D R I V I N G In bad weather or in winter, ensure
that the sensors are not covered
with mud, ice or snow. When re-
verse gear is engaged, an audible
signal (long beep) indicates that
the sensors may be dirty.
When the vehicle is being driven
at a speed below approximately
6 mph (10 km/h), certain sour-
ces of noise (motorcycles, lorries,
pneumatic drills, ...) may trigger the
audible reversing signal.
The system will be deactivated
automatically when a trailer is being
towed or when a bicycle carrier is
fi t t e d ( v e h i c l e fi t t e d w i t h a t o w b a r
or bicycle carrier recommended by
CITROËN).
Deactivation
Depending on version:
Press button A , the warning lamp
comes on, the system is comple-
tely deactivated.

engaged.

Comfort and storage device for the
rear passengers.
Lower the rear armrest for a
more comfortable position.
Raise the cover to gain access
to its storage compartment.
This has a storage tray, two can hol-
ders and two pen holders.

The wheel should be correctly

normal to note that the heads of the
wheel bolts do not come to bear on

The steel spare wheel is secured
b y t h e c o n i c a l t a p e r i n g o f t h e w h e e l
b o l t s ’ s h a f t s , s e e d i a g r a m .
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e a l u m i n i u m w h e e l ,
ensure that the wheel bolt heads are
i n u n d a m a g e d c o n d i t i o n .

a few turns, then position it at the

depending on the slope (for ve-

wheelbrace 1 b y p u l l i n g c l o s e t o
t h e v a l v e .
For vehicles with aluminium
wheels, slide the embellisher re-
moval tool 3 into the slot in the
c e n t r a l e m b e l l i s h e r a n d a p p l y
fi r m l e v e r a g e t o d e t a c h .
Slacken the wheel bolts using
the wheelbrace 1 .
F o r v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h s e c u r i t y
w h e e l b o l t s , s l a c k e n t h e s e c u r i t y
bolts using the socket 4 fi t t e d o n
the wheelbrace 1 .
Position the jack 2 under the bo-
d y s h e l l , e x a c t l y a s i n t h e i l l u s t r a -
tion at the mark A , closest to the
w h e e l t h a t i s t o b e r e p l a c e d .
Operate the jack 2 until its base
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d .
Make sure that the base of the
j a c k i s v e r t i c a l l y b e l o w t h e j a c -
k i n g p o i n t u s e d .

Remove the bolts and disengage

Pretighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 . F o r v e h i c l e s fi t t e d
w i t h s e c u r i t y w h e e l b o l t s , p r e t i g h -
t e n t h e s e c u r i t y b o l t u s i n g t h e s o c -
ket 4 fi t t e d o n t h e w h e e l b r a c e 1 .
Retract the jack 2 a n d d i s e n g a g e i t .
Tighten the wheel bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 a n d t h e s e c u r i t y
bolts using the socket 4 .
Reposition the embellisher, com-
m e n c i n g b y p l a c i n g t h e s l o t a t
the valve, pressing it home with
t h e p a l m o f y o u r h a n d .
F o r v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h a l u m i - nium wheels, reclip the central
e m b e l l i s h e r i n p l a c e .
Stow the tools and the wheel in
t h e b o o t .
C h e c k t h e t y r e p r e s s u r e a n d
also have the wheel balancing

This repair kit is available from
CITROËN dealers.
It is designed to repair most punc-
tures which could affect the tyre, lo-
cated on the tyre tread or shoulder.
Avoid removing any foreign bodies
which have penetrated the tyre.
TEMPORARY PUNCTURE
REPAIR KIT
Complete system consisting of a
compressor and an incorporated
sealant cartridge which permits
tem-
porary repair of the tyre so that you
can drive to the nearest garage.
The kit is stowed in the boot below the
fl o o r . I t i s fi t t e d i n t h e t o o l b o x , l o c a t e d
below the storage compartment. Using the kit
This procedure, comprising several
steps, must be carried out in full.
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the selector A to the
"SEALANT" position.
Check that the switch B is in po-
sition "0" .
Connect the white pipe C to the
valve of the tyre to be repaired.
Connect the compressor's electric
plug to the vehicle's 12 V socket.

temporary use.
Start the vehicle and leave the
engine running.

If after around 5 to 7 minutes the
pressure is not attained, this indi-
cates that the tyre is not repaira-
ble; contact a CITROËN dealer for
assistance.
Switch on the compressor by
moving the switch B to position
"1" until the tyre pressure rea-
ches 2.0 bars.
Remove the kit, taking care to
avoid to avoid staining your vehi-
c l e w i t h t r a c e s o f fl u i d . K e e p t h e
kit to hand.
D r i v e i m m e d i a t e l y f o r a p p r o x i m a -
t e l y t h r e e m i l e s ( fi v e k i l o m e t r e s ) ,
at reduced speed (between 15
a n d 3 5 m p h [ 2 0 a n d 6 0 k m / h ] ) ,
to plug the puncture.
Stop to check the repair and the
tyre pressure using the kit.
Turn the selector A to the AIR
position.
Connect the black pipe D to the
valve of the wheel.

T h e e x p i r y d a t e o f t h e fl u i d i s i n d i -
cated on the cartridge.
The sealant cartridge is designed
for single use; even if only partly
used, it must be replaced.
To remove the cartridge, unscrew it
completely at its cap and pull off.
After use, do not discard the car-
tridge into the environment, take
it to an authorised waste disposal
site or a CITROËN dealer.
Do not forget to obtain a new
sealant cartridge, available from
CITROËN dealers.
Connect the compressor's elec-
tric plug to the vehicle's 12 V
socket.
Start the vehicle again and leave
the engine running.
Adjust the pressure using the
c o m p r e s s o r ( t o i n fl a t e : s w i t c h B
in position "1" ; t o d e fl a t e :
switch B in position "0" and
press button E ) , i n a c c o r d a n c e
with the vehicle's tyre pressure
label (located on the left hand
d o o r a p e r t u r e ) .
A loss of pressure indicates that the puncture has not been fully
plugged; contact a CITROËN
dealer for assistance.
Remove and stow the kit.
Drive at reduced speed (50 mph
[ 8 0 k m / h ] m a x ) l i m i t i n g t h e d i s -
t a n c e t r a v e l l e d t o a p p r o x i m a t e l y
1 2 0 m i l e s ( 2 0 0 k m ) .
Go to a CITROËN dealer
as soon as possible.
Have the tyre inspected by a
technician, who can then ad-
vise you whether it can be re-
paired or should be replaced. You can also use this kit for the
routine check and adjustment of
the tyre pressures on your vehicle
a n d t o i n fl a t e o t h e r i t e m s s u c h a s a
ball or bicycle tyre.

S A F E T Y
Storing the seat belt
(3-door model)
Raise then lock part A , to retain the
seat belt buckle when it is unfastened.
It is necessary to remove the seat
belt from the buckle retainer before
moving the seat to access the rear
seat positions.
As a safety measure, these opera-
tions should only be done when sta-
tionary. Rear seat belts
E a c h r e a r s e a t i s fi t t e d w i t h a t h r e e -
point inertia reel seat belt.
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the
tongue in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is faste-
ned correctly by pulling the strap.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Seat belt height adjustment
(5-door model)
When correctly adjusted, the seat
belt shoulder strap falls over the
middle of the shoulder.
To adjust the belt, squeeze the
control and slide it in the direc-
tion required.
Unfastening
To unfasten the belt, press on
the red button in the buckle.
The belt retracts automatically when
not in use.
