R E M O T E C O N T R O L
Note: The simultaneous use of other high frequency equipment (mobile telephones, domestic alarms, etc.) may momentarily hinder the operation of the remote control.
If there is a permanent fault, the remote control has to be reinitial-ised. See “Changing remote con-trol batteries”.
Central unlocking
A short press on control B unlocks your vehicle.
This operation is confi rmed by the rapid fl ashing of the direction indicators and the lighting of the interior lamp (if the function is activated). It can also deploy the exterior rear view mirrors.
Central locking – Deadlocking
A short press on button A locks your vehicle.
This is confi rmed by the lighting for around 2 seconds of the direction indica-tors and by the interior lamp going out. It may cause the exte rior rear view mirrors to fold back.
If any of the doors, or the boot, is open or not properly closed, the central locking does not operate.
For vehicles equipped with deadlocking, two successive presses on co ntrol A will operate deadlocking. It is then impossible to open the doors, either from the inside or from the outside.
It is dangerous to operate the deadlocking when a p erson is in the vehicle as unlocking is impossible from the inside (without the remote control).

The key number is on the label attached to the key.
If you lose your keys
Visit your CITROËN dealer with your vehicle registr ation documents and your proof of identity.
Your CITROËN dealer will be able to recover the key and transponder code to enable your key to be replaced.
Electronic immobiliser key
The key operates all the vehicle’s locks as well as the ignition.Note: For safety reasons, a buzzer will sound if you have switched off the ignition and opened the driv-er’s door without having removed the ignition key.
The key can be used to deactivate the front passenger’s airbag. See “Airbags”.
Central locking using the key
A brief action with the key locks the vehicle.
Deadlocking: Central locking using the key
A second action straightaway with the key deadlocks the vehicle. It is then impossible to open the doors from either inside or outside the vehicle.Note:With the vehicle stationary and the engine switched off, locking is sig-nalled by the fl ashing of the interior locking control warning lamp.If any of the doors, or the boot, is open or not properly clo sed, the central locking does not operate.
Electronic immobiliser
The ELECTRONIC IMMOBILISER device locks the engine supply system.
The system activates automatically as the key is removed from the igni tion.
All the vehicle’s keys contain an electronic immobiliser device.
After you switch on the ignition, a dialogue starts between the key and the electronic immobiliser device.
If the key is not recognised, you cannot start the vehicle .
If this occurs, leave your vehicle immobilised and contact a CITRO ËN dealer.

A N T I - I N T R U S I O N A L A R M
Your vehicle may be equipped with an ANTI-INTRUSION ALARM. This provides:Exterior perimeter protection by means of detectors on the vehi-cle access points (doors, boot, bonnet) as well as on the elec-trical supply.Interior volumetric protection by means of ultrasonic sensors (detecting movement inside the passenger compartment). This can be deactivated using the control 1.

Operating the alarm
First make sure all the doors are closed.
The alarm is armed by pressing button A on the remote control.
With the alarm armed, the protections are active after 5 seconds (perimeter) and 45 seconds (volumetric).
When the alarm is armed (on standby), any intrusion will trigger the siren for 30 seconds, accompanied by the direction indicators lighting up.
The alarm then goes back on standby, but the trigger-ing remains memorised and is signalled by the rapid fl ashing of the warning lamp on control 1 after you have deactivated the alarm with a press on the unlocking button B. The fl ashing stops when you switch on the ignition.
The siren is also triggered if there is a cutting of the electrical supply. To stop it, restore the electrical supply then press on the unlocking button B.Note:If you want to lock your vehicle without arming the alarm, just lock with the key only.If you lock your vehicle and a door, or the boot, is still open, the central locking does not operate but the alarm will arm itself after approx. 45 seconds.Note: The siren is automatically deactivated (for exam-ple for disconnecting the battery) as soon as the vehicle is unlocked using the remote control.

To gain access to the boot:Open the rear screen 1 with a press on control A, located above the let-ter R in CITROËN.Open the rear screen rear screen
The luggage cover integral to the rear screen folds up automatically when the rear screen is opened,
Or,Open the rear screen 1 with a press on control A, then open the tailgate 2with a press on control B located inside the tailgate.

Boot fl oor
The boot fl oor consists of two movable components (A and B) allowing the boot to be divided into sections.
In spider and cabriolet confi gurations, the lower part of the boot is designed to receive the roof cassette (see chapter “Modularity”).
In saloon confi guration, parts A and B can be removed to achieve maximum volume.
Luggage securing rings
To secure your loads, use the four anchoring rings at the sides of the boot.
For reasons of safety, it is recom-mended to place heavy objects as far forward as possible on the boot fl oor.
When folding back the roof cassette, only the front part A c an remain in place.
The two components A and B of the boot fl oor and the tailgate can support loads of up to 100 kg.

Removal
To remove component B, simply pull using the two side handles.
To remove component A, detach it from its housing by pulling rear-wards.
Storage areas
To stow component A against the rear backrests, unlock the back-rests and position component Avertically in the locations provided.
Component B stows fl at on the bottom of the boot.
Refi tting
Reposition component A, then component B.
Boot compartment cover:
See chapter “Modularity”.
Make sure that the seat backrest is correctly locked in place.

A. Press the light grey control located on the interior face of the rear screen.
B. Lift the assembly a few centi-metres until it clicks in place.
The rear tailgate should be open throughout the operation to allow the pivoting of the cassette.
The telescopic locking handles of the arches should be completely retracted in their housings (see the following pages for removing the arches).
Before stowing the cassette in the boot, make sure that the boot is empty.
Prior conditions for the fold-ing operation:The ignition must be switched on.The soft roof must have fully slid onto the rear screen (Posi-tion 9).
The rear part of the movable fl oor must have been removed.
The boot must be empty.The rear tailgate 2 should be open and the rear screen 1closed.
Make sure that the luggage retaining rings are down fl at.

D. Cassette stowed.E. Reposition the rear part of the boot fl oor.
F. Position the boot compartment cover.
C. Pivot it to stow it in the boot compartment.
Always use the handholds in the top and bottom of the cassette, to:Open or close the rear screen.
Move the cassette.
Never grab the cassette by the roof material or frame.
Do not exert pressure on the roof material or frame to clo se the rear screen or the cassette.

D. Remove the arch horizontally towards the rear, in the line of the vehicle.
E. Position the boot compartment cover and the side covers.
C. Removing the arches
Make sure that the handle is in the up position.
With one hand grab the arch at the centre 1, with the other hand hold the rear extremity 2.
Raise the rear part a few centime-tres.
Handle the arches with care so as not to damage the vehicle’s bodywork.
Place the arches down horizontally on a clean, dry surfa ce so that they rest on their inner sides to prevent damage to their outer faces.
