SERVICE IDLE CONTROL – 107:A problem with the
idle control has occurred when this message displays.
Have your vehicle serviced by your dealership.
SERVICE STABILITY SYS – 54:If you ever see the
SERVICE STABILITY SYS message, it means
there may be a problem with your stability enhancement
system. If you see this message, try to reset the
system (stop, turn off the engine, then start the engine
again). If the SERVICE STABILITY SYS message
still comes on, it means there is a problem. You should
see your dealer for service. Reduce your speed and
drive accordingly. A single chime will also sound when
this message is displayed.
SERVICE STEERING – 127:This message is displayed
when a problem has been detected in the magnetic
speed variable assist steering system. If this message
comes on, service is required.
SERVICE SUSPENSION SYS – 84:This message is
displayed to indicate that the suspension system is
not operating properly. To correct this problem, have
your vehicle serviced at your dealership.SERVICE THEFT SYSTEM – 34:This message means
there is a problem with the PASS-Key®III system. A
fault has been detected in the system which means that
the system is disabled and is not protecting the
vehicle. The vehicle usually restarts, however, you may
want to take your vehicle to your dealer before turning
off the engine.
SERVICE TPM SYSTEM – 51:When this message is
displayed, the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system
is not working properly. See your dealer for service.
SERVICE TRANSMISSION – 100:See your dealer for
repair.
SERVICE VEHICLE SOON – 3:This message is
displayed when a non-emissions related powertrain
malfunction occurs. Have your vehicle serviced by
a technician as soon as possible.
SPEED LIMIT TO 90 – 113:A failure in the suspension
control system has occurred when this message
appears. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
determines the speed to which your vehicle is limited.
Have your vehicle serviced if this message appears.

Maintenance Footnotes
†The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the
California Air Resources Board has determined that the
failure to perform this maintenance item will not nullify
the emission warranty or limit recall liability prior to
the completion of the vehicle’s useful life. We, however,
urge that all recommended maintenance services be
performed at the indicated intervals and the
maintenance be recorded.
(a)Visually inspect brake lines and hoses for proper
hook-up, binding, leaks, cracks, chang, etc. Inspect
disc brake pads for wear and rotors for surface
condition. Inspect other brake parts, including calipers,
parking brake, etc.
(b)Visually inspect front and rear suspension and
steering system for damaged, loose or missing parts or
signs of wear. Inspect power steering lines and
hoses for proper hook-up, binding, leaks, cracks,
chang, etc.
(c)Visually inspect hoses and have them replaced if they
are cracked, swollen or deteriorated. Inspect all pipes,
ttings and clamps; replace with genuine GM parts as
needed. To help ensure proper operation, a pressure test
of the cooling system and pressure cap and cleaning the
outside of the radiator and air conditioning condenser is
recommended at least once a year.(d)Visually inspect wiper blades for wear or cracking.
Replace blade inserts that appear worn or damaged
or that streak or miss areas of the windshield.
(e)Make sure the safety belt reminder light and all your
belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors and anchorages
are working properly. Look for any other loose or
damaged safety belt system parts. If you see anything
that might keep a safety belt system from doing its
job, have it repaired. Have any torn or frayed safety belts
replaced. Also look for any opened or broken air bag
coverings, and have them repaired or replaced. (The air
bag system does not need regular maintenance.)
(f)Lubricate all key lock cylinders. Lubricate all hinges
and latches, including those for the hood, rear
compartment, glove box door and console door. More
frequent lubrication may be required when exposed to a
corrosive environment. Applying silicone grease on
weatherstrips with a clean cloth will make them
last longer, seal better and not stick or squeak.
(g)If you drive regularly under dusty conditions, the
lter may require replacement more often.
