\fhis unit can only be activated when the ignition switch
for Anti-\fheft System is in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
Each radio is uniquely matched to the vehicle’s
immobilizer and therefore cannot be transferred to
any other vehicle.
Audio main operation
\fhe audio system operates when the ignition switch is
in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
POWER ON/OFF button:
\fo turn on the audio system, push the POWER ON\b
OFF button.
.\fhe system will turn on in the mode, (radio or CD)
which was used immediately before the system
was turned off.
. If there is no CD loaded, the radio will be turned
on.
\fo turn off the audio system, push the POWER ON\b
OFF button.
Volume control:
\fo control the volume, turn the VOLUME control dial.
\furn the VOLUME control dial clockwise to make the
sound louder.
\furn the VOLUME control dial counterclockwise to
make the sound quieter.
Sound preference button:
\fo enter the audio mode (radio or CD) , push the
button. When no CD is loaded, the audio system will
automatically switch to the radio mode. \fo change the audio settings (BASS, \fREBLE,
FADER, BALANCE, EQ) , push the
button or
EN\fER button to select the mode.

EQ (Equalizer): Use this control to change the preset

If the audio settings mode is unchanged for approxi-
mately 8 seconds, the audio settings mode will
automatically return to the normal mode.
MENU button:
\fo configure the SPEED volume and BEEP settings,
perform the following procedure:
1. Push the MENU button.
2. \furn the VOLUME dial clockwise or counter- clockwise. \fhe display message will change as
follows:
PHONE SE\fUP ⇔SPEED VOL⇔CLOCK ⇔
BEEP ⇔PHONE SE\fUP
. When SPEED VOL appears on the display, briefly
push on the EN\fER button then turn the VOLUME
dial clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the
level of the volume. Adjusting the setting to 0 (zero) turns off the
speed volume feature. Increasing the speed
volume setting results in the audio volume
increasing more rapidly with vehicle speed. Push
the EN\fER button again to save the setting.
. When BEEP appears on the display, briefly push
the EN\fER button and then turn the VOLUME dial
clockwise or counterclockwise to switch the beep
sound on or off. Push the EN\fER button again to
save the setting.
\fo configure Alternative Frequency, Regional and
Language settings, perform the following procedure:
1. Push and hold the MENU button for at least 1.5 seconds.
2. \furn the VOLUME dial clockwise or counter- clockwise. \fhe display message will change as
follows:
AF⇔REG ⇔LANGUAGE ⇔AF
. \fo activate or deactivate the AF and REG mode,
briefly push on the EN\fER button when AF or
REG appears on the display and turn the
VOLUME dial clockwise or counterclockwise to
switch between the off or on position. After
selection, push the EN\fER button to confirm the
settings.
— When the AF mode is enabled, the audio unit
will automatically re-tune to a stronger fre-
quency if the radio signal becomes weak.
— When the REG mode is enabled, the audio unit will maintain and hold the station which is
broadcasting local (regional) programmes.
. \fo change the display language, briefly push the
EN\fER button when LANGUAGE appears on the
display then turn the VOLUME dial clockwise or
counterclockwise to select the appropriate lan-
guage setting.

Loading:
Ins\brt a CD into th\b slot with th\b lab\bl sid\b facing up.
Th\b CD will b\b guid\bd automatically into th\b slot and
will start playing. If th\b radio is alr\bady playing, it will
automatically turn off, and th\b CD will start playing.
CAUTION:
Do not force the CD into the slot. This could
damage the player.

Audio main operation

To turn on the audio system, push the Power button.

Volume control:
To control the volume, turn the VOLUME control knob.
Turn the knob clockwise to make the sound louder.
Turn the knob counterclockwise to make the sound
quieter.

To change the audio settings, push the

select the mode while the CD or radio is on.
Push the
button until the desired mode appears
on the display.

Clock adjustment:
To adjust the clock, turn the clock display on and

display. The hour and minute digits blink.

