Damage Due to Contaminated or
Poor Quality Fuel
Poor fuel quality or incorrect fuel
may cause driveability problems
such as hesitation, lack of power,
stall, or no start. It may also render

functionality for components such
as spark plugs, oxygen sensors,

from poor fuel quality, water
contamination, incorrect diesel fuel
or gasoline may not be covered.
It is recommended that gasoline
meet specifications which were
developed by automobile
manufacturers around the world
and contained in the World-Wide
Fuel Charter which is available
from the Alliance of Automobile
Manufacturers at
www.autoalliance.org/
fuel_charter.htm. Gasoline meeting
these specifications could provide
improved driveability and emission
control system performance
compared to other gasoline. Please refer to your Owner Manual
under
“Fuel” , for additional
recommendations, including the use
of TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline.
