EON system
This system connects stations
belonging to the same network. It
enables the broadcast of
TA trafic
information or a PTY programme
transmitted by a station belonging to
the same network as the station to
which you are listening.
This service is available when you
have selected the TA trafic informa-
tion programme or the PTY function. After inserting a disc
with the printed face up-
wards, the player starts
automatically.
To listen to a disc which is already
inserted, press button "M".
Ejecting a disc
Shufle (RDM)
When the CD is selected, keep but-
ton "M" pressed for two seconds.
The tracks will be played in random
sequence. Pressing button "M"
again for two seconds returns you to
normal play.
Press button
"B" to eject
the disc from the player.
Selecting a track Press button "H" to
select the next track.
The use of copied compact
discs may cause malfunc-
tions.
Use circular compact discs

Selecting CD changer mode
Press button "L".
Selecting a disc
Press a button from "1" to "6" to
select the corresponding disc.
Press button "H" to
select the next track.

6 CD CHANGER*
To insert a disc into the changer:
- open sliding panel
A,
- press button B to eject the
cartridge C,
- open one of the six compartments of the cartridge by pulling tab D,
- insert the disc into the cartridge,
with the printed face upwards,
and close the compartment,
- insert the cartridge into the changer, observing the direction of the arrow,
- close the sliding panel A.
Press the
"MAN" button.
Accelerated play
Keep button
"H" or "J" pressed for
forwards or backwards accelerated
play.

Advice on operation
Select the air distribution most suited
to your requirements and the climatic
conditions.
Gradually adjust the temperature
setting for your comfort.
Position the air control in the ''Out-
side Air'' position.
For perfectly even air distribution,
take care not to obstruct the exterior
air intake grille and the vents. Check
that the passenger compartment il-
ter is in good condition.
When the engine is cold, to prevent
too great a distribution of cold air, the
ventilation will only reach its optimum
level progressively.
To be effective, the air conditioning (A/C button), should only be used
with the windows closed.
If, when the vehicle has been parked
in the sun for a prolonged period, the
interior temperature remains very
high, do not hesitate to ventilate the
passenger compartment for a few
minutes. De-icing the rear door screen
and/or mirrors
With the engine running, pressing
the control de-ices the rear screen
and/or mirrors.
It switches off automatically after ap-
proximately twelve minutes.
Pressing the control again switches
the de-icing system on again for
twelve minutes.
It is possible to switch off the de-icing
by pressing the control before the
twelve minutes have elapsed.

HEATING
AIR CONDITIONING
1. Temperature adjustment
Slide the control 1 from
blue (cold) to red (hot) to
adjust the temperature
to your requirements.
2. Air low adjustment Slide the control 2 from the
minimum (left) position to
the maximum (right) posi-
tion to obtain an air low
suficient to ensure your
comfort.
3. Air intake "Recirculated inside air"
position.
Recirculation of the inside air
permits isolation of the pas-
senger compartment from
external odours and smoke.
Used simultaneously with the air con-
ditioning, the recirculation permits
improvement of the air conditioning
performance at cold settings.
When used in a humid climate, the
recirculation presents risks of misting
of the windows.

Slide the control
4 to direct the air
low towards:
the centre and side vents,
"Exterior air intake" position.
As soon as possible, place the con-
trol 3 in this position to avoid the risks
of misting of the windows and dete-
rioration of the air quality.
4. Air distribution adjustment
the footwells,
the windscreen, the side
windows and the footwells,
the windscreen and the
side windows (demisting
- de-icing). To quickly de-ice or demist the wind-
screen and side windows:
- set the temperature
1 and air low 2
controls to maximum,
- close the centre vents,
- place the exterior air intake control 3 in the "Exterior air intake" posi-
tion,
- switch on the air conditioning by pressing button 5.
5. Air conditioning control
The air conditioning is designed to op-
erate in all seasons. In summer, it en-
ables the temperature to be lowered
and in winter, above 0 °C, it increases
the effectiveness of the demisting. Press the switch 5, the indi-
cator light comes on.
The air conditioning does not
operate while the air low adjust-
ment control 2 is in the minimum
position.
Note: when stationary, it is quite
normal to notice an accumulation
of water under the vehicle as the air
conditioning system discharges its
condensation drop by drop.
Ventilation
Important precaution
Operate the air conditioning system
for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a
month, to keep it in perfect working
order.
If the system does not produce
cold air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Note: to optimise the operation of
the air conditioning, leave the vents
open.
Additional heating
Vehicles itted with an HDI engine
may be itted with automatic addition-
al heating to improve your comfort.
When the engine is idling or the
vehicle is stationary, it is quite normal
to notice a high-pitched whistling
noise and a slight emission of smoke
and odours.

