Keyless Entry and Starting system
System that allows the opening, closing and starting of the vehicle while keeping the electronic key on your person.
Electronic key
This electronic key can also be used as a remote  control.
It
 includes  an  integral  emergency  key.

Unlocking the vehicle
Unlocking by the doors
F With the  electronic  key  on  your  person  a
nd  in  one  of  the  recognition  zones,  press Â
o
ne  of  the  buttons  on  the  door  handles  to Â
u
nlock  the  vehicle.

hen  pull  on  the  door  handle  to  open  the Â
d
o o r.
Unlocking by the boot
F With  the  electronic  key  on  your  person  a
nd  in  the  recognition  zone located  at  the Â
r
ear,  press  the  button  on  the  boot  handle  to Â
u
nlock  the  vehicle  and  release  the  tailgate.

hen  raise  the  tailgate  to  open  it.
The
 direction  indicators  flash  twice  to Â
c
onfirm  the  unlocking  of  the  vehicle.

Using the Keyless Entry
and Starting system
If the vehicle had been previously unlocked by the  front  door,  it  is  not  necessary  to  have  the Â

lectronic  key  on  your  person  to  use  the  boot Â
ope
ning

ontrol. F

ith  the  electronic  key  on  your  person, Â

ress  the  button  on  the  boot  sill  to  lock  it.
or
 L
ock  the  vehicle  by  the  front  doors.
When  closing  the  boot,  do  not  slam  shut Â
t
he  tailgate:  guide  it  down  and  release  it Â
a
t  the  end  of  its  travel.
Boot release
System for mechanical unlocking of the boot in  the  event  of  a  battery  or  central  locking Â
m
alfunction.
Unlocking
F Fold  the  rear  seat  backrest  to  gain  access  t
o  the  lock  from  inside  the  boot.
F

sing  a  screwdriver  protected  by  a  cloth, Â
r
emove  the  4  fixing  clips,  then  the  boot Â
t
rim.
F
Â
M
ove  the  trigger  to  the  right  to  unlock  the Â
t
ailgate.

Rear parcel shelf
To facilitate loading of the boot, the rear parcel shelf  is  fitted  to  the  tailgate.
When
 closing  the  tailgate,  check  that  nothing Â
c
ould  inter fere  with  the  return  to  position  of Â
t
he shelf.
Do
 not  place  heavy  loads  on  the  shelf, Â
a
s  they  may  cause  the  shelf  to  unclip.
To
 remove  the  shelf:

o
pen  the  tailgate,
F
Â
u
nclip  the  two  cords,
F
Â
p
ull  firmly  on  the  shelf  to  disengage  it  from Â
i
ts  hinges  on  the  tailgate  inner  trim.
You
 can  then  stow  the  shelf  behind  the  front Â
sea
ts.To
 refit  the  shelf:

o
pen  the  tailgate,
F
Â
p
osition  the  underside  of  the  shelf  facing Â
yo
u,
F
Â
c
lip  the  shelf  into  the  two  hinges,
F
Â
p
ass  the  two  cords  through  the  guides Â
e
ither  side  of  the  struts,
F
Â
c
lip  the  two  cords  in  place.
