ancillaries battery
All of the electrical components of your vehicle
(other than the electric motor, the heating and
the air conditioning) are powered by this 12 V
ancillaries battery.
It is located in the front compartment and is
recharged by the main battery, during phases
of operation ("Ready" lamp on in the instrument
panel) and charging.
If the ancillaries battery is discharged,
it will not be possible to start the
motor and the main battery cannot be
charged. F

pen the front bonnet using the interior
release lever, then the exterior safety
catch.

ecure the bonnet stay.
F

lacken nut 1.
F
R
emove the battery protective cover for
access to the two terminals.Access to the battery
Disconnecting the battery is not
recommended.
However, if the vehicle is not to be
used for a prolonged period of more
than a month, it may be necessary to
disconnect and store it to avoid the
electrolyte freezing.
After prolonged disconnection of the
battery, you must contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop to have
the electronic control unit reinitialised.

Changing dipped beam headlamp
bulbs
F Turn the bulb holder to the left and pull it out.

emove the bulb by pressing on the tongue.

C
hange the bulb.
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
o r d e r.
Changing front foglamp bulbs /
daytime running lamp bulbs
F Put the front wheels onto full lock, to facilitate access.

emove the clips securing the protective
covers on the bulb holders.
F

ove the cover aside. F
T urn the bulb holder (A for the front fog
lamp, B for the daytime running lamp) to
the left and pull it out.

P
ull the bulb out and change it.
To reassemble, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

Front compartment fuses
The fusebox is placed in the front compartment
under the heating system reservoir. Only these
fuses can be replaced.
The replacement of fuses for other units
(vacuum pump and battery accessories)
requires the involvement of a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.

Towing the vehicleProcedure for having your vehicle towed using fixed mechanical equipment.
Towing your vehicle
The towing eye is welded to the body below the
front bumper.

nstall the towing bar.

tart your vehicle ("Ready" lamp on).

ut the drive selector in position N .

elease the parking brake.

witch on the hazard warning lamps on
your vehicle.

ave your vehicle towed for no more than
20 miles (30 km) without exceeding a
speed of 20 mph (30 km/h) .When towing the vehicle with the four
wheels on the ground, always use a
towing bar.
When towing with only two wheels on
the ground, use professional lifting
equipment.
Failure to follow these instructions may
cause damage to braking components
and the electric motor.
Changing a wiper
blade
Removing a front or rear
wiper blade
F Raise the corresponding wiper arm.

R emove the wiper blade, sliding it towards
the outside.
Fitting a front or rear wiper
blade
F Put the new wiper blade in place and secure it.

old down the wiper arm carefully.
Towing another vehicle
Your vehicle cannot be used in any
circumstances to tow another vehicle.

Precautions for
washing
To avoid damaging the electrical
components, the use of a high pressure
jet wash is strictly prohibited:

bonnet),

nder the body.
For washing the body, do not use a
pressure greater than 80
bars.
Check - before washing the vehicle -
that the charging flaps and the charging
socket covers (normal and fast charge)
are properly closed.
