ÀOil pressure warning light
This lights up when the ignition
is switched on and goes out after ap-
proximately three seconds. If it comes
on on the road, accompanied by the
® warning light and a beep, stop
immediately and cut the ignition. Check
the oil level (refer to the information on
“Engine oil level” in Section 4). If the
level is normal, the light has come on
for another reason: please contact an
authorised dealer.
ÔEngine coolant temperature
warning light
This lights up when the ignition is
switched on and goes out when the
engine is started. If it comes on on
the road, accompanied by the
®
warning light and a beep, stop immedi-
ately and cut the ignition.
Check the coolant level (please refer
to the information on “Levels” in
Section 4). If the level is normal, the
light has come on for another reason:
contact an authorised dealer.
WARNING LIGHTS (5/5)
The presence and operation of the warning lights DEPEND ON THE EQUIPMENT\
AND COUNTRY.
Lane departure system
warning light

Engine standby warning

you to change to a higher gear (up
arrow) or lower gear (down arrow).

You may customise your instrument
panel A with content and colours of
your choice.
Press switch 1 or 2 as many times as
necessary to obtain the desired display.
Rev counter (rpm × 1,000)
This is displayed according to how the
instrument panel is customised.
Speedometer (km/h or mph)
Fuel gauge
If the level is at the minimum, the M
warning light integrated in the indicator
comes on, accompanied by a beep. Fill
up as soon as possible.
Engine oil level low warning
When the engine is started, the instru-
ment panel display alerts you when the
minimum oil level is reached. Refer to
Section 4: “Engine oil level”.
The first time the warning appears, it
can be cleared by pressing button 4
or 5 on the end of stalk 3.
Subsequent warnings will disappear
automatically after 30 seconds.

(option to switch to km/h)
– With the ignition off, press button 4 or 5 and the start button 6;
– the speedometer unit indicator flashes for approximately ten sec-
onds, then the new unit is displayed:
release button 4 or 5 when the unit
stops flashing.
To return to the previous mode, repeat
the same operation.
Note: once the battery is switched off,
the trip computer and warning system
automatically returns to the original unit
of measurement.Overspeed buzzer
Depending on the vehicle and country,
a buzzer sounds for approximately
10 seconds every 40 seconds, as long
as the vehicle is travelling in excess of
72 mph (120 km/h).

With the ignition switched on and the engine not running ,
when the message “Mileage before next service” is displayed,
press button 2 or 3 for around 5 seconds to display the mile-
age before the next service (distance or time remaining before
the next service). When the distance value approaches its limit,
there are several possible scenarios:
– distance/time remaining less than 900 miles (1,500 km) or
one month : the message “Service due in” is displayed ac-
companied by the nearest term (distance or time);
– distance equal to 0 miles or service date reached: the
message “service vehicle” is displayed accompanied by the
© warning light.
The vehicle requires a service as soon as possible.

Resetting: to reset the distance before service, press and hold button 2 or 3 for approximately 10 seconds until the display
shows the service mileage without flashing.
NB: if a service is performed without changing the engine oil, only the mi\
leage before the next service should be reset. In the
event of an oil change, both the distance before the next service and th\
e next oil change should be reset.

when the message “Mileage before next service” is displayed,
press button 2 or 3 for around 5 seconds to display the mile-
age before the next service, then briefly press button 2 or 3 to
view the mileage before the next oil change (distance or time
remaining before the next service). When the distance value ap-
proaches its limit, there are several possible scenarios:
– distance/time remaining less than 900 miles (1,500 km) or

– range equal to 0 km/miles or service date reached: the

Depending on the vehicle, the mileage before an oil change varies accord\
ing to the driving style (frequent driving at low speed ,
door-to-door journeys, extensive use at idling speed, towing a trailer, etc.). The distance remaining until the next oil change can
therefore decrease more quickly in some cases than the actual distance t\
ravelled.
Resetting: to reset the mileage before the next service, press and hold button 2 or 3 for approximately 10 seconds until the
display shows the mileage before service without flashing.
NB: if a service is performed without changing the engine oil, only the mi\
leage before the next service should be reset. In the
event of an oil change, both the distance before the next service and th\
e next oil change should be reset.

