Using automatic air conditioning system
Press .

The air conditioning system beg ins to operate. Air outlets and
fan speed are automatically adjus ted according to the temper-
ature setting.
*: When is pressed, the current temperature setting display
( ) will be automatically selected.
Turn to the clockwise to raise the temperature, or
counterclockwise to lower.

■ Basic setting
Adjusting the fan speed
Slide to the right to select the fan speed display
().
Turn to the clockwise to increase the fan speed, or
counterclockwise to decrease.
The fan speed can be adjusted in 7 stages.
To switch the air conditioning (cooler/dehumidifier functions) ON or
OFF, press . (ON and OFF are switched between each time
the button is pressed.)
To stop the air flow, press .

Adjusting the temperature setting
Slide to the left or right to select the temperature set-
ting display ( ).
Turn to the clockwise to raise the temperature, or
counterclockwise to lower.
Changing the air outlets
Slide to the left to select the air outlet display
().
Turn clockwise or counterclockwise.
The air flow shown on the display indicates the following:
Air flows to the upper body.

■Switching between outside air and recirculated air modes
Press .
The mode switches between recirculated air mode and outside air mode
each time the button is pressed.
The indicator on turn on when the recirculated air mode is
selected.
Defogging the windshield
Press .
The air conditioning system oper-
ates automatically.
Recirculated air mode will auto-
matically switch to outside air
mode. It is not possible to return
to recirculated air mode when the
switch is on.
Once the fog has been removed,
pressing again will return
to the previous mode.

Operates micro dust and pollen
filter on/off.
Outside air mode switches to
recirculated air mode. Pollen is
removed from the air and the air
flows to the upper part of the
body.
Usually the system will turn off
automatically after approximately
3 minutes.

■Using automatic mode
Fan speed is adjusted automatically according to the temperature setting
and ambient conditions. As a result, the following may occur:
● Immediately after is pressed, the fan may stop for a while until
warm or cool air is ready to flow.
● Cool air may flow to the area around the upper body when the heater is
on.
■ After pressing
The selection frame will automatically move to the fan speed display.
■ Switching between outside air and recirculated air modes
Recirculated air mode or outside air mode may be automatically switched to
in accordance with the temperature setting and the inside temperature.
Also, outside air mode may be automatically switched to when the outside
temperature is low.
■ When the outside temperature exceeds 75
F (24C) and the air condi-
tioning system is on
● In order to reduce the air conditioning power consumption, the air condi-
tioning system may switch to recirculated air mode automatically. This
may also reduce fuel consumption.
● Recirculated air mode is selected as a default mode when the “POWER”
switch is turned to ON mode.
● It is possible to switch to outside air mode at any time by pressing
.
■ Using the system in recirculated air mode
The windows will fog up more easily if recirculated air mode is used.
