After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in
t h e b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e
the central cover.
When using the "space-saver"
type temporary use spare wheel,
d o n o t e x c e e d 5 0 m p h ( 8 0 k m / h ) .
Have the tightening of the bolts
and the pressure of the spare
wheel checked by a CITROËN
dealer without delay.
Have the punctured wheel re-
paired and replace it on the vehicle
as soon as possible.
Do not drive with more than one
t e m p o r a r y u s e s p a r e w h e e l fi t t e d
to the vehicle at one time.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub.
Screw in the bolts by hand.
Pre-tighten the security bolt using
the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e -
curity bolt socket 4 .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e c u r i t y
bolt socket 4 .
Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
R e fi t t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r s o n
each of the bolts.
Store the tools in the box.

BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery
w h e n i t i s fl a t o r f o r s t a r t i n g t h e e n g i n e
using another battery.
The battery is located under the bonnet.
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t :
open the bonnet using the interior
lever, then the exterior lever,
secure the bonnet strut,
remove the plastic cover by pulling
on its grip for access to the two ter-
minals,
unclip the fuse box to remove the
battery, if necessary.

Starting using another battery
Connect the red cable to the posi-
t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e fl a t b a t t e r y A ,
t h e n t o t h e p o s i t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f
the slave battery B .
Connect one end of the green or black
c a b l e t o t h e n e g a t i v e t e r m i n a l ( - )
of the slave battery B .
Connect the other end of the green
or black cable to the negative termi-
n a l ( - ) o f t h e fl a t b a t t e r y A .
Start the slave vehicle.
Operate the starter of the broken
down vehicle and let the engine
run.
Wait until the engine returns to idle
and disconnect the cables.
