The  coolant  level  should  be  at or above  the “FULL 
HOT” mark. 
If  it  isn’t,  you  may  have  a  leak  in  the  radiator  hoses, 
heater  hoses,  radiator,  water  pump  or somewhere

leave  the  radiator  pressure  cap off.
