VISIBILITY In fog or snow, the sunshine sen-
s o r m a y d e t e c t s u f fi c i e n t l i g h t .
Therefore, the lamps will not come
on automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sen-
sor, linked with the rain sensor and
located in the centre of the wind-
screen behind the rear view mirror;
the associated functions would no
longer be controlled.
Linked with the Guide-me-home
lighting
Association with the automatic illumina-
tion of headlamps provides the guide-me-
home lighting with the following additional
options:
- automatic activation of guide-me-
home lighting when automatic illu-
mination of headlamps is switched
on (in the vehicle parameters of the
m u l t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n
m e n u ) ,
- selection of the duration of maintain- ing of the lighting for 15, 30 or 60 sec-
onds in the vehicle parameters of
t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu (except for monochrome
screen A w h e r e t h i s i s p r e s e t ) .
Operating fault In the event of a malfunction
of the sunshine sensor, the
lamps come on, this warn-
ing lamp is displayed in the
instrument panel and/or a message
appears in the multifunction screen, ac-
companied by an audible signal.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT
The initial setting is position "0" .
To avoid causing a nuisance to other
road users, the height of the halogen
headlamps should be adjusted accord-
ing the load in the vehicle.
0. 1 or 2 people in the front seats.
-. Less than 5 people.
1. 5 people.
-. 5 people + maximum authorised load.
2 - 3. Driver + maximum authorised load.

Seat belt not fastened/unfastened

Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
To lower the attachment point,
squeeze the control A and slide it
downwards.
To raise the attachment point, slide
the control A upwards.
When the ignition is switched
on, this warning lamp comes on,
either on the instrument panel
or on the seat belt and passen-
ger’s front airbag warning lamp display,
if the driver and/or the front passenger
has not fastened their seat belt.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h)
t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n -
utes accompanied by an audible signal.
Once these two minutes have elapsed,
this warning lamp remains on until the
driver and/or the front passenger fas-
tens their seat belt.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Guide the seat belt as it rolls up. SEAT BELTS
Front seat belts
T h e f r o n t s e a t b e l t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a p r e -
tensioning and force limiting system.
This system improves safety in the front
seats in the event of a front or side im-
pact. Depending on the severity of the
impact, the pretensioning system in-
stantly tightens the seat belts against
the body of the occupants.
The pretensioning seat belts are active
when the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure
of the seat belt on the chest of the occu-
pant, so improving their protection.

three-point inertia reel seat belt with
force limiter (with the exception of the
rear centre seat).
Locking
When the rear side side belts are not being
used, you can lock them in place. To do so:
Raise the grip A to its maximum
height.
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Guide the seat belt as it rolls up.
The corresponding warning lamp 2 or 3
comes on in red on the seat belt and
passenger’s front airbag warning lamp
display if the seat belt is not fastened or

This warning lamp comes on,
either on the instrument panel
or on the seat belt and passen-
ger’s front airbag warning lamp
display, when one or more rear passen-
gers unfasten their seat belt.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h), this
w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s a c c o m -
panied by an audible signal of increasing vol-
ume. Once these two minutes have elapsed,
this warning lamp remains on until the one or
more rear passengers fasten their seat belt.

display
When the ignition is switched on, the corre-
sponding warning lamps 4 , 5 and 6 come
o n i n r e d f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y 3 0 s e c o n d s , i f
the seat belt is not fastened.
When the engine is running or the vehi-
cle is moving, the corresponding warning
lamp 4 , 5 or 6 comes on in red, accompa-
nied by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction screen, if a rear pas-
senger has unfastened their seat belt.

If at least one of the two airbag
warning lamps come on continu-
ously, do not install a child seat on
the front passenger seat.
Have the system checked by a
CITROËN dealer.
Operating fault If this warning lamp comes on on
the instrument panel, accompa-
nied by an audible warning and
a message on the multifunction
screen, contact a CITROËN dealer to
have the system checked. The airbags
may no longer be triggered in the event
of a serious impact.
Reactivation
When you remove the child seat, turn
switch
1 to the "ON" position to reacti-
vate the airbag and so assure the safety
of your front passenger in the event of
an impact.
With the ignition on, this warn-
ing lamp comes on on the in-
strument panel or on the seat
belt and passenger’s front air-
bag warning lamp display for approxi-
mately one minute, if the passenger’s
front airbag is activated. To assure the safety of your child, it
is imperative that the passenger’s
front airbag is deactivated when
you install a "rearwards-facing"
child seat on the front passenger
seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk be-
ing seriously injured or killed if the
airbag were triggered.
According to version, this warn-
ing lamp comes on either on
the instrument panel or on the
seat belt and passenger’s front
airbag warning lamp display when the
ignition is on and until the airbag is re-
activated. I f t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s ,
contact a CITROËN dealer.
The passenger’s front airbag
may no longer be triggered in
the event of a serious impact.
Deactivation
Only the passenger’s front airbag can
be deactivated:
with the ignition off , insert the key
in the passenger airbag deactivation
switch 1 ,
turn it to the "OFF" position,
then, remove the key keeping the
switch in this position.

