Rotate the ring forwards to switch on
and backwards to switch off. The status
i s c o n fi r m e d b y t h e i n d i c a t o r l i g h t o n t h e
instrument panel.
"Follow-me-home" lighting
In poor light, or at night, if you leave
your vehicle, the side lights and
dipped headlamps may remain on for
approximately one minute.
To activate this function:
- place the key in the
STOP position,
- place the lights stalk in position 0 ,
- fl a s h t h e h e a d l a m p s ,
- exit the vehicle and lock it.
In good or rainy weather,
both day and night, the front
fog lamps and the rear fog
lamp are dazzling and are
prohibited.
Do not forget to switch them off when
they are no longer needed. Left:
downwards.
Right: upwards.

To install it:
- position the front ends of the load space cover on its support and press gently to put it in place,
- unfold the load space cover fully,
- position the rear ends of the load space cover on its support and press gently to put it in place.
To remove it:
- unclip the rear ends,
- fold the load space cover fully,
- unclip the front ends and remove the load space cover.
To store it, fold it like an accordion. Do not roll it .

The high load retaining net can be fi t t e d b e h i n d t h e f r o n t o r r e a r s e a t s .
Open the covers A of the corresponding Aupper fastenings.
Fit the ends of the metal bar in these fastenings.
Secure the two net strap hooks be-hind the front seats, with the rear seat folded, or in the stowing rings B o n t h e fl o o r .
The rings are located directly below the corresponding upper fastenings.
Pull the two straps C taut.

FRONT AIR BAGS
These are folded in the centre of the
steering wheel for the driver and in
the fascia for the front passenger.
They are deployed simultaneously,
except in cases where the passen-
ger air bag is disarmed, in the event
of a serious front impact applied in
the impact zone A in the longitudinal
centreline of the vehicle, on a hori-
zontal plane and from the front of the
vehicle towards the rear. The air bag
i n fl a t e s b e t w e e n t h e f r o n t o c c u p a n t o f
the vehicle and the fascia to cushion
his forward movement. The air bags
therefore limit the risk of injury to the
head and chest.
The air bags have been designed to
maximise the safety of the occupants
in the event of serious collisions.
They work in conjunction with the
force-limi-ting seat belts. The elec-
tronic detectors register and analyse
any abrupt deceleration of the vehi-
cle in the impact detection zones (see
diagram): if the triggering threshold is
r e a c h e d , t h e a i r b a g s i n fl a t e i n s t a n t l y
and protect the occupants of the ve-
hicle.

B. Side impact zone. Immediately after the impact, the air

not hinder the visibility of the occu-
pants nor their exit if necessary from
the vehicle.
The air bags are not deployed in the
case of minor impacts, rear impacts
or in certain roll-over conditions. The
s e a t b e l t i s s u f fi c i e n t t o e n s u r e m a x i -
mum protection in these situations.
The seriousness of a collision de-
pends on the nature of the obstacle
and the speed of the vehicle at the
moment of the collision.

Note: the gas escaping from
the air bags can be a minor
irritant.

a wheel:
- on level, stable and non slippery g r o u n d ,
- with the handbrake applied,
- w i t h fi r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r e n g a g e d ,
- with the vehicle chocked,
- m a k i n g a b s o l u t e l y s u r e t h a t t h e o c c u p a n t s g e t o u t o f t h e v e h i c l e
and wait in a safe location.

Refitting the wheel
- After positioning the wheel, lightly
p r e - t i g h t e n t h e b o l t s u s i n g t h e
wheelbrace.
- C o m p r e s s t h e j a c k a n d r e l e a s e i t .
- F u l l y t i g h t e n t h e b o l t s u s i n g t h e wheelbrace.
- Replace the trim, starting at the valve passage hole, and press it
o n u s i n g t h e p a l m o f t h e h a n d . Replacing the wheel in the
carrier
- Replace the chock
2 in the wheel.
- Replace the wheel in the carrier.
- Lift the wheel then the carrier and reposition the hook.
- D o n o t f o r g e t t o f u l l y t i g h t e n t h e spare wheel carrier retaining bolt.
- Stow the wheelbrace 1 a n d t h e j a c k .
After changing the wheel
- Have the tightening of the bolts
a n d t h e p r e s s u r e o f t h e s p a r e t y r e
checked as soon as possible by a
CITROËN dealer.
- H a v e t h e p u n c t u r e d t y r e r e p a i r e d and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
