lever into neutral and you release the clutch pedal,
-
with a 5 or 6-speed electronic gearbox:at speeds below 5 mph (8 km/h), when you press the brake pedal or you move the gear lever to position N.
In some circumstances, STOP mode may notbe available; the "ECO"warning lamp flashes for a few seconds, then goes off.
Going into engine START mode
The "ECO"

If an automatic wiping fault occurs, the wipers
will operate in intermittent mode.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
Vertical windscreen wiper
position
This position allows the wiper blades to be lifted
for winter parking, cleaning or replacement
without damaging the bonnet.
In the minute following switching off of the ignition, any action on the wiper stalk positions
the wipers vertically.
To park the wipers after this has been done, switch on the ignition and operate the wiper stalk. This is controlled manuall
y by the driver bypushing stalk Ato the "AU TO "position.
This is controlled manually by the driver
by moving stalk Aupwards, returning it toposition "0"
. It is accompanied b
y the indicator lamp
in the instrument panel going off and a message in the multifunction screen.
It is accompanied by the illumination of this indicator lamp in the instrument panel anda message in the multifunction screen.
The automatic wiping must bereactivated if the ignition has been off for more than one minute, by pushing stalk A

Do not cover the rain sensor, linked withthe sunshine sensor and located in thecentre of the windscreen behind therear view mirror. Switch off the automatic wiping whenusing an automatic car wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until thewindscreen is completely clear of icebefore activating the automatic wiping.
To retain the effectiveness of the "flat-blade" wiper blades, it is advisable to:

immobilised with your foot on the brake. )Select position R.
Operating fault
With the ignition on, if this warninglamp comes on and AUTOflashes,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message in the multifunction

fault.Have it checked by a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.
At low speed, if reverse gear is requested,
the N warning lamp flashes and the gearbox
goes into neutral automatically.
To e n
gage reverse, put the gear lever intoposition N

Maintenance
In the event of a fault with the system, the
"ECO OFF"
switch warning lamp flashes thencomes on continuously.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
In the event of a fault in STOP mode, the
vehicle ma
y stall. All of the instrument panel
warning lamps come on. It is then necessary
to switch o
ff the ignition and star t the engine
again using the key. This s
ystem requires a battery with a specialspecification and technology (reference numbers available from a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop).
Fitting a battery not listed by CITROËN
introduces the risk of malfunction of the system.
Press the "ECO OFF"switch again.
The system is active again; this is con
firmed
by the switch warning lamp going off, accompanied by a message in the screen.
Before doing anything under the bonnet, deactivate the Stop & Start system toavoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of STA R T m o d e .
The system is reactivated automaticallyat every new star t using the key.
The Stop & Star t system makes use of advanced technology. All workon this type of battery must be doneby a CITROËN dealer or a qualifiedworkshop.
