Driver Shift Control is a manual mode that allows the driver to manually select the range of gear positions. It can be used to drive in a sportier manner or to downshift when driving on a downhill grade to provide engine braking.
1. Move the shift lever to the Manual (M) position.
2. Press the + (plus) or – (minus) button on the shift lever to upshift or downshift. The current gear will be displayed on the Driver Information Center.
If vehicle speed is too high or too low for the requested gear, the shift will not occur.
See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual.

Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Read your Owner’s Manual for important feature limitations and information.
Lane Departure WarningF
The Lane Departure Warning Indicator on the instrument cluster is green when a lane marking is detected. If a detected lane marking is crossed without using a turn signal in that direction, the system flashes an amber indicator and 3 beeps sound on the side of the departure direction.
To turn on or off, press the Lane Departure Warning button (A) on the center of the instrument panel.
Forward Collision AlertF
The Vehicle Ahead Indicator is green on the instrument cluster when a vehicle is detected and is amber when following a vehicle ahead much too closely. When approaching a vehi-cle directly ahead too rapidly, a red alert flashes on the windshield and rapid beeps sound.
Press the Collision Alert button on the steering wheel to select a following gap set-ting of Far, Medium, Near, or Off.
Side Blind Zone AlertF
While driving, the system displays a warning symbol on the left or right side mirror when a vehicle is detected in that side blind zone area. The warning symbol flashes if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle has been detected on the same side.
To turn on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Side Blind Zone Alert.
Traction Control and StabiliTrak® Systems
The traction control system limits wheelspin and the StabiliTrak stability control system assists with directional control of the vehicle in difficult driving conditions. Both systems turn on auto-matically every time the vehicle is started.
Traction control should be turned off if the vehicle is stuck.
Press the Traction Control/StabiliTrak button on the center of the instrument panel to turn traction control off or on again. The Traction Control Off light will illuminate in the instrument cluster when traction control is off.
Front and Rear Park AssistF
During low-speed parking maneuvers, detected objects are indicated by audible beeps. The interval between beeps becomes shorter as the vehicle gets closer to an object. When the distance is less than 12 in. (30 cm), the beeps are continuous. The system operates only at speeds less than 5 mph.
To turn on or off, press the Park Assist button (B) on the center of the instrument panel.
