Function
Theilluminationisautomaticallyadjustedtotheambientbrightnessbythelightsensorinthetachometer.
Inaddition,whenthecarlightsareswitchedon,theinstrumentandswitchsymbolbrightnesscanbemanuallyadjusted.
Warning!
Riskoflossofcontroloranaccident,resultinginpersonalinjuryordeath.
Donotreachthroughthesteering-wheelspokeswhiledriving.
Dimminginstrumentillumination
TurnadjustmentbuttonAintheappropriatedirectionandholdituntilthedesiredbright-nesshasbeenreached.Thechosenlevelofbrightnessisindicatedbyabardisplayinthedisplayfieldoftheon-boardcomputer.
Note
Whenthecarlightsareswitchedon,thescalelight-ingforlightdialsswitchesonandoffautomaticallydependingontheambientbrightness.

Tachometer
Indication
Thetachometershowstheenginespeedinrevolutionsperminute(rpm).Thebeginningoftheredmarksattherightendofthescaleindicatesthemaximumpermissibleenginerpm.Aspeedlimiterpreventstheenginefrombeingoverrevvedduringacceleration.Beforereachingthisarea,thenexthighergearshouldbeselected.Shifttothenextlowergearwhentheenginerpmdropsbelow1500rpm.
Caution!
Toavoidsevereenginedamage.
Alwaysobservetheenginerpmbeforedown-shiftingtoalowergear,soyoudonotexceedthemaximumenginerpm.
TurnSignalIndicatorLight
Indication
Flashesinsynchronismwiththeturnsignals.
Leftarrow-leftturnsignalsRightarrow-rightturnsignals
Ifthefrequencyofthedisplaybecomesnoticeablyfaster,checktheoperationoftheturnsignals.
HighBeam
Indicatorlight
Lightswhenhighbeamorheadlightflasherisswitchedon.Theindicatorlightgoesoutwhenthehighbeamsareswitchedoff.

Avoidhighenginespeedsandheavyengineloading.
Pointerinthemiddle-normaloperatingtemper-ature
Thepointermaymoveuptotheredareawhenengineisheavilyloadedandoutsidetemperature
ishigh,butshouldreturnto“normal”whenengineloadisreduced.
Warninglight“A”
Ifthecoolanttemperatureistoohigh,thewarninglightcomeson.Additionally,awarningisdisplayedintheon-boardcomputer.
Pullofftheroad,turnofftheengineandallowtocool.
Checkradiatorandairpassagesinfrontendofcarforobstructions.
Checkcoolantlevel.Ifnecessary,addcoolantandhavefaultremediedatanauthorizedPorschedealer.

Refillvolumeapprox.16.9U.S.gallons(64liters).
Ifthevehicle’sinclinationchanges(e.g.goingupordownhill),minordeviationsintheindicationmayoccur.
Note
Ifasmallquantityoffuelisaddedtoanearlyemptyfueltank,thefuelgaugecannotmeasuretheaddedfuelaccurately.The”remainingrange“readoutwillalsobeincorrect.
Warninglight“A”
Whentheengineisrunning,thewarninglightofthelevelgaugelightsupiflessthanapprox.2.6U.S.gallons(10liters)offuelremainsinthetankortherangeonremainingfuelfallsbelowapprox.30miles(50km).Additionally,awarningisdisplayedintheon-boardcomputer.
Fillupatthenextopportunity.
Caution!
Topreventdamagetotheemissioncontrolsystemandengine.
Neverdrivethetankcompletelyoutoffuel.
Avoidhighcorneringspeedsafterthewarninglightshavecomeon.

Thewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelcomesonwhentheignitionisfirstturnedonandremainsonbrieflyasabulbcheck.Ifthelightdoesnotcomeon,havethebulbreplacedpromptly.
Ifthewarninglightsintheinstrumentpanelandon-boardcomputercomeonandremainonwhiledriving,itsuggests:
–apotentialenginecontrolproblemandtheneedforsystemserviceor
–animproperlyfastenedtankcapor
–refuelingwithenginerunning.
