Deactivation indicator lamps
I f o n e o f t h e f o l l o w i n g i n d i c a t o r l a m p s c o m e s o n , t h i s c o n fi r m s t h a t t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g s y s t e m h a s b e e n s w i t c h e d o f f i n t e n t i o n a l l y .
This is may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction screen.
Warning lamp is on Cause Action/Observations
Passenger’s
airbag
system fi x e d . The control switch, located
at the driver’s end of the
dashboard, is set to the
"OFF
" position.
The passenger’s front airbag
is deactivated.
In this case you can install a
"rear facing" child seat. Set the control switch to the
"ON" position to acti-
vate the passenger’s front airbag. In this case, do
n o t fi t a c h i l d s e a t i n t h e r e a r - f a c i n g p o s i t i o n .
The passenger’s airbag system is put into service
automatically when the vehicle is started ( "ON"
position).
ESP/ASR fi x e d . The button, located in the
middle of the dashboard, is
pressed. Its indicator lamp
is on.
The ESP/ASR is deactivated.
ESP: electronic stability pro-
gramme.
ASR: anti-skid regulation. Press the button to activate the ESP/ASR. Its
indicator lamp switches off.
The ESP/ASR system is activated automatically
when the vehicle is started.
If deactivated, the system is reactivated automati-
cally from approximately 30 mph (50 km/h).

Anti-lock
Braking System (ABS) fi x e d .
The anti-lock braking system
has a fault. The vehicle retains conventional braking.
Drive carefully at reduced speed and contact a
CITROËN dealer without delay.
Dynamic
stability control
(ESP/ASR) fl a s h i n g .
The ESP/ASR regulation is
active. The system optimises traction and improves the
directional stability of the vehicle.
fi x e d . Unless it has been deactivated
with the indicator lamp on
the button on, the ESP/ASR
system is faulty. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer.
Engine
autodiagnosis system fi x e d .
The emission control system
has a fault. This lamp should switch off when the engine is
started.
If it does not switch off, contact a CITROËN dealer
urgently.
fl a s h i n g . The engine management
system has a fault. Risk of destruction of the catalytic convertor.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer.
Low fuel level fi x e d . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s o n t h e r e r e -
mains approximately 5 litres
of
fuel in the tank.
You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid
running out of fuel.
This warning lamp will come on every time the
i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , u n t i l a s u f fi c i e n t a d d i t i o n
of fuel is made.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres (petrol)
or 48 litres (Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel
as this could damage the emission control and
injection systems.

the information relating to speed
and distance also changes to kilo-
metres.
Display settings
Once the "Display settings" menu has
been selected, you can gain access to
the following settings:
- year,
- month,
- day,
- hour,
- minutes,
- 12 or 24 hour mode.
Language
Once the "Language" menu has been
selected, you can change the language
used by the display (Français, Italiano,
Nederlands, Portugues, Portugues-
Brasil, Deutsch, English, Espanol).
Units
Once the "Units" menu has been se-
lected, you can change the units of the
following parameters:
- temperature (°C or °F),
- fuel consumption (l/100 km, mpg or
km/l).
Once you have selected a setting,
press the " " or " " buttons to
change its value.
Press the " " or " " buttons to
switch respectively to the previous
or next setting.
Press the "OK" button to record the
change and return to the normal dis-
play or press the "ESC" button to
cancel.

Options
Once the "Options" menu has been se-
lected, you can start diagnostics of the

O n c e t h e " V e h i c l e C o n fi g u r a t i o n " m e n u

deactivate the following equipment:
- wiper linked with reverse gear (refer
to the "Visibility" section),
- "guide-me-home" lighting (refer to the "Visibility" section).

Options
Once the "Options" menu has been se-
lected, you can start diagnostics of the
status of the equipment (active, not ac-
tive, faulty).
Language
Once the "Language" menu has been
selected, you can change the language
used by the display (Français, Italiano,
Nederlands, Portugues, Portugues-
Brasil, Deutsch, English, Espanol).
Units
Once the "Units" menu has been se-
lected, you can change the units of the
following parameters:
- temperature (°C or °F),
- fuel consumption (l/100 km, mpg or km/l). Displays in the MyWay satellite
navigation colour screen
"SETUP" menu
Date and time
This menu allows you to adjust the date
and time, and their format (refer to the
"Audio and telematics section").
Display
This menu allows you to adjust the
brightness of the display, the display
contrast and the colour of the map (day/
night and auto mode).
System parameters
This menu allows you to restore the
factory settings, to display the software
version and to activate scrolling text.
This displays the following information:
- time,
- date,
- audio functions,
- navigation system information.
The chosen language will also be
used in the MyWay satellite navi-
gation colour screen.
Once the fuel consumption unit
has been changed to l/100 km or
km/l, the information relating to
speed and distance also changes
to kilometres.