3. To adjust the minutes, push the TU\bE/FF·REW/ FOLDER button

If no user input is detected for 10 seconds, or when
the \fME\bU” button is pushed, the clock setting mode
will automatically return to the normal mode.
CD player operation

Loading:
Insert a CD into the slot with the label side facing up.
The CD will be guided automatically into the slot and
will start playing. To stop playing, push the Power

CAUTION:
Do not force the compact disc into the slot. This
could damage the player.

Push the MUTE butt\bn t\b mute the audi\b system.
MUTE appears \bn the display. T\b unmute, use any \bne

AUX button:
The AUX IN jack is l\bcated \bn the audi\b unit. The AUX
IN audi\b input jack accepts any standard anal\bg audi\b
input such as fr\bm a p\brtable cassette tape player, CD
player, MP3 player \br lapt\bp c\bmputer.
Push the AUX butt\bn t\b play a c\bmpatible device when
it is plugged int\b the AUX IN jack.

After selecting the preferred language\f push the
ENTE\b button to exit the menu.
To configure the SPEED volume and BEEP settings\f
perform the following procedure:
1. Push the MENU button.
2. Turn the Volume control dial clockwise or counter- clockwise. The display message will change as
follows:
SPEED VOL ⇔CLOCK ⇔BEEP
. When SPEED VOL appears on the display\f briefly
push the ENTE\b button then turn the VOLUME
control dial clockwise or counterclockwise to
adjust the level of the volume.

3. Push the ENTER button. ("CLOCK OFF" or "CLOCK ON" is displayed.\f
4. To turn on the clock display, turn the VOLUME control knob till "CLOCK ON" is displayed. To turn
off the clock display, turn the VOLUME control
knob till "CLOCK OFF" is displayed, and push
ENTER.
Clock adjustment
To adjust the time of the clock, perform the following
operations.
1. Push the ENTER button while "CLOCK ON" is displayed.
2. The hour display will flash.
3. Turn the VOLUME control knob to adjust the hour.
4. Push the ENTER button. The minute display will flash.
5. Turn the VOLUME control knob to adjust the minute.
6. Push the ENTER button to complete the clock adjustment.
AUX button:
The AUX IN jack is located on the audio unit. The AUX
IN audio input jack accepts any standard analog audio
input such as from a portable cassette tape player, CD
player, MP3 player or laptop computer.
Push the AUX button to play a compatible device when
it is plugged into the AUX IN jack.
RENAULT strongly recommends using a stereo mini
plug cable when connecting your music device to the
audio system. Music may not play properly when a

All the tracks on all of the CDs will be pla\fed in a
random order.
\bIX DISC:
The CD changer pla\fs all the tracks from one
disc once in a random order.
RPT ALL:
All the tracks of all the CDs will be pla\fed
continuousl\f in sequential order.
CD EJECT button:
When the
button is pushed for less than 1.5
seconds while CDs are loaded, the previousl\f pla\fed
CD will be ejected.
When the
button is pushed for less than 1.5
seconds while a CD is being pla\fed, the CD being
pla\fed will be ejected, and the next CD will be pla\fed.
When the
button is pushed for more than 1.5
seconds while CDs are loaded, all of the CDs in the
CD changer will be ejected.
If a CD is ejected b\f pushing the
button, and it is
not taken out from the loading slot within 15 seconds,
the CD will automaticall\f be reloaded into the slot to
protect the CD.
If an error message appears on the displa\f, push the
button.
When the ignition switch is in the “OFF” or “LOCK”
position, it is possible to eject all the CDs. However,
the audio unit will not be activated.
LW-\bW-F\b radio operation

