QUICK HELP

BATTERY
Before disconnecting the battery, you
must wait for 2 minutes after switching
off the ignition.
Never disconnect a terminal when the
engine is running.
N e v e r c h a r g e a b a t t e r y w i t h o u t fi r s t
disconnecting the terminals.
After every reconnection of the battery,
switch on the ignition and wait 1 minute
before starting to allow the electronic
systems to be initialised. If slight
d i f fi c u l t i e s a r e e x p e r i e n c e d a f t e r t h i s ,
p l e a s e c o n t a c t a C I T R O Ë N d e a l e r .
After changing bulbs, wait
a p p r o x i m a t e l y 3 m i n u t e s b e f o r e
reconnecting the battery. It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is not to be used
f o r a p e r i o d o f m o r e t h a n o n e m o n t h .
To charge the battery using a
battery charger
- Disconnect the battery,
- Follow the instructions for use
given by the battery charger
manufacturer,
- R e c o n n e c t s t a r t i n g w i t h t h e negative (-) terminal,
- C h e c k t h a t t h e t e r m i n a l s a n d connectors are clean. If they are
c o v e r e d w i t h s u l p h a t e ( w h i t e o r
g r e e n i s h d e p o s i t ) , d i s c o n n e c t t h e m
and clean them.
To start the vehicle from
another battery
- C o n n e c t t h e r e d c a b l e t o t h e p o s i t i v e ( + ) t e r m i n a l s o f t h e
two batteries,
- C o n n e c t o n e e n d o f t h e g r e e n o r b l a c k c a b l e t o t h e n e g a t i v e ( - )
terminal of the slave battery,
- C o n n e c t t h e o t h e r e n d o f t h e g r e e n o r b l a c k c a b l e t o a n e a r t h p o i n t o n
t h e b r o k e n d o w n v e h i c l e a s f a r a s
p o s s i b l e f r o m t h e b a t t e r y ,
- O p e r a t e t h e s t a r t e r , l e t t h e e n g i n e run,
- Wait for the engine to return to idle, then disconnect the cables. A f t e r t h e e n g i n e h a s s t o p p e d , w i t h
t h e k e y i n t h e i g n i t i o n p o s i t i o n , c e r t a i n
f u n c t i o n s ( w i n d s c r e e n w i p e r , e l e c t r i c
windows, courtesy lights, audio
e q u i p m e n t , e t c . ) c a n o n l y b e u s e d f o r a
cumulative duration of thirty minutes, to
p r e v e n t d i s c h a r g i n g o f t h e b a t t e r y .
O n c e t h e t h i r t y m i n u t e s a r e o v e r , t h e
a c t i v e f u n c t i o n s a r e p u t o n s t a n d b y
a n d t h e b a t t e r y w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s
a c c o m p a n i e d b y a m e s s a g e o n t h e
d i s p l a y .
T o r e s u m e t h e u s e o f t h e s e f u n c t i o n s
immediately, start the engine and let it
run for a few minutes.
T h e t i m e a v a i l a b l e w i l l t h e n b e d o u b l e
the time for which the engine was left
running. However, this time will always
b e b e t w e e n fi v e a n d t h i r t y m i n u t e s .
A fl a t b a t t e r y w i l l p r e v e n t t h e e n g i n e
from starting.

1. PARKING THE VEHICLE

and wait in a safe location.
- I f p o s s i b l e , p a r k t h e v e h i c l e o n l e v e l , s t a b l e a n d n o n - s l i p p e r y
ground.
- A p p l y t h e h a n d b r a k e , s w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n a n d e n g a g e fi r s t o r r e v e r s e
gear. - I f a v a i l a b l e , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r
t h e w h e e l d i a g o n a l l y o p p o s i t e t h e
one to be changed.
I f t h e v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a t o w b a r ;
it is sometimes necessary to raise
t h e v e h i c l e s l i g h t l y t o m a k e i t e a s i e r
t o r e m o v e t h e s p a r e w h e e l f r o m i t s
carrier.

- O p e n t h e l i d o f t h e s t o r a g e c o m p a r t m e n t l o c a t e d u n d e r t h e
seat on the right-hand side. If
necessary, move the seat forward
t o a c c e s s t h e s t o r a g e c o m p a r t m e n t
from the rear.
- U n s c r e w t h e n u t t h e n t a k e o u t t h e j a c k a n d t h e w h e e l b r a c e .
1. Wheelbrace.
2. J a c k .
3. Alloy wheel embellisher remover.
4. C h o c k .

