ignition switch is at ON. Wait until this light has switched off before
starting.
The duration for which this is displayed is

Handbrake /
B r a k e fl u i d level F i x e d This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to “ON”
then switches off.
It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
The handbrake is
applied or has not been
released fully. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Release the handbrake
to switch off the warning light.

Emission
control system F i x e d o r

fl a s h e s i f t h e s y s t e m
fails. Consult a CITROËN dealer.
It should switch off a few seconds after starting
the engine.
Battery charge
F i x e d This comes on if a
charging circuit fault
occurs. It should switch off when the engine is started.
It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Check the battery
terminals (refer to the “Battery” section).

Driver’s
seat belt not fastened F i x e d The driver has not
fastened or has
unfastened his seat belt. This is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
Fasten the driver’s seat belt.
ABS
F i x e d This comes on if an
anti-lock braking system
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. The vehicle retains
conventional braking without assistance but
you are advised to stop. Have it checked by a
CITROËN dealer.
Air bags and
pretensioners F i x e d This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to “ON”
then switches off.
It should switch off when the engine is started. If
it does not switch off, contact a CITROËN dealer.
This comes on if an air
bag or pretensioner
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Have the system
checked by a CITROËN dealer without delay.

Each time the engine is started: a series of warning lights and/or messages come on applying a checking self test. They
switch off after a few seconds. Engine running: the warning light or the message becomes a warning if it remains on
c o n t i n u o u s l y o r fl a s h e s . T h i s i n i t i a l w a r n i n g m a y b e a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e o n t h e d i s p l a y . D o n o t
ignore these warnings.
W h e n t h e c a u s e o f t h e a p p e a r a n c e o f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t o r w a r n i n g m e s s a g e h a s b e e n r e c t i fi e d , t h e w a r n i n g d i s a p p e a r s f r o m
t h e d i s p l a y a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I f t h e c a u s e o f t h e w a r n i n g i s n o t r e c t i fi e d , y o u c a n r e t u r n t o t h e p r e v i o u s s c r e e n a t a n y t i m e b y
pressing the INFO button on the fascia.
The symbol “!” is displayed.
To return to the previous screen (with the “!” symbol), you must press the
INFO button several times.

DOORS
From outside
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, pull the
door handle. From inside
Pull the front or rear door control to
open the door.
If the doors are locked, opening the
driver’s door unlocks all of the doors.
The front passenger door or the rear
d o o r s m u s t fi r s t b e u n l o c k e d m a n u a l l y
using the locking control before being
opened.
Closing
If a door is not closed correctly,
this warning light comes on on
the instrument panel display
until the door concerned is
closed. Manual centralised control
System which provides full manual
locking or unlocking of the doors and
tailgate from the inside.
Locking
Press the front of button A to lock
the vehicle.
If the driver’s door is open when you
operate the central locking from in-
s i d e , a l l o f t h e d o o r s l o c k w i t h t h e e x -
ception of the driver’s door.
Unlocking
Press the rear of button A to unlock
the vehicle.
