* Grip the driver’s door handle to unlock the
driver’s door. Grip the front passenger’s door
handle to unlock all doors.
All doors will be locked/unlocked by the following procedures carrying the access key on
your person. (The driver should always carry the access key.)

Side door (front door handles only):

The driver’s door will be unlocked.
(To unlock all doors, briefly press the button
a second time within 5 seconds.)

Adjust the seat position and pull the tilt/
telescopic lock lever down.

Move the steering wheel to the desired level.

Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in
place.
Make sure that the steering wheel is securely
locked by moving it up and down, and forward and
backward.

To start engine:
STEP1: Carry the access key, and sit in the driver’s seat.
STEP2: Apply the parking brake.
STEP3: Shift the select lever in the P position.
STEP4: Depress the brake pedal until the indicator on
the push-button ignition switch turns green.
STEP5: While depressing the brake pedal, press the
push-button ignition switch.
To stop engine:
STEP1: Stop the vehicle completely.
STEP2: Move the select lever to the P position .
STEP3: Press the push-button ignition switch.
Every time the button is pressed without depressing the brake pedal, the\
power is switched

The key can be turned from ACC to LOCK
only when the key is pushed in while turning
it (all models) and the select lever is in the P

You must raise the slider and hold it in that position
before you can move the shift lever to the R position.
To change gears, fully depress the clutch pedal, move
the shift lever, and gradually let up on the clutch pedal. Shift paddle:
Gearshifts can be performed using the shift paddle
behind the steering wheel.

The high beam assist function automatically changes
the headlight from high beam to low beam (or vice versa).
The high beam assist function is activated when:
1. The light control switch is in the AUTO position and
the low beam headlights are on automatically.
2. The turn signal lever is pushed forward.
When the high beam assist
function is activated, the indicator
(green) on the combination meter
will illuminate.

Use the hazard warning flasher when you have to park
in emergency conditions.

Turn the dial to adjust the illumination brightness of the
instrument panel.
When the control dial is turned fully upward to
position, the illumination brightness becomes the
maximum and the automatic dimming function does not
work at all.

Defroster button:
Press the button to defrost the windshield.

Rear window defogger button:
Press the button to turn on rear window defogger,
outside mirror defogger and windshield wiper deicer
(if equipped). The function will automatically shut off
after approximately 15 minutes.

Located on the edge of each rear door.
When the lever is in the LOCK position, the rear door
cannot be opened from the inside. Deactivate the Hill Holder function when:
• Towing a trailer
• Carrying a heavy load
• When you do not frequently stop your vehicle on an
uphill slope using the parking brake.
