Thepredictivecontrolusesthemapinforma-
tionfromthenavigationsysteminordertoreact
proactivelywhendriving.Informationfromthe
camera-basedtrafficsignrecognition*isalsoap-
pliedtorecognizetrafficsigns>page95.When
cominguptoareaswithspeedlimitsorchanges
inthe courseoftheroad(suchascurves,inter-
sectionsortrafficcircles),thesystembrakesau-
tomaticallyandthenacceleratesbackuptothe
setspeed.
Overridingcontrol
Thedrivercanoverridethepredictivecontrolat
anytimebypressingtheacceleratororbrake
pedal.Ifthesystemchangesthevehiclespeedto
adapttospeedlimits,youcanchangethespeed
usingthelever>page105,fig.106.
Alwaysswitchoffthepredictivecontrolin
thefollowingsituations:
—Whenincreasedattentionisneededfromthe
driver
—Inpoorweatherconditionssuchassnowor