The audio s\fstem operates when the ignition switch is
in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
FM-AM button:
When the
button is pushed while the audio
s\fstem is off, the audio s\fstem and the radio will turn
on. When the
button is pushed while the CD
pla\fer is alread\f operating, it will automaticall\f turn off
and the radio will turn on.
To change the radio band, push the
button until
the preferred band appears.
F\b 1 ?F\b 2 ?F\b T ?\bW ?LW
During F\b reception, when the
button is pushed
for longer than 1.5 seconds, stations are searched for
and the 6 stations of the F\b T band. The sound is
muted until the auto store operation is completed,
upon which preset channel 1 is automaticall\f tuned in.
TUNE button:
When adjusting the broadcasting station frequenc\f
manuall\f, push the
button until the preferred
frequenc\f is obtained.
The frequenc\f changes in steps of 100 kHz on the F\b
band, 9 kHz on the \bW band, and 3 kHz on the LW
band.
SEEK button:
When adjusting the broadcasting station frequenc\f
automaticall\f, push the
button. When the
s\fstem detects a broadcasting station, it will stop at
that station.
*1*2*3*4*5*6Radio memory buttons:
The audio s\fstem can store up to 18 F\b station
frequencies (six in each of F\b 1, F\b 2 and F\b T) , 6
\bW and 6 LW station frequencies.
To store the station frequenc\f manuall\f:
1. Tune to the preferred broadcasting station fre- quenc\f b\f using the
orbutton.
2. Push and hold a radio memor\f button
*1-*6until a beep sounds. (The radio mutes when the
memor\f button is pushed.)
3. The channel indicator will be displa\fed and the radio mute will be cancelled, indicating that the
memor\f is stored properl\f.
4. Perform steps 1 - 3 for all other memor\f buttons.
If the batter\f cable is disconnected, or if the audio fuse
blows, the radio memor\f will be erased. If this occurs,
reset the desired stations.

Audio main operation
The audio system operates when the ignition switch is
in the \fACC” or \fO\b” position.
Power/VOL dial:
Power ON/OFF:
To turn on the audio system, push the
dial.
. The system will turn on in the mode, which was
used immediately before the system was turned
off.
. If a CD is inserted or a USB and/or an AUX device
is connected when the system is turned off, and if
the system is turned on again with the devices
removed or disconnected, the radio will turn on.
To turn off the audio system, push the
dial.
Volume control:
To control the volume, turn the
dial.
Turn the
dial clockwise to make the sound louder.
Turn the
dial counterclockwise to make the sound
quieter.
SETUP button:
To configure Audio, Clock, Bluetooth, Language or
Scroll direction settings, perform the following proce-
dure:
1. Push the
button.
2. Push the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial.
3. Turn the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial clockwise or counterclockwise. The setting menu will be dis-
played in the following order:
Audio ⇔Clock ⇔Bluetooth ⇔Language ⇔
Scroll Direction
After the desired levels have been set, either push the
button repeatedly, push thebutton, or wait
for several seconds without pushing any buttons to exit
the menu screen.
Audio adjustments:
Push the
button to enter the setup menu screen
and then select \fAudio”.
Each time the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial is pushed, the
mode will change as follows:

Turn the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial clockwise or
counterclockwise to adjust the following items and
push the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial to confirm.
Bass control:
Use this control to enhance or attenuate the bass
response sound.
Treble control:
Use this control to enhance or attenuate the treble.
Balance control:
Use this control to adjust the balance of the volume
between the left and right speakers.
Fader control:
Use this control to adjust the balance of the volume
between the front and rear speakers (if equipped) .
AUX VOL (Auxiliary volume) control:
Use this control to adjust the volume output from the
auxiliary source.
SPD VOL (Speed volume) control (if equipped):
This mode controls the volume output from the
speakers automatically in relation to vehicle speed.
Adjusting the setting to \f0” (zero) turns off the speed volume feature.
Clock setting:
Push the
button to enter the setup menu screen
and then select \fClock”.
Turn the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial, the mode will
change as follows:
Set Time ⇔O\b/OFF ⇔Clock Format ⇔Set Time
Set Time:
Select \fSet Time” then adjust the clock as follows:
The hour display will start flashing. Turn the TU\bE/
ME\bU/E\bTER dial to adjust the hour and push the
TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial. The minute display will start
flashing. Turn the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial to adjust
the minute and push the TU\bE/ME\bU/E\bTER dial to
finish the clock adjustment.
O\b/OFF:
Set the clock display to on or off when the audio unit is
turned off. If set in the \fO\b” position, the clock will be
displayed when the audio unit is turned off either by
pushing the
dial or when the ignition switch is
placed in the \fOFF” position.
Clock Format:
Switch the clock display between 24-hour and 12-
hour clock mode.
Bluetooth setting:
It is possible to set the Bluetooth settings. (See
\fBluetooth
Šaudio player operation” (P.4-52) .)
Language setting:
Push the
button to enter the setup menu screen
and then select \fLanguage”.
Select the appropriate language and push the TU\bE/
ME\bU/E\bTER dial. Upon completion, the screen will
automatically adopt the language setting.

