For more economical driving, and increased rangePractical advice for everyday use to optimise the range of your vehicle by conserving battery power.
Adopt a smooth driving
style
The electrical consumption of your vehicle
depends greatly on your journey, your driving
style and your speed.
In all cases, adopt a smooth driving style.
Stay in the "Eco" zone indicated in the energy
consumption / generation meter: depress
the accelerator pedal progressively, without
sudden movement, and if the conditions permit,
drive at steady and moderate speed.
Recover energy
Anticipating the driving conditions allows you
to recover energy and increase the range of
your
vehicle.
Use the "Charge" zone of the energy
consumption
/ generation meter whenever
possible: anticipate the traffic slowing
down and if the the conditions permit, use
deceleration rather than the brakes.
Control the use of your
electrical equipment
The heating and air conditioning systems
operate on energy from the main battery.
Excessive use of these systems greatly
reduces the range of your vehicle. Remember
to switch them off once the desired level of
comfort is reached and check their settings
every time you set off.
Control also the use of demisting
/ defrosting
and the heated seat.
Limit the causes of excess
consumption
As with any vehicle, limit the loads carried
in the vehicle and reduce wind resistance
(windows open above 30 mph (50 km/h), roof
bars, roof box, …).
Observe the recommendations
on maintenance
Check the tyre pressures regularly and
follow the schedule for routine servicing
recommended by CITROËN.

This function gives an estimate of the number
of miles (km) that your vehicle can still cover,
based on the recent conditions of use (driving
style, use of heating, air conditioning...).
Range indicator
When the remaining range falls to a
low level, "- - -" is displayed in the
instrument panel.
The range can be displayed in miles or
kilometres.
To change the units, refer to the
"Distance recorder" section.

of wheels and tyres with sensor, you have to
select the corresponding set in the instrument
panel screen after fitting them.

Under-inflation detection
System which continuously and automatically
checks the pressures of the four tyres after
switching on the ignition.
A pressure sensor is located in the valve of
each tyre.
The system triggers an alert if a drop in
pressure is detected in one or more tyres,
compared to the reference pressure registered
in the system. This reference pressure must be
reinitialised every time the tyre pressures are
adjusted or a wheel changed.
The system operates on condition that sensor
identifiers have first been memorised in the
system by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
You can memorise two sets of tyres
(for example: wheels with "standard" tyres and
wheels with "winter" tyres). The tyre under-inflation detection
system is an aid to driving which does
not replace the need for vigilance on
the part of the driver. This system does not avoid the need to
check the tyre pressures regularly and
before a long journey.
Driving with under-inflated tyres
adversely affects road holding,
extends braking distances and causes
premature tyre wear, particularly under
arduous conditions (vehicle loaded,
high speed, long journey).
Driving with under-inflated tyres
increases fuel consumption. The tyre pressures for your vehicle can
be found on the tyre pressure label (see
the "Identification markings" section).
The tyre pressures must be checked
when the tyres cold (vehicle stopped
for 1 hour or after driving for less then
6 miles (10 km) at moderate speed).
Other wise, add 0.3 bar to the values
indicated on the label.

top as soon as it is safe to do so.
Before reinitialising the system, ensure
that the pressures in the four tyres are
suitable for the conditions of use of the
vehicle and as specified on the tyre
pressure label.
The under-inflation detection system
cannot warn of an incorrect pressure at
the time of reinitialisation.
The loss of pressure detected does not
always lead to visible deformation of the
tyre. Do not rely on just a visual check.
The alert is maintained until the
reference pressure is reinitialised after
the inflation, repair or replacement of
the tyres concerned. In the event of
the repair or replacement of tyres, the
sensor identifiers must be registered in
the system by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.

Reinitialising the reference
pressure
The system must be reinitialised after any
adjustment of tyre pressures and after
changing one or more wheels.

The under-inflation alert is only reliable
if the system has been reinitialised
with the four tyre pressures correctly
adjusted.Go to a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop
to have the system checked
or, following the repair of a puncture, to
have the original wheel, equipped with
a sensor, refitted.
The reinitialisation instruction is entered in
the instrument panel screen screen, with the
ignition on and the vehicle stationary.

detection system.
Reinitialisation of the system is confirmed
by the flashing of the warning lamp in the
instrument panel.
You then have to drive about 100 metres before
the warning lamp goes off.
Operating fault
The flashing and then fixed illumination
of the under-inflation warning lamp
indicates a fault with the system.
In this case, monitoring of the tyre pressures is
not assured.
This alert is also displayed if:
-
o
ne or more wheels is not fitted with a
sensor,
-
a w

frequency is close to the vehicle,
-
t
here are accumulations of snow or ice in
the wings or wheels,
-
t
he state of charge of the tyre pressure
monitoring system battery is too low,
-
t
he wheel sensor identifiers have not been
memorised in the system by a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop. Any tyre repair or replacement on a
wheel fitted with this system must be
carried out by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
If you fit the second set of tyres
memorised in the system, a fault will
be signalled until the second set is
selected in the configuration menu.

Managing sets of wheels
and tyres
Selection of the other set of wheels and tyres
is is done via the instrument panel screen, with
the ignition on and the vehicle stationary.
After fitting the new set of wheels and
tyres, you should check and adjust the
tyre pressures to the values specified
on the tyre pressure label (see the
"Identification markings" section). The system automatically reinitialises
the reference pressure based on the
pressure in the new set (the under-
inflation detection warning lamp flashes
during the operation).
If you have had a second set of wheels and
tyres registered by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop, every time you change the
set of wheels (fitting a set of winter tyres, for
example), you must select the set you have just
fitted in the configuration menu.

Fixed illumination of this warning
lamp indicates a malfunction of
the anti-lock braking system which
could result in a loss of control of the
vehicle on braking.

Illumination of these two
warning lamps indicates a
malfunction of the electronic
brake force distribution
which could result in a loss of control of the
vehicle on braking.
You MUST stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
When replacing wheels (tyres and rims),
ensure that they conform to the manufacturer's
recommendations.
Emergency braking assistance
System which, in an emergency, enables you
to obtain the optimum braking pressure more
quickly, thus reducing the stopping distance.
Activation
It is triggered by the speed at which the brake
pedal is pressed.
The effect of this is a reduction in the
resistance of the pedal and an increase in
braking efficiency.
When braking in an emergency, press
firmly without releasing the pressure.
Operating fault
Vehicle stationary
The warning lamp comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is switched
on (ON position). If it does not go off or
does not come on, contact a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.Illumination of this warning lamp
indicates a malfunction of the anti-
lock braking system, which could
result in a loss of control of the
vehicle when braking.
