Seats and Seat Controls
This section tells you about the seats-how to adjust them, and fold them up
and down.
Front Seats
You can lose control of the vehicle if you try to adjust a manual
1 driver’s seat while the vehicle is moving. The sudden moveme\

could startle and confuse you, or make you push
a pedal when you
don’t want
to. Adjust the driver’s seat only when the vehicle is not

Manual Front‘ Seat

Move the lever under the front of the seat toward your door to unlock it.
Slide the seat
to where you want it. Then release the lever and try to move
the seat with your body, to make sure the seat is locked int\
o place.

Manual Lumbar Adjustment

If you have this feature, there will be a knob with six settings\
on the outside
of the driver and passenger bucket seats.
Turn the knob counter-clockwise
to increase lumbar support and clockwise to
decrease lumbar support.
Fronf Seafback Latches
The front seatback folds forward to let people get into the b\
ack seat or reach the storage area behind the seat. Your seatback will move back and forth
freely, unless you come
to a sudden stop. Then it will lock in place.

When you tilt the right front seatback fully forward, the whole seat wi\
ll
slide forward.
After someone gets into the rear seat area, move the right fr\
ont
seatback to its original position. Then move the seat rearward until it
locks.
1 CAUTION
, If an easy entry right front seat isn't locked, it can move. In a I
sudden stop or crash, the person sitting there could be injure\
d. After
you've used it, be sure to push rearward on an easy entry seat to
be sure it is locked.
To get out, again tilt the seatback fully forward.
Jump Seat (Extended Cab Models)

Your extended cab pickup may have jump seats in the rear area. To fold the
jump seat down, pull down on the handle on the bottom of the\
seat until the
seat is in place.
To store the seat, push it up until it is flush with the trim
panels. Don't let the safety belts be damaged by the hinges o\
r the latches.

front and rear GAWRs. If you do, parts on your vehicle
can break, or it can change the way yolur vehicle hand;les. These

you to lose eonltrol. Also, overloading can shorten the

of your vehicle.
Using heavier suspension components
to get added durability might not
change your weight ratings. Ask your dealer
to help you load your vehicle the
right way.

II you put things inside your vehicle-like suitcases, tools, packages, or
anything else-they
will go as fast as the vehicle goes. If you have to stop
or turn quickly, or if there is a crash, they’ll keep going.

weight evenly.
Never stack heavier things, like suitcases, inside the vehicle so
that some of them are above the tops of the seats.

Don’t leave a seat folded down unless you need to.
Payload
The Payload Capacity is shown on the Certificationnire label. This is the
maximum load capacity that your vehicle can carry. Be sure to include the
weight of the people inside as part of your load.
If you added any
accessories or equipment after your vehicle
left the factory, remember to
subtract the weight of these things from the payload. Your dealer can help
you with this.