« Parking brake on » Indicates that the parking brake has been applied.
« Please remove keycard » Request to remove the RENAULT card from the reader when you leave the vehicle.
« Checking control functions » Displayed with the ignition on when the vehicle is running self-diagnost\
ics.
« Traction control off » Indicates that you have deactivated the traction control function.
« Turn steering
wheel + START » Turn the steering wheel slightly whilst pressing the vehicle start button\
to unlock the steering
column.
« Steering wheel not locked » Indicates that the steering column has not been locked.
These can help in the vehicle starting phase, or give information about \
a selection or a driving status.
Examples of information messages are given in the following pages.

TRIP COMPUTER AND WARNING SYSTEM: operating fault messages
These appear with the © warning light and mean that you should drive very carefully to an author\
ised dealer as
soon as possible. If you fail to follow this recommendation, you risk da\
maging your vehicle.
They disappear when the display selection key is pressed or after severa\
l seconds and are stored in the computer log. The
© warning light stays on. Examples of operating fault messages are given \
in the following pages.

« Clean diesel filter » Indicates the presence of water in the diesel filter; contact an approve\

as soon as possible.
« Check lighting » Indicates a fault in the directional headlights.
« Check vehicle » Indicates a fault in one of the pedal sensors, battery management system\

level sensor.
« Check airbag » Indicates a fault in the restraint system in addition to the seat belts.\
In the event
of an accident, it is possible that they may not be triggered.
« Check antipollution system » Indicates a fault in the vehicle’s particle filter system.

TRIP COMPUTER AND WARNING SYSTEM: warning message
These appear with the ® warning light and require you to stop immediately, for your own safety, as soon as traf-
fic conditions allow. Stop your engine and do not restart it. Contact an approved Dealer.
Examples of warning messages are given in the following pages. Note: the messages appear on the display either individually
or alternately (when there are several messages to be displayed), and \
may be accompanied by a warning light and/or a beep.
Examples of messages Interpreting the display selected
“Engine failure hazard” Indicates an injection fault, the vehicle’s engine has overheated or there is a
serious engine fault.
“Braking system fault” Indicates a fault in the braking system.
“Power steering fault” or “Risk of steer-
ing locking ” Indicates a fault in the steering.
“Parking brake fault” or “Stop vehicle” Indicates an electronic parking brake fault. Apply the electronic parking brake
manually and ensure that the vehicle is immobilised using a chock.
“Battery charging fault” Indicates a fault in the vehicle battery charging circuit (alternator e\
tc.).
“Puncture” Indicates a puncture on the tyre displayed on the instrument panel.

VEHICLE SETTINGS CUSTOMISATION MENU
Adjusting the settings
Depending on the vehicle equipment,
press button 3 or 4 to select the func-
tion to be modified:
a) Auto door locking while driving;
b) Unlock driver’s door only;
c) Auto rear wipe with reverse gear;
d) Auto dipped-beam headlights;
e) Front parking sensor;
f) Automatic main beam lights;
g) Lane departure warning: volume;
h) Lane departure warning: sensitivity;
i) Rear parking sensor;
j) Parking sensor: volume;
k) TIME;
l) LANGUAGE.
On equipped vehicles, this function,
which is integrated in trip computer and
warning system 1, allows you to acti-
vate/deactivate and adjust some of the
vehicle’s functions.
Accessing the vehicle
settings personalisation
menu
With the vehicle stationary, press
button 2 , 3 or 4 to access the various
settings.
Once the function has been selected,
activate or deactivate it using button
“OK” 2:
= function activated
< function deactivated
If you select either “Parking sensor:
volume” or “LANGUAGE”, you will
have to make a further selection (sound
volume of the parking distance control
or instrument panel language). In this
case, make your selection and confirm
it by pressing button “OK” 2.
To exit the menu, select “EXIT”, then
confirm by pressing button “OK” 2.
Note: for vehicles which are fitted with
switch 5, please refer to the specific in-
structions for the multimedia display.
The vehicle settings personalisation menu cannot be used when driving. At
speeds of above 12 mph (20 km/h) for vehicles with a manual gearbox (\
0 mph for
vehicles with an automatic gearbox), the on-board display returns autom\
atically
to the trip computer and warning system mode.
