Remote control key
System which permits central unlocking or locking of the vehicle using the door lock or from a distance. It is also used to locate and start the vehicle, as well  as  providing  protection  against  theft.
Unlocking the vehicle

Don't
 forget  to  lock  the  boot  again  by Â

oor  lock  to  lock  the  vehicle.
The
 direction  indicators  flash  for  a Â

ew seconds.
Depending
 on  version,  the  door  mirrors  fold, Â

he  alarm  is  activated. If
 one  of  the  doors  or  the  boot  is  still Â
o
pen,  the  central  locking  does  not  take Â
p
lace.
However,  the  alarm  (if  present)  will Â
b
e  completely  activated  after  about  4
5Â seconds.
If  the  vehicle  is  unlocked  inadvertently Â
a
nd  with  no  action  on  the  doors  or Â
b
oot,  the  vehicle  will  lock  itself  again Â
a
utomatically  after  about  30  seconds.
If
 the  alarm  had  previously  been Â
a
ctivated,  it  will  not  be  reactivated Â
au
tomatically.

Deadlocking
 is  confirmed  by  fixed  lighting Â

f  the  direction  indicators  for  approximately Â

 to  version,  the  door  mirrors  fold  at Â

he  same  time.
In
 low  light,  deadlocking  also  brings  on  the Â
g
uide-me-home  lighting  (see  " Visibility").Deadlocking
 renders  the  exterior  and Â
i
nterior  door  controls  inoperative.
It  also  deactivates  the  central  locking Â
c
ontrol  button.
Therefore,  never  leave  anyone  inside Â
t
he  vehicle  when  it  is  deadlocked.

Locating your vehicle
Folding the key
F First press  this  button  to  fold  the  key.F Â

This  will  switch  on  the  courtesy  lamps  and Â
the  direction  indicators  will  flash  for  around Â

conds.
If  you  do  not  press  the  button  when Â

olding  the  key,  there  is  a  risk  of Â
d
amage  to  the  mechanism. This
 function  allows  you  to  identify  your  vehicle Â
f
rom  a  distance,  particularly  in  poor  light.  Your Â
v
ehicle  must  be  locked.
