ment system fun ctions, such as entering a desti
nation, only when the vehicle is stationary . Al
ways be prepared to stop operating the Infotain ment system in the interest of your safety and

Multi Media Inte rface
Introduction
The Multi Media Interface, or MMI for short,
combines various sys tems for communication,
navigation* and en tertainment in your Audi. You
can operate the
MMI using the MM I control pan
el, the multifunction steering wheel or the voice
recognition system* .

Introduction

In the driver information system display, you can
control numerous Infotainment functions using
the multifunction steering wheel plus*
¢ page 12 or the mult ifunct ion steer ing wheel*

You can control additional Infotainment func
tions using the
MMI control panel¢ page 147 in
the Infota inment system display.

Multifunction steering wheel
Directory contacts *: the driver inform ation sys
tem on ly disp lays directory contacts that have a
phone num ber stored . If several phone numbers
are stored with a contact, the list o f stored n um
bers is displayed first when the entry is selected .
Recent calls*: the recent calls list contains all in
com ing, outgoing a nd missed ca lls.
Caller information* : the name , phone number or

been stored in t he d irecto ry and if the p hone
numbe r has been transmitted.
Functions during an incoming call
-Accepting a call : press the left th umbwheel

-Ending a phone call : se lect and confirm End
call.
Functions during a phone call :

The route calculated by the nav igation system
is a recommendation for reaching your desti
nation. Obey traffic lights, stopp ing restric
tions, one-way streets, lane change restric
tions, etc .