While a CD with rec\frded music inf\frmati\fn ta\bs (CD-
text/ID3-text ta\bs) is bein\b played, the title \ff the
played track is displayed. If the title inf\frmati\fn is n\ft
pr\fvided then “Track” is displayed.
When the
butt\fn is pushed repeatedly, further
inf\frmati\fn ab\fut the track can be displayed al\fn\b
with the track title as f\fll\fws:

Track details:
By pushin\b and h\fldin\b the
butt\fn will turn the
display will sh\fw a detailed \fverview and after a few
sec\fnds will return t\f the main display. Push the
butt\fn t\f return t\f the main display immediately.
CD Eject button:
When the
butt\fn is pushed while a CD is l\faded,
the CD will be ejected.
When the
butt\fn is pushed twice, the CD will be
ejected further, s\f that the CD can be rem\fved with
ease.
When the i\bniti\fn switch is in the “OFF” \fr “LOCK”
p\fsiti\fn it is p\fssible t\f eject the CD currently bein\b
played. H\fwever the audi\f unit will n\ft be activated.
If a CD is ejected by pushin\b the
butt\fn, and it is
n\ft rem\fved fr\fm the l\fadin\b sl\ft f\fr s\fme time, the
CD will aut\fmatically be rel\faded t\f the sl\ft t\f pr\ftect
the CD.
FM-AM radi\f \fperati\fn
The audi\f system \fperates when the i\bniti\fn switch is
in the “ACC” \fr “ON” p\fsiti\fn.
FM·AM band select button:
When the
butt\fn is pushed while the audi\f
system is turned \fff, the audi\f system will turn \fn and
the radi\f will turn \fn.
When the
butt\fn is pushed while an\fther audi\f
s\furce is playin\b, the \fther audi\f s\furce will turn \fff
and the radi\f will turn \fn.
T\f chan\be the radi\f band, push the
butt\fn until the desired band appears.
FM 1

butt\fn is pushed

and the 6 stati\fns \ff the FM T band are tuned in.

STORE” appears in the display and the s\fund is muted
until the aut\fst\fre \fperati\fn is c\fmpleted, up\fn which
preset channel 1 is aut\fmatically tuned in.
TUNE/MENU/ENTER dial:
When adjustin\b the br\fadcastin\b stati\fn frequency
manually, turn the TUNE/MENU/ENTER dial until the
preferred frequency is achieved.
The frequency chan\bes in steps \ff 100 kHz \fn the FM
band and 9 kHz \fn the AM band.
Fast Forward/Rewind buttons:
When adjustin\b the br\fadcastin\b stati\fn frequency
aut\fmatically, push the
/butt\fn. When the
system detects a br\fadcastin\b stati\fn, it will st\fp at
the stati\fn.
*1*2*3*4*5*6(Radio memory) buttons:
Durin\b radi\f recepti\fn, pushin\b the radi\f mem\fry
butt\fn f\fr less than 2 sec\fnds will select the st\fred
radi\f stati\fn.
The audi\f system can st\fre up t\f 18 FM stati\fn
frequencies (six in each \ff FM 1, FM 2 and FM T) and 6
AM stati\fn frequencies.
T\f st\fre the stati\fn frequency manually:
1. Tune t\f the desired br\fadcastin\b stati\fn fre- quency by usin\b the
/butt\fn.
