This section provides a brief
overview about some of the
important features that may or may
not be on your specific vehicle.

Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) System
The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
transmitter may work up to 60 m
(195 ft) away from the vehicle.
RKE Transmitter with Remote
Start Shown
Press the key release button to
extend the key blade. The key can
be used for the ignition and all
locks.
Press
Kto unlock the driver door or
all doors.
Press
Qto lock all doors.
Lock and unlock feedback can be
personalized. See Vehicle
Personalization on page 5‑32.

Safety Locks
The rear door safety locks prevent
passengers from opening the rear
doors from inside the vehicle.
Presso{to activate the safety
locks. The indicator light comes on
when activated.
The rear door power windows are
also disabled. See Power Windows
on page 2‑18.
Press
o {again to deactivate the
safety locks and power windows. If the indicator light flashes, the
feature may not be working properly.

Seat Adjustment
Manual Front Seats
To adjust a manual seat:
1. Pull the handle at the front of
the seat.
2. Slide the seat to the desired position and release the handle. 3. Try to move the seat back and
forth to be sure it is locked in
place.
Seat Height Adjuster
If available, move the lever up or
down to manually raise or lower
the seat.

Heated Seats
If available, the controls are on the
center stack. The engine must be
running to operate the heated seats.
Press
LorMto heat the driver or
passenger seat cushion and
seatback.
Press the control once for the
highest setting. With each press of
the control, the heated seat will
change to the next lower setting, and then the off setting. Three lights
indicate the highest setting and one
light the lowest.

Head Restraint
Adjustment
Do not drive until the head restraints
for all occupants are installed and
adjusted properly.
To achieve a comfortable seating
position, change the seatback
recline angle as little as necessary
while keeping the seat and the head
restraint height in the proper
position.

Passenger Sensing
System
United States
Canada
The passenger sensing system
turns off the front outboard
passenger frontal airbag and knee
airbag under certain conditions. No
other airbag is affected by the
passenger sensing system. See
Passenger Sensing System on
page 3‑24 for important information. The passenger airbag status
indicator will be visible on the
instrument panel when the vehicle is
started. See
Passenger Airbag

Mirror Adjustment
Exterior
Controls for the outside power
mirrors are on the driver door.
1. Turn the selector switch to L (Left) or R (Right) to choose the
driver or passenger mirror. 2. Move the control to adjust the
mirror.
3. Turn the selector switch to the O position to deselect the mirror.

If the vehicle has heated mirrors,

Interior Mirror
Adjustment
Adjust the rearview mirror to view
the area behind the vehicle.
Manual Rearview Mirror
If equipped with a manual rearview
mirror, push the tab forward for
daytime use and pull it for nighttime
use to avoid glare from the
headlamps from behind. See
Manual Rearview Mirror on
page 2‑17.
Automatic Dimming Rearview
Mirror
If equipped with an automatic
dimming rearview mirror, the mirror
will automatically reduce the glare of
headlamps from behind. The
dimming feature and indicator light
come on each time the vehicle is
started. SeeAutomatic Dimming
Rearview Mirror on page 2‑17.
Steering Wheel
Adjustment
To adjust the steering wheel:
1. Pull the lever down.
2. Move the steering wheel up
or down.
3. Pull or push the steering wheel closer or away from you.
4. Push the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place.
Do not adjust the steering wheel
while driving.
Interior Lighting
Dome Lamps
The dome lamp controls are located
in the headliner.
*: Press to turn the lamps off,
even when a door is open.
I: Press to turn the lamps on
automatically when a door is
opened.
+: Press to turn on the dome
lamps.
