DIC Vehicle
Customization
Your vehicle may have
customization capabilities that allow
you to program certain features
to one preferred setting.
Customization features can only be
programmed to one setting on
the vehicle and cannot be
programmed to a preferred setting
for two different drivers.
All of the customization options may
not be available on your vehicle.
Only the options available will
be displayed on the DIC.
The default settings for the
customization features were set
when your vehicle left the factory,
but may have been changed
from their default state since then.
The customization preferences
are automatically recalled.To change customization
preferences, use the following
procedure.Entering the Feature
Settings Menu
1. Turn the ignition on and place
the vehicle in P (Park).
To avoid excessive drain on the
battery, it is recommended that
the headlamps are turned off.
2. Press the customization button to
enter the feature settings menu.
If the menu is not available,
FEATURE SETTINGS
AVAILABLE IN PARK will
display. Before entering the
menu, make sure the vehicle is
in P (Park).
Feature Settings Menu Items
The following are customization
features that allow you to program
settings to the vehicle:
DISPLAY IN ENGLISH
This feature will only display if a
language other than English has
been set. This feature allows you to
change the language in which the
DIC messages appear to English.
Press the customization button until
the PRESS
VTO DISPLAY IN
ENGLISH screen appears on the
DIC display. Press the set/reset
button once to display all DIC
messages in English.
DISPLAY LANGUAGE
This feature allows you to select the
language in which the DIC
messages will appear.
Press the customization button until
the DISPLAY LANGUAGE screen
appears on the DIC display.
Press the set/reset button once to
access the settings for this feature.

“No Aux Input Device” displays. If a
disc is in both the DVD slot and
the CD slot the DVD/CD AUX button
cycles between the two sources
and does not indicate “No Aux Input
Device”. If a front auxiliary device
is connected, the DVD/CD AUX
button cycles through all available
options, such as: DVD slot, CD slot,
Front Auxiliary, and Rear Auxiliary
(if available). See “Using the
Auxiliary Input Jack(s)” later in this
section, or “Audio/Video (A/V)
Jacks” under,Rear Seat
Entertainment (RSE) System on
page 3-102for more information.
If a MP3/WMA is inserted into
top DVD slot, the rear seat operator
can turn on the video screen and
use the remote control to navigate
the CD (tracks only).XM Radio Messages
XL (Explicit Language
Channels):These channels, or
any others, can be blocked at
a customer’s request, by calling
1-800-852-XMXM (9696).
XM Updating:The encryption code
in the receiver is being updated,
and no action is required. This
process should take no longer than
30 seconds.
No XM Signal:The system is
functioning correctly, but the vehicle
is in a location that is blocking
the XM™ signal. When the vehicle
is moved into an open area, the
signal should return.
Loading XM:The audio system is
acquiring and processing audio
and text data. No action is needed.
This message should disappear
shortly.
Channel Off Air:This channel
is not currently in service. Tune in to
another channel.Channel Unauth:This channel is
blocked or cannot be received
with your XM Subscription package.
Channel Unavail:This previously
assigned channel is no longer
assigned. Tune to another station. If
this station was one of the presets,
choose another station for that
preset button.
No Artist Info:No artist information
is available at this time on this
channel. The system is working
properly.
No Title Info:No song title
information is available at this time
on this channel. The system is
working properly.
No CAT Info:No category
information is available at this time
on this channel. The system is
working properly.
No Information:No text or
informational messages are
available at this time on this
channel. The system is working
properly.
