alignthejack.Otherwise,thevehiclejack
couldslipandcauseaninjuryifitdoesnot
have
sufficientholdonthevehicle.
—Vehicleswithairsuspension”:changesin
temperatureorloadcanaffectthe heightof
thestoppedvehicle.
—To reducetheriskofanaccident,neverstart
theenginewhenthevehicleisraised.
—Toreducetheriskofinjury,supportthevehi-
clesecurelywithsuitablestandsifworkisto
beperformedunderneaththevehicle.

chassisframe,arubberpadmustbein-
sertedbetweenthefloorjackandthelift
points.
—Beforedrivingoveraworkshophoist,
checkthatthevehicleweightdoesnot
exceedthepermissibleliftingcapacity of
thehoist.
—Beforedrivingoveraworkshophoist,en-
surethatthereissufficientclearancebe-
tweenthehoistandlowpartsoftheve-
hicle.