FRONT SEATS
Driver and passenger (single)
seats
1 - Forwards-backwards
adjustment
Lift the control and slide the seat for-
wards or backwards.
2 - Driver's seat height adjustment
Pull the control upwards. Take your
weight off the seat to raise or push on
the seat to lower.
3 - Seat back angle adjustment
Push the control towards the rear to
obtain the correct seat back angle.

4 - Head restraint height
adjustment
To raise or lower the head restraint,
pull it forwards, sliding it at the same
time.
The adjustment is correct when
the upper edge of the head re-
straint is level with the top of the
head.
To remove the head restraint, place it
in the top position, push the lug and
pull it upwards.
To put it back in position, locate the
stems of the head restraint in the
holes, taking care to keep them in
line with the seat back.
Never drive with the head
restraints removed; they
must be in place and ad-
justed correctly. 5 - Adjustable armrest
To place the armrest in its rest
position:
- raise it until it is in line with the seat
back.
To place the armrest in a position
ready for use:
- fold it down fully,
- raise it slowly to the required posi- tion,
- if the position required is passed, repeat the operations above.

FRONT BENCH SEAT
The two-seat passenger bench seat
is ixed.
On a vehicle itted with a partition, it
is supplied in the forward position.
On a vehicle which is not itted with a
partition, it is supplied in the rearward
position.
You can have it installed in
the forward position by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
The adjustment is correct when
the upper edge of the head re-
straint is level with the top of the
head.
To remove the head restraint, move
it to the upper position, push the tab
and pull it upwards.
To reit the head restraint, place the
stems in the holes taking care to
keep them in line with the seat back.
B - Storage basket
Never drive with the head
restraints removed; they
must be in place and cor-
rectly adjusted.
A - Height adjustable head
restraint
To raise or lower the head restraint,
pull it forwards sliding it at the same
time.

REAR SEATS
2nd row bench seat
The bench seat removal and installation operations must be carri
ed out by two
people.
Removal to maximise the load
space
From the rear:
F fold the back of the bench seat,
F lift the control B to release the
rear feet of the bench seat,
F tilt the bench seat,
F detach the front feet from their
ixings by lifting the bench seat
using the handles C,
F remove the bench seat through
the sliding side door. Installation
From the sliding side door side:
F
check that there is nothing ob-
structing the mountings and
preventing correct locking of
the feet of the bench seat,
F lift the bench seat using the han-
dles C,
F place the bench seat inside the
vehicle through the sliding side
door,
F position the front feet in their ix-
ings D, located on the loor,
F reit the assembly checking that
the front feet are secured cor-
rectly.
Folding to obtain the table
position
From the rear:
F place the head restraints in the
low position,
F pull the strap A to release the
back of the bench seat,
F tilt the back of the bench seat onto
the seat cushion. From the rear:
F
operate the control B to check
that the rear feet are not locked,
F tilt the folded bench seat towards
the rear; the rear feet lock auto-
matically,
F check that the two central
strengtheners E are hooked on
the loor correctly,
F pull strap A to release the back of
the bench seat,
F raise the back of the bench seat.
Check that the bench seat is se-
cured correctly (see section "Se-
curing the bench seat").
