This system adjusts the height of the xenon headlamp  beams  automatically  and  when s
tationary,  according  to  the  load  in  the  vehicle,  so
 a
s  to  avoid  causing  a  nuisance  to  other  road  user.
If
 a  malfunction  occurs,  this  warning
 l
amp  is  displayed  in  the  instrument
 p
anel,  accompanied  by  an  audible
 s
ignal  and  a  message  in  the  screen.
The
 system  then  places  your
 h
eadlamps  in  the  lowest  position.
Do
 not  touch  the  xenon  bulbs.

Changing a bulb
The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate  glass  with  a  protective Â
c
oating:

o not clean them using a dr y
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
F

se  a  sponge  and  soapy  water  or  a Â
p
H  neutral  product,
F
Â
w
hen  using  a  high  pressure  washer Â
o
n  persistent  marks,  do  not  keep Â
t
he  lance  directed  towards  the Â
l
amps  or  their  edges  for  too  long, Â
s
o  as  not  to  damage  their  protective Â
c
oating
 a
nd
 sea
ls.
Changing
 a  bulb  should  only  be  done Â
a
fter  the  headlamp  has  been  switched Â
o
ff  for  several  minutes  (risk  of  serious Â
b
urns).

o  not  touch  the  bulb  directly  with Â
y
our  fingers,  use  a  lint-free  cloth.
It
 is  imperative  to  use  only  anti-
ultraviolet
 (UV)  type  bulbs  to  avoid Â
d
amaging
 t
he

eadlamp.
Always
 replace  a  failed  bulb  with  a Â
n
ew  bulb  with  the  same  type  and Â
s

F Remove the  air  deflector  by  unclipping  e
ach  of  its  three  attachment  points.

nclip  the  bonnet  release  cable  at  its Â
two
 fixings.

ove  the  cable  down.
After
 changing  the  failed  bulb,  remember  to Â
p
ut  everything  back  in  place  (cable  and  air Â
d
eflector).
Depending
 on  the  engine  and  only  on  the  left Â
h
and  side,  you  must  first  carry  out  the  following Â
o
perations for access to the protective covers
on  the  bulbs.

Rapid
 flashing  of  the  direction  indicator Â

arning  lamp  (right  or  left)  indicates  the Â
f
ailure  of  a  bulb  on  that  side.

For  the  replacement  of  this  type  of  LED  lamp, Â

he f inisher.

the  parking  sensor  stays  with  the  finisher).

emove  the  two  module  fixing  screws  and

emove  it  from  its  housing.

isconnect  the  bulb  holder  connector.

urn  the  bulb  holder  a  quarter  of  a  turn  and Â

xtract  it.

ull  the  bulb  and  change  it.
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse

Changing the side spotlamps
(LEDs)
For the replacement of this type of light emitting diode  lamp,  contact  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a Â

Changing integrated direction
indicator side repeaters
F Insert a  flat  screwdriver  towards  the  centre  o
f  the  repeater  between  the  repeater  and Â
t
he  base  of  the  mirror.
F
Â
T
ilt  the  flat  screwdriver  to  extract  the Â
r
epeater  and  remove  it.
F
Â
D
isconnect  the  repeater  connector.
To
 reassemble,  carry  out  these  operations  in Â
r
everse

rder.
Contact

orkshop  to  obtain  replacement  repeaters.

Amber bulbs, such as those for the direction  indicators,  must  be  replaced Â

 lamps  on  the  tailgate  are  dummy Â

nits.  They  are  there  for  aesthetic Â

urposes  only.
Rear lamps
Model with conventional lamps

1. Brake lamp / sidelamp (P21/5W).

 will  need  a  flat  screwdriver  and  a  10  mm Â

ner.
The
 four  bulbs  are  changed  from  inside  the Â

oot:

pen the boot,

emove  the  access  flap  from  the Â
c
orresponding  side  trim  panel,
F
Â
u
nclip  the  lamp  unit  connector,
F
Â
a
s  a  precaution,  place  a  cloth  in  the  bottom Â
o
f  the  housing  to  catch  the  nut  if  it  is Â
d
ropped  on  removal,
F
Â
s
lacken  the  hexagonal  nut  using  a  10  mm Â
b
ox  spanner  then  remove  the  nut  by  hand,
F
Â
c
arefully  remove  the  lamp  unit  by  pulling Â
o
ut  it  straight  out  towards  the  rear.

Take care to engage the lamp unit in its g
uides,  while  keeping  it  in  line  with  the Â

ehicle.
Tighten
 sufficiently  to  ensure  sealing, Â

ut  without  forcing,  so  as  to  avoid Â
d
amaging
 t
he
 lam
p.
