oil.Theoilconsumptionvariesdepending
ontheengineandmaychangeduring the
servicelifeoftheengine.Enginesgenerally
consumemoreoilatthe beginningduring

stabilizes afterthebreak-inperiod.
—Undernormalconditions,oilconsumption
dependsonthequalityandviscosityofthe
oil,theengineRPM,theclimateconditions,

theageoftheoilalso playarole.Because

lyundercertaincircumstances.Havetheoil
changedmorefrequentlyifyouoftendriveshort
distances,yourvehicleispredominantlyinstop-
and-gotrafficsituations,isinverydustyenviron-
ments,orisoperatedforlongperiodsoftimein
temperaturesbelowzero.
Cleansingadditivesintheoilmakefreshoilap-
peardarkeraftertheenginehasrunbriefly.This
isnormalandnoreasontochangetheengineoil
