TOWING A TRAILER, CARAVAN, BOAT, ETC...
Distribution of loads
Distribute the load in the trailer so
that the heaviest objects are as
close as possible to the axle and
the nose weight is close to the
maximum authorised without, however,
exceeding it.
Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases
the coolant temperature. As the fan is electrically controlled, its
cooling capacity is not dependent on
the engine speed.
On the contrary, use a high gear to
lower the engine speed and reduce
your speed.
In all cases, pay attention to the
coolant temperature.
Driving advice
A towed vehicle must free wheel:
gearbox in neutral.

lowered fully.

4. OPERATING PROCEDURE - P l a c e t h e j a c k i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e l o c a t i n g p o i n t p r o v i d e d , t h e o n e
which is closest to the wheel to
b e c h a n g e d . E n s u r e t h a t t h e j a c k
is straight and that the base of
t h e j a c k i s f u l l y i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e
ground.
- E x t e n d t h e j a c k t o l i f t t h e w h e e l clear of the ground.
- R e s u m e a n d c o m p l e t e t h e unscrewing of the wheel bolts.
- R e m o v e t h e b o l t s a n d r e m o v e the wheel.
- R e m o v e t h e t r i m p u l l i n g i t u s i n g t h e
embellisher remover.
- Loosen the wheel bolts and start unscrewing them. D o n o t e x t e n d t h e j a c k u n t i l y o u h a v e
started unscrewing the bolts on the
w h e e l t o b e c h a n g e d a n d h a v e p l a c e d
t h e c h o c k u n d e r t h e w h e e l d i a g o n a l l y
o p p o s i t e .

- L o w e r t h e v e h i c l e c o m p l e t e l y b y f o l d i n g t h e j a c k , t h e n r e m o v e t h e
j a c k .
- T i g h t e n t h e b o l t s a g a i n u s i n g t h e wheelbrace, tighten them fully
without forcing them.
- P l a c e t h e w h e e l t o b e r e p a i r e d i n the carrier. - S e c u r e t h e c a r r i e r o n t h e h o o k t h e n
raise the carrier using the bolt and
the wheelbrace.
Never go underneath a vehicle that
i s s u p p o r t e d o n l y b y a j a c k ( u s e a
r a m p ) . N e v e r u s e a s c r e w d r i v e r i n
p l a c e o f t h e w h e e l b r a c e .
5. FITTING THE SPARE WHEEL
- Position the wheel on the hub and
start tightening the bolts by hand.
- C a r r y o u t a n i n i t i a l t i g h t e n i n g o f t h e bolts using the wheelbrace.

snow screen is installed on the lower
p a r t o f t h e f r o n t b u m p e r t o p r e v e n t t h e
accumulation of snow at the radiator
cooling fan. FITTING

- Pass a screwdriver into the hole
l o c a t e d n e a r e a c h o f t h e c l i p s .
- Use the screwdriver as a lever to u n c l i p t h e f o u r c l i p s B in turn.
- O f f e r u p t h e s n o w s c r e e n f a c i n g i t s
c e n t r i n g p i n A o n t h e f r o n t b u m p e r .
- P u t i t i n p l a c e b y p r e s s i n g a t e a c h c l i p B located in the four corners.
Do not forget to remove the
s n o w s c r e e n w h e n t h e e x t e r i o r
t e m p e r a t u r e i s h i g h e r t h a n 1 0 ° C
(no r i s k o f s n o w f a l l ) a n d w h e n
towing.
6. REFITTING THE REPAIRED
