3/60 BASIC WARRANTY
If required because of a defect in material or workmanship, the 3/60 basic warranty will cover the adjustment, repair or replacement ofany factory-installed part of your vehicle except tires for 3 years or
60,000 kilometres , whichever occurs first. The following items are
exceptions; they are only covered (if defective) for 1 year or 20,000
kilometres , whichever occurs first:
¥ light bulbs and fuses
¥ wiper blades
¥ clutch discs
¥ brakes (rotors, pads, linings and drums)
¥ windshield and rear window
¥ wheel alignment and wheel balancing Tires are warranted by the tire manufacturers, not byDaimlerChrysler. For details, see the tire manufacturerÕs warrantybooklet in your glove box. Your DaimlerChrysler dealer may be ableto assist you if you experience a problem with a factory-installed tire.

The warranties in this booklet do not cover repairs required due to fire, accidents, abuse, negligence, objects striking your vehicle,carrying corrosive materials (such as chemicals, acids andfertilizers), misuse (such as driving over curbs, overloading,spinning wheels, etc.), racing or participating in a racing event,improper disconnection of components, modifying the exhaustsystem, tampering or making adjustments which do not complywith DaimlerChrysler specifications.
Disconnecting, tampering with or changing the reading of the
odometer will void your warranties. D AMAGE FROMTHEENVIRONMENT
The warranties in this booklet do not cover fading or deterioration caused by exposure to the elements, or repairs required due toairborne fallout, acid rain, chemicals, tree sap, insects, bird or insectdroppings, salt, sand, gravel, road hazards, hail, windstorms,lightning, floods or any other event of nature. Road salt, car washes, scuffs and scratches, and everyday
abrasion from sand and dirt can affect the appearance of a vehicleÕs wheels (steel, chrome and aluminum) and other undercarriageparts. Some surface corrosion with use is normal; it is not a defectand is not covered by any warranty. N ORMAL MAINTENANCE ANDWEAR
The warranties in this booklet do not cover normal maintenance services, such as oil and filter changes, generallubrication, tire rotation, engine tune-ups and replacing sparkplugs. Required maintenance services are described in detail inyour OwnerÕs Manual and herein. The warranties also do notcover light bulbs and fuses, worn wiper blades, clutch discs, brakerotors, pads, linings or drums, windshield and rear window,wheel alignment and wheel balancing (unless they are defective,
see page 7).

MAINTENANCE Scheduled maintenance must be completed to provide the best vehicle
performance and reliability . The limited warranties in the warranty booklet DO NOT COVER repairs
required due to improper maintenance. W e strongly suggest you keep track of scheduled maintenance and
keep receipts or other documents. Use only recommended Mopar lubricants and genuine Mopar parts.
NOTE: WHERE TIME (MONTHS) AND METRAGE ARE INDICA TED, FOLLOW THE INTERVAL
THA T OCCURS FIRST .
AT EACH STOP FOR FUEL
¥ Check the engine oil level about 5 minutes after
a fully warmed engine is shut off. Checking the oil level while the vehicle is on level ground willimprove the accuracy of the oil level reading.
Add oil only when the level is at or below the
ADD or MIN mark.
¥ Check the windshield washer solvent and add if required.
ONCE A MONTH
¥ Check the tire pressure and look for unusualwear or damage.
¥ Inspect the battery and clean and tighten theterminals as required.
¥ Check the fluid levels of coolant reservoir , brake
master cylinder , power steering and transmission
and add as needed.
¥ Check all the lights and all other electrical itemsfor correct operation.
¥ Check rubber seals on each side of the radiatorfor proper fit (all except Pacifica ).
¥ Check and clean wiper blades. Replace if required.

There are two maintenance schedules contained in your OwnerÕ s Manual. Schedule
ÒBÓ best describes operating conditions inCanada and is the recommended serviceschedule. For your convenience, the scheduledmaintenance intervals outlined in this bookletfollow the Severe Service Schedule as describedin your OwnerÕ s Manual. Schedule ÒBÓ is for
vehicles that are operated under one or more ofthe following conditions: day or night tempera -
tures are below 0 ¡C; stop and go driving;
extensive engine idling; driving in dustyconditions; short trips of less than 16.2 km; more than 50% of your driving is at sustainedhigh speeds during hot weather
, above 32¡C;
trailer towing; taxi, police, or delivery service(commercial service); off-road or desert driving;if equipped for and operating with E-85(ethanol) fuel. Schedule ÒAÓ is for vehicles thatare not operated under any of the conditionslisted under Schedule ÒB.Ó
The performance of all scheduled servicework is required to maintain your vehicle ingood operating condition. DaimlerChryslerCanada Inc. reserves the right to denywarranty coverage if the vehicle has not beenproperly maintained. While we do not insistthat such work be performed by factory-authorized dealers, we strongly recommendthat an authorized Chrysler , Jeep
