a fault (dirty or loose terminals,
slack or cut alternator belt, ...). The warning light should go off when the engine is
started.
If it does not go off, contact a
CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Engine oil
pressure Continuous.
There is a fault with the engine
lubrication system. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a
CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.

The servicing interval has been exceededFor 5 seconds after the ignition is switched
on, the spanner flashes to indicate that
the service must be carried out as soon as
possible.
Example: the service is overdue by 186 miles
(3 0 0 k m).
For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on,
the screen indicates:
5 seconds after the ignition is switched on,
the total distance recorder resumes its normal
operation. The spanner remains on .
For BlueHDi Diesel versions, this alert
is also accompanied by the continuous
illumination of the Service warning light
when the ignition is switched on. The remaining mileage may be weighted
by time according to the driver’s driving
habits.
The spanner may therefore also come
on if you have exceeded the period
since the last service, as indicated in the
manufacturer's service schedule.
For BlueHDi Diesel versions, the spanner
may also come on early, depending on the
degree of deterioration of the engine oil
(depending on the country of sale).
The degree of deterioration of the engine
oil depends on the driving conditions in
which the vehicle is used.Resetting the service indicator
The service indicator must be reset after each
service.
The procedure for resetting to zero is as
follows:

witch off the ignition.
F
P
ress the trip distance recorder reset
button and keep it pressed.
F
S
witch the ignition on; the distance
recorder display starts a countdown.
F
R
elease the button when =0 is displayed;
the spanner disappears.
Following this operation, if you wish to
disconnect the battery, lock the vehicle
and wait at least five minutes for the zero
reset to be taken into account.
Retrieving the service
information
You can access the service information at any
time.
F
P
ress the trip distance recorder reset
button. The service information is
displayed for a few seconds, then
disappears.

Locking with the key
F Turn the key in the driver's door lock, towards the rear of the vehicle to lock it.
Check that the doors and boot are fully
closed.
Locating your vehicle
This function allows you to identify your vehicle
from a distance, particularly in poor light. Your
vehicle must be locked. F

ress the closed padlock button
on the remote control.
This will switch on the courtesy lights and the
direction indicators will flash for a few seconds.
Fault with the remote control
In the event of a malfunction with the remote
control, you can no longer unlock, lock or
locate your vehicle.

irst of all, use the key in the door lock to
unlock or lock your vehicle.
F

hen reinitialise the remote control.
Reinitialisation
F Switch off the ignition and remove the key from the switch.

ress the closed padlock button for a few
seconds.

eturn the key to position 2 ( ignition on).

witch off the ignition and remove the key
from the switch.
The remote control is now fully operational
again.
Changing the battery
Reference: CR2032 / 3 Volts. If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN
dealer as soon as possible.

Alarm
Perimeter protection
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a
door, the boot, the bonnet...Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of
service of its components.
The alarm is triggered if the battery, the
central control or the siren wiring are put
out of service or damaged.
For all work on the alarm system, contact
a
CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Locking the vehicle
with alarm
Activation
F Turn the vehicle off and exit.
Deactivation
F Press the unlocking button on the remote control.
F
P
ress the locking button on the
remote control.
The alarm is activated: an indicator
light in the switch panel to the left of
the steering wheel flashes once per
second.
The alarm is deactivated: the
indicator lamp goes off.
Theft and break-in protection and deterrent
system. It provides perimeter protection as well
as a self-protection function.
The perimeter protection is activated 5 seconds
after pressing the locking button on the remote
control.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed
fully, the vehicle is not locked but the alarm is
activated.

Back-up release
For mechanically locking and unlocking the
doors in the event of a fault with the central
locking system or a battery failure.
Driver's door
Insert the key in the door lock to lock or unlock
the door.
Passenger doors
F On the rear doors, check that the child lock is not on.

emove the black cap on the edge of the
door, using the key.
F
I
nsert the key in the socket without forcing
it, then without turning it, move the latch
sideways towards the inside of the door.

emove the key and refit the cap.

Back-up release
System for mechanically unlocking the boot in
the event of a battery or central locking fault.
Unlocking
F Fold back the rear seats to gain access to the lock from inside the boot.

nsert a small screwdriver into hole A of the
lock to unlock the tailgate.
If your vehicle is fitted with a fixed bench
seat, contact a
CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Locking / unlocking from inside
F Press this button to lock or unlock the doors and boot.
If one of the doors is open, the centralised
locking did not work.
Locking from outside
When the vehicle is locked from outside,
the button does not work.

o unlock the vehicle, pull the interior
door lever.
Automatic central locking
of the doors
The doors can lock automatically while driving
(speed above 6 mph [10 km/h]).
Driving with the doors locked may render
access by the emergency services to the
interior difficult in an emergency. F

function (activated by default),
press this button until a buzzer
sounds and/or a message
appears in the screen.

Front fog lights and rear fog light
Move the ring by rotating it:
F A 1st time for ward to switch the front fog
lights on.
F
A 2nd time for ward to switch the rear fog
light on.
F

st time backward to switch the rear fog
light of f.

nd time backward to switch the front fog
lights of f. The fog lights and side lights remain on if the
dipped beams are switched off manually.
F
T
urn the ring towards the rear to switch
off the fog lights, the side lights will then
switch off.
In good or rainy weather, both day and
night, using the front fog lights and the
rear fog light is prohibited. In these
situations, the power of their beams may
dazzle other drivers. They should only be
used in fog or falling snow.
In these weather conditions, it is your
responsibility to switch on the fog lights
and dipped headlights manually as the
sunshine sensor may detect sufficient
light.
Do not forget to turn of the front fog lights
and the rear fog light as soon as they are
no longer necessary. Switching off the lights when the
ignition is switched off
On switching off the ignition, all of the
lights turn off immediately, except for
dipped beam if automatic guide-me-home
lighting is activated.
Switching on the lighting when
switching on the ignition
To reactivate the lighting control, rotate
the ring to the "0" position - lights off, then
to the desired position.
When the driver's door is opened, a
temporary audible signal warns you that
the vehicle's lighting is on.
The lighting, with the exception of the
side lights, switch off automatically after
a maximum duration of thirty minutes to
prevent discharging of the battery.

Operation of the systemLocalised Assistance Call
The red indicator light is on
continuously: there is a system
fault.
The red indicator light flashes: replace the
back-up battery.
In both cases, the emergency and assistance
calls service may not work.
Contact a qualified repairer as soon as
possible.
A fault with the system does not prevent
the vehicle being driven. Press this button for more than
2
seconds to request assistance
if the vehicle breaks down.
A voice message confirms that the call has
been made**. Pressing this button again
immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confirmed by a voice
message.

ccording to the geographic coverage of
"Localised Emergency Call", "Localised
Assistance Call" and the official national
language chosen by the owner of the vehicle.
The list of countries covered and Telematic
services is available from dealers or at
www.citroen.co.uk.
Geo-location
You can deactivate geo-location by
simultaneously pressing the "Localised
Emergency Call" and "Localised Assistance
Call" buttons, followed by pressing "Localised
Assistance Call" to confirm.
To reactivate geo-location, simultaneously
press the "Localised Emergency Call" and
"Localised Assistance Call" buttons again,
followed by pressing "Localised Assistance
Call" to confirm. If you purchased your vehicle outside the
Brand network, we invite you to check
the configuration of these services and,
if desired, have a dealer change it to suit
your wishes. In a multi-lingual country,
configuration is possible in the official
national language of your choice.
For technical reasons and in particular to
improve the quality of "Telematic services"
services to customers, the manufacturer
reserves the right to carry out updates
to the vehicle's on-board communication
system.