SPEED LIMITER
System which prevents the vehicle from
e x c e e d i n g t h e s p e e d p r o g r a m m e d b y
the driver.
When the programmed speed limit is
reached, pressing the accelerator pedal in
the normal manner no longer has any effect.
The controls of this system are grouped
together on stalk A .
1. Speed limiter mode selection thumb
wheel.
2. Value decrease button.
3. Value increase button.
4. Speed limiter on/off button. The programmed information is grouped
together on the instrument panel screen.
5. Speed limiter on/off indication.
6. Speed limiter mode selection indica-
tion.
7. Programmed speed value.

The speed limiter cannot, in any
circumstances, replace the need
to respect speed limits, nor can it
replace the need for vigilance and
responsibility on the part of the
driver.
The speed limiter is
switched on man-
u a l l y : i t r e q u i r e s a p r o g r a m m e d s p e e d
o f a t l e a s t 2 0 m p h ( 3 0 k m / h ) .
The speed limiter is switched off by
manual operation of the control.
T h e p r o g r a m m e d s p e e d c a n b e e x c e e d -
ed temporarily by pressing the accelera-
t o r fi r m l y .
To return to the programmed speed,
simply slow down to a speed below the
programmed speed.
The programmed speed remains in the
memory when the ignition is switched
off.

of sharp acceleration, the speed
limiter will not be able to prevent
t h e v e h i c l e f r o m e x c e e d i n g t h e p r o -
grammed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the
p e d a l s :
-
ensure that the mat is positioned
correctly,
- d o n o t fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o fanother.
Programming
Turn thumb wheel 1 to the "LIMIT"
p o s i t i o n : t h e s p e e d l i m i t e r m o d e
is selected but is not switched on
( P A U S E ) .
You do not have to switch the speed
limiter on in order to set the speed.
Exceeding the programmed speed
P r e s s i n g t h e a c c e l e r a t o r p e d a l t o e x c e e d t h e p r o g r a m m e d
speed will not have any effect unless you press the pedal
fi r m l y past the point of resistance .
The speed limiter is deactivated temporarily and the pro-
g r a m m e d s p e e d , w h i c h i s s t i l l d i s p l a y e d , fl a s h e s .
Returning to the programmed speed, by means of int entional
or unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, autom atically can-
c e l s t h e fl a s h i n g o f t h e p r o g r a m m e d s p e e d .
Leaving limiter mode
Turn thumb wheel 1 to the "0" p o s i t i o n : t h e s p e e d l i m i t e r
mode is deselected. The display returns to the distance
recorder. Operating fault
In the event of a speed limiter malfunc-
tion, the speed is cleared resulting in
fl a s h i n g o f t h e d a s h e s .
Have the system checked by a CITROËN
dealer.
Set the speed value by pressing button 2 or 3 ( e . g . : 5 5 m p h
( 9 0 k m / h ) ) .
You can then change the programmed speed using but tons 2
and 3 :
- b y + o r - 1 m p h ( k m / h ) = s h o r t p r e s s ,
- b y + o r - 5 m p h ( k m / h ) = l o n g p r e s s ,
- i n s t e p s o f + o r - 5 m p h ( k m / h ) = m a i n t a i n e d p r e s s .
Switch the speed limiter on by pressing button 4 .
Switch the speed limiter off by pressing button 4 : t h e

Switch the speed limiter back on by pressing button 4
again.

CRUISE CONTROL
System which automatically maintains
the speed of the vehicle at the value
programmed by the driver, without any
action on the accelerator pedal.
The cruise control is switched on
m a n u a l l y : i t r e q u i r e s a m i n i m u m v e h i c l e
s p e e d o f 2 5 m p h ( 4 0 k m / h ) a n d t h e e n -
gaging of at least 4th gear.
The controls of this system are grouped
together on control stalk A . The programmed information is grouped
together on the instrument panel screen.

The cruise control cannot, in any
circumstances, replace the need
to respect speed limits, nor can it
replace the need for vigilance and
responsibility on the part of the
driver.
The cruise control is
switched off man-
ually or by pressing the brake or clutch
pedal or on triggering of the ESP sys-
tem for safety reasons.
I t i s p o s s i b l e t o e x c e e d t h e p r o g r a m m e d speed temporarily by pressing the
accelerator pedal.
To return to the programmed speed,
simply release the accelerator pedal.
Switching off the ignition cancels any
programmed speed value.

on, be careful if you maintain the
pressure on one of the programmed s p e e d c h a n g i n g b u t t o n s : t h i s m a y
result in a very rapid change in the
speed of your vehicle.
Do not use the cruise control on
s l i p p e r y r o a d s o r i n h e a v y t r a f fi c .
On a steep descent, the cruise
control will not be able to prevent
t h e v e h i c l e f r o m e x c e e d i n g t h e p r o -
grammed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the
