Under-inflation alert
This is given by fixed illumination of  this  warning  lamp, accompanied
 by  an  audible  signal
 and,
 depending  on  equipment,
 the
 display  of  a  message.
Before
 reinitialising  the  system, Â
ensure that the pressures of
the four tyres are correct for the
use of the vehicle and in line with the
recommendations
 on  the  tyre  pressure Â
label.
The
 under-inflation  alert  can  only Â
be relied on if the reinitialisation of
the
system  has  been  done  with  the Â
pressures in the four tyres correctly
adjusted.
The
 under-inflation  detection  system Â
does not give a warning if a pressure is
incorrect
 at  the  time  of  reinitialisation.
The loss of pressure detected
does not always cause visible
bulging
of  the  tyre.  Do  not  satisfy Â
yourself
with  just  a  visual  check. The
alert  is  maintained  until  the Â
system
 is  reinitialised.
F
Â
Reduce
 speed  immediately,  avoid Â
excessive
 steering  movements  and Â
sudden
 braking
F
Stop the vehicle as soon as it is
safe
 to  do  so. F
In the event of a puncture, use
the
 temporary  puncture  repair  kit Â
or the spare wheel (depending on
equipment),
or
F
Â
if
you  have  a  compressor,  such  as Â
the
one  in  the  temporary  puncture Â
repair
kit,  check  the  pressures  of Â
the four tyres when cold,
or
F
Â
if
it  is  not  possible  to  make  this Â
check
 immediately,  drive  carefully Â
at
 reduced  speed.
Reinitialisation
It is necessary to reinitialise the system every time  one  or  more  tyre  pressures Â
are
adjusted,  and  after  changing  one Â
or
 more  wheels.

the

clutch
Â
pedal  fully.
To
Â
prevent
Â
the
Â
mat  from  becoming Â
caught
Â
under
Â
the  pedal:
-
Â
ensure
Â
that
 the  mat  is  positioned Â
and
Â
secured  correctly  on  the  floor,
-
Â
never
Â
fit
Â
one  mat  on  top  of  another.

knob  as  the  force  exerted, Â
even
Â
if
Â
slight,
Â
may  wear  the  internal Â
components
Â
of
 the  gearbox  over  time.
Changing into 5th or 6th gear
To engage the gear correctly, move the gear lever  fully  to  the  right.
Engaging reverse gear
The lever should be moved slowly to reduce  noise.
To engage reverse gear, wait until the
vehicle
has  come  to  a  complete  stop.
STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
When the vehicle is stationary,
release
 the  steering  wheel  adjustment Â
mechanism
 by  pulling  the  lever.
Adjust
the  steering  wheel  for  height Â
and
reach,  then  lock  the  mechanism  by Â
pushing
 the  lever  fully  forward. In

Acceleration
For optimum acceleration (e.g. to overtake another  vehicle),  simply Â
press the pedal beyond the point of
resistance at the end of its travel, by
pressing
 down  firmly.
Vehicle stationary, with the
engine running
In the event of a prolonged stop with
the engine running, the gearbox
changes automatically  to  neutral  N.
Stopping the vehicle
Before stopping the engine, put the
gear selector in position N.
In all cases, it is essential to apply
the
parking  brake.  Check  that  the Â
parking
brake  warning  lamp  is  on  in  the Â
instrument
 panel.
Before doing anything in the
engine
 compartment,  check  that Â
the gear selector is in neutral
N.
Changing gear
In situations of high engine speeds
(heavy acceleration), a change
up will not occur unless the driver
operates the electronic gearbox control
paddle. Pull on the "+" control
paddle
 to  change  up.
Pull on the "-" control
paddle to change
down.
-
If the vehicle stops or reduces
speed
 (for  example  when Â
approaching a stop sign),
the gearbox changes down
automatically
,  to  first  gear  if Â
needed.
-
It is not necessary to release the
accelerator
 completely  during  gear Â
changes.
-
a
gear change instruction is
accepted only if the engine speed
permits.
-
For safety reasons, depending on
the engine speed, a change down
may
 be  performed  automatically.
Manual mode
Changing to manual mode
Move the gear selector to M. Automatic mode Changing to automatic
mode
Move the gear selector to A.
The gearbox then operates in
automatic
Â
mode,

Â
on

part.
It constantly selects the gear that is

STOP & START
The Stop & Start system puts the engine
temporarily  on  standby  -  STOP mode
 -  during  stops  in  the  traffic  (red Â
lights,
 traffic  jams,  or  other...).
The
 engine  restarts  automatically  - Â
ST
ART
Â
mode  -  as  soon  as  you  want  to Â
move
 off.
The
 restart  takes  place  instantly, Â
quickly
 and  silently.
Perfect for urban use, the Stop & Start
system
 reduces  fuel  consumption  and Â
exhaust
emissions  as  well  as  the  noise Â
level
 when  stationary.
Operation
Going into engine STOP modeThe "ECO"  warning  lamp Â
comes
 on  in  the  instrument Â
panel and the engine goes
into
 standby:
-
with a manual gearbox
, at speeds
below
 12  mph  (20  km/h),  when  you Â
put the gear lever into neutral and
release the clutch pedal,
-
with a 6-speed electronic
gearbox
,  at  speeds  below  5  mph Â
(8
km/h),  when  you  press  the  brake Â
pedal or put the gear lever into
position
N. If
your  vehicle  is  fitted  with  the  system, Â
a
time  counter  calculates  the  sum  of Â
the
 periods  in  STOP
Â
mode  during  a Â
journey
.  It  rests  itself  to  zero  every  time Â
the
ignition  is  switched  on  with  the  key.
With a 6-speed electronic
gearbox,  for  your  comfort  during Â
parking
 manoeuvres,  STOP
Â
mode Â
is not available for a few seconds after
coming
 out  of  reverse  gear.
STOP
Â
mode  does  not  affect  the Â
functionality of the vehicle, such as
braking,
 power  steering,  for  example.
n
ever refuel with the engine in
STOP
Â
mode;  you  must  switch  off  the
ignition  with  the  key.Special cases: STOP mode
unavailable
STOP
Â
mode  is  not  invoked  when:
-
the vehicle is on a steep slope
(rising or fallin
g),
-
the driver's door is open,
-
the driver's seat belt is not
fastened,
-
the vehicle has not exceeded
6  mph  (10  km/h)  since  the  last Â
engine
 start  using  the  key,
- Â
the
engine  is  needed  to  maintain Â
a
 comfortable  temperature  in  the Â
passenger
 compartment,
- Â
demisting
 is  on,
- Â
some
 special  conditions  (battery Â
charge,
 engine  temperature, Â
braking
 assistance,  ambient  temperature...)
where  the  engine  is needed to assure control of a
system.
In this case, the
"ECO"
warning
 lamp  flashes  for  a Â
few
 seconds,  then  goes  off.
This operation is perfectly normal.