3. SPARE WHEEL - D e t a c h t h e c a r r i e r f r o m t h e h o o k a n d p l a c e t h e s p a r e w h e e l n e a r t h e
wheel to be changed.
- Unscrew the bolt using the
wheelbrace until the carrier is
lowered fully.
- O p e n t h e r e a r d o o r s t o g a i n a c c e s s
t o t h e s p a r e w h e e l .

4. OPERATING PROCEDURE - P l a c e t h e j a c k i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e l o c a t i n g p o i n t p r o v i d e d , t h e o n e
which is closest to the wheel to
b e c h a n g e d . E n s u r e t h a t t h e j a c k
is straight and that the base of
t h e j a c k i s f u l l y i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e
ground.
- E x t e n d t h e j a c k t o l i f t t h e w h e e l clear of the ground.
- R e s u m e a n d c o m p l e t e t h e unscrewing of the wheel bolts.
- R e m o v e t h e b o l t s a n d r e m o v e t h e wheel.
D o n o t e x t e n d t h e j a c k u n t i l y o u h a v e
started unscrewing the bolts on the
w h e e l t o b e c h a n g e d a n d h a v e p l a c e d
t h e c h o c k u n d e r t h e w h e e l d i a g o n a l l y
o p p o s i t e .
- R e m o v e t h e t r i m p u l l i n g i t u s i n g t h e
embellisher remover.
- Loosen the wheel bolts and start unscrewing them. Anti-theft bolts
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h w h e e l s w i t h
alloy rims:
- Each wheel has an anti-theft bolt.
- T h e s e b o l t s c a n b e l o o s e n e d u s i n g
y o u r a n t i - t h e f t s o c k e t ( g i v e n t o y o u
in delivery of your vehicle) and the
wheelbrace.

- L o w e r t h e v e h i c l e c o m p l e t e l y b y f o l d i n g t h e j a c k , t h e n r e m o v e t h e
j a c k .
- T i g h t e n t h e b o l t s a g a i n u s i n g t h e wheelbrace, tighten them fully
without forcing them.
- P l a c e t h e w h e e l t o b e r e p a i r e d i n the carrier. - S e c u r e t h e c a r r i e r o n t h e h o o k t h e n
raise the carrier using the bolt and
the wheelbrace.
Never go underneath a vehicle that
i s s u p p o r t e d o n l y b y a j a c k ( u s e
a r a m p ) . N e v e r u s e a s c r e w d r i v e r
i n p l a c e o f t h e w h e e l b r a c e .
5. FITTING THE SPARE WHEEL
- Position the wheel on the hub and
start tightening the bolts by hand.
- C a r r y o u t a n i n i t i a l t i g h t e n i n g o f t h e bolts using the wheelbrace.

REMOVABLE SNOW SCREEN
According to country, the removable
snow screen is installed on the lower
p a r t o f t h e f r o n t b u m p e r t o p r e v e n t t h e
accumulation of snow at the radiator
cooling fan.
Do not forget to remove the snow
s c r e e n w h e n t h e e x t e r i o r t e m p e r a t u r e
i s h i g h e r t h a n 1 0 ° C ( n o r i s k o f
snowfall) and when towing.

- Pass a screwdriver into the hole

Type C
Halogen bulb: release the
r e t a i n i n g s p r i n g f r o m i t s
housing.
Halogen bulbs must be changed
w i t h t h e h e a d l a m p o f f . W a i t a f e w
m i n u t e s ( r i s k o f s e r i o u s b u r n s ) .
Do not touch the bulb directly with your
fi n g e r s , u s e l i n t - f r e e c l o t h s .
It is normal for condensation to form
i n s i d e t h e h e a d l a m p s . R e g u l a r u s e o f
the vehicle eliminates this misting. T h e b u l b s m u s t b e c h a n g e d w i t h
the ignition off or with the battery
d i s c o n n e c t e d . W a i t a p p r o x i m a t e l y
3 m i n u t e s a f t e r c h a n g i n g t h e b u l b
before reconnecting the battery.

grooves on the light.

- U n c l i p t h e l e n s b y s l i d i n g a screwdriver in the slots on each
side of the courtesy light.
- Pull the bulb and change it.
- C l i p t h e l e n s i n i t s h o u s i n g a n d ensure that it is secured correctly.
