Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal, note the
following:

CAUTION!

Install the drive gear carefully onto the
differential, without canting. Do not use force,
the drive gear can break easily.
Installation position:

The drive peg of the drive gear -A- faces seal -B- and locates in the
groove of the differential.
Retaining clips (arrows) locate in circumferential groove in differential.
Tightening torques - Always replace seal -B- and circlip -C- Page 39

- Install drive flange using VW295 needle bearing drift.
- Top off and check transmission oil level Page 34