the value required (15, 30 or 60 sec-
onds), then press the "OK" button

Choice of language
Once this menu has been selected,
you can change the language used
by the display (Deutsch, English,
Espanol, Français, Italiano, Nederlands,

metres. Telephone menu
With the Audio system on, with this menu
s e l e c t e d , y o u c a n c o n fi g u r e y o u r B l u e -
tooth hands-free kit (pairing), view the
various telephone directories (call log,
services...) and manage your calls (call,
hang up, double call, secret mode ...).

application, refer to the Audio system
section in "Audio and Telematics".

COMFORT When the engine is cold, to prevent
too great a distribution of cold air,
t h e a i r fl o w w i l l r e a c h i t s o p t i m u m
level gradually.
In cold weather, it favours the dis-
tribution of warm air to the wind-
screen, side windows and footwells
only. On entering the vehicle, if the inte-
rior temperature is much colder or
warmer than the comfort value, there
is no need to change the value dis-
played in order to obtain the comfort
required. The system corrects the
difference in temperature automati-
cally and as quickly as possible.
The air conditioning only operates when
the engine is running. The driver and front passenger
can each adjust the tempera-
ture to their requirements.
Turn control 2 or 3 to the left or to
the right respectively to decrease or
increase this value.
A setting around the value 21 provides
optimum comfort. However, depend-
ing on your requirements, a setting be-
tween 18 and 24 is normal.
You are advised to avoid a left/right set-

the windscreen and side win-
dows (humidity, several pas-
sengers, ice, etc.).
In this case, select the automatic
visibility programme.
The system automatically controls the
a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g , t h e a i r fl o w a n d t h e a i r
intake and provides optimum distribu-
tion of the ventilation to the windscreen
and side windows.
A u t o m a t i c o p e r a t i o n
Press the "AUTO" button.
The indicator lamp on the

DUAL-ZONE DIGITAL AIR CONDITIONING
We recommend the use of this mode:
it permits automatic and optimised ad-
justment of all of the functions, passen-
g e r c o m p a r t m e n t t e m p e r a t u r e , a i r fl o w ,
air distribution and air recirculation, in
accordance with the comfort value that
you have chosen.
This system is designed to operate ef-
fectively in all seasons, with the windows
closed. The value indicated on the display cor-
responds to a level of comfort and not
to a temperature in degrees Celsius or
Fahrenheit.
To switch it off, press the " v i s i b i l i t y "
button again or press the "AUTO" but-
ton, the indicator lamp on the button
switches off and the indicator lamp on
the "AUTO" button comes on.

locks in place.

T h e 1 / 3 - 2 / 3 r e a r s e a t i s fi t t e d w i t h h e a d
restraints.
They have a high position (for comfort
and safety) and a low position (for rear
visibility).
They may be removed, as follows:
pull the head restraint upwards as
far as possible,
then, press on the lug A .
When you are carrying rear pas-
sengers, never drive with the head
restraints removed. They must be
secured in place in the high position. When putting back in position,
take care not to jam the seat

and the bench rear seat folded and
in the fully back position.

The objects observed are, in real-
ity, closer than they appear.
Take this into account in order to
correctly judge the distance of ve-
hicles approaching from behind.
MIRRORS
D o o r m i r r o r s
The mirror glass is electrically adjust-
able.
A lamp located under the mirror shell
provides lighting for the driver's and
front passenger's entry and exit.
This exterior lighting comes on when the
vehicle is unlocked or a door is opened
and stays on for a timed period. Folding
From outside: lock the vehicle using
the remote control or the key.
From inside: with the ignition on, pull
control A rearwards.
The folding and unfolding of the
door mirrors using the remote
control can be deactivated by a
CITROËN dealer.
Never fold or unfold the electric
folding mirrors manually.
A d j u s t m e n t
Unfolding
From outside: unlock the vehicle
using the remote control or the key.
From inside: with the ignition on, pull
control A rearwards.
If the mirrors are folded using
control
A , they will not unfold when
the vehicle is unlocked. Pull again
on control A .
Move control A to the right or to the left
to select the corresponding mirror.
Move control B in all four directions
to adjust.
Return control A to the central position.
