SENSOR CIRCUIT
CC.0 : Short circuit to earth
CO.1 : Open circuit or short circuit to +12 V.
1. DEF: Micro-breaks
2. DEF: Signal outside lower limit
3. DEF: Signal inconsistency
NOTESConditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault becomes present:
– with the ignition on (for status CC.0),
– after a road test with a warm engine (for status CO. 1).
Special notes:
If the fault is present:
– particle filter regeneration is inhibited,
– the level 1 warning light is lit,
– the OBD warning light illuminates after three consecutive driving cycles (starting + 5
seconds + switching off the ignition and waiting 1 minute).
IMPORTANT
The catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature sensor only measures
temperatures above 50°C.
Use CLIO III, MODUS, MEGANE II ph2, SCENIC II ph2 and Kangoo II Wiring
diagrams Technical Note.
Run command AC029 High pressure circuit sealing test and check PR810 Catalytic converter 1
downstream temperature.
If the catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature is above 80°C, then the sensor is correct, otherwise continue
the fault finding procedure.
Check the connection and condition of the connector of the catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature
sensor, component code 1765.
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,
385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Measure the resistance of the catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature sensor, component code 1765
between connections 3AGX and 3AGY.
6886Ω <X <6906Ω at 200°C,
2565Ω <X <2585Ω at 300°C,
1192Ω <X <1212Ω at 400°C,663Ω <X <683Ω at 500°C,
414Ω <X <434Ω
at 600°C,
277Ω <X <297Ω at 700°C,
If the resistance does not match these values, replace the catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature
sensor.
AFTER REPAIRDeal with any faults displayed by the diagnostic tool.
Clear the computer fault memory.
Carry out a road test followed by another check with the diagnostic tool.

1. DEF: Signal outside lower limit
2. DEF: Signal outside upper limit
NOTESConditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault becomes present after a road test with particle filter regeneration.
Special notes:
If the fault is present:
The level 1 fault warning light is lit on the instrument panel.
Use CLIO III, MODUS, MEGANE II ph2, SCENIC II ph2 and Kangoo II Wiring
diagrams Technical Note.
With the ignition on, check the continuity, insulation and absence of interference resistance on the following
connections:
–3AGX between components 1765 and 120,
–3AGY between components 1765 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, replace the turbine upstream temperature sensor.
While the engine is idling, check the return flow rate at the injectors.
After 5minutes the return volume must be between 16 mland 24 ml per injector.
If this tolerance is incorrect, replace the faulty injector(s).
Check the temperature of the catalytic converter; check that it is not too low.
Check that the exhaust system is not pierced.
Replace any faulty components.
AFTER REPAIRDeal with any faults displayed by the diagnostic tool.
Clear the computer fault memory.
Carry out a road test followed by another check with the diagnostic tool.

If necessary, replace the air filter (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370 and 417 Mechanics, 12A, Fuel mixture, Air filter:
Remove - Refitting).
●Check that the air filter box inlet and outlet are not obstructed.
Repair if necessary.
Check the catalytic converter no. 1 downstream temperature sensor:
●Check there is no corrosion inside the connector and repair if necessary.
●With the + after ignition feed switched on, check for the + 5 V feed on the following connection:
– Connection code 3AGY between component 1765 and the vehicle earth.
●Check the continuity, insulation and absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
– Connection code 3AGX between components 1765 and 120.
