Setting the time and the time
format in the instrument
panel with the clock
On the type 1 instrument panel (without audio system), to adjust the time, use buttons A and
B
then carry out the operations in the following
o
rder:
F
p

imultaneously:

he minutes flash,

press A
to increase the minutes or B to
reduce
the minutes,
F
p
ress buttons A and B
s
imultaneously:
t
he hours flash,
F
press A to increase the hours or B to
reduce the hours, After
approximately 30 seconds without any
a
ction, the screen returns to the normal display.On
the type 1 instrument panel (without audio
s
ystem), to change the display units, use
b
uttons A and B then carry out the operations
in the following order:

ress buttons A and B
s
imultaneously
fo
r
t
hree seconds: km/h or mph flashes,
F
p
ress button A or B to change the units,
F
p
ress buttons A and B simultaneously to
e
xit from setting units.
After approximately 30 seconds without any
a
ction, the screen returns to the normal display.

Fitting the towball
Remove the protective plug from the carrier and check the condition of the fixing system.
I
f necessary, clean the carrier with a brush or
clean
cloth.
Take
the towball from the storage bag.
Remove
the protective cover from the ball and
t
he protective cap from the locking wheel.
Stow
the plug, cover and cap in the
s
torage bag.
Check
that the towball is unlocked (position B).
I
f not, insert the key in the lock and turn the key
a
nti-clockwise to unlock the mechanism.Take
the towball in both hands; insert the end o
f the towball into the carrier by lifting it, then,
t
o ensure that it has correctly locked in place,
p
ull firmly down on the ball end of the towball.
The
locking wheel automatically turns a quarter
o
f a turn anti-clockwise, making a perceptible
c
lick; take care to keep your hands clear.Check
that the towball has correctly locked in p
lace (position A).
Turn
the key clockwise to lock the towball fixing
m
echanism.
Always
remove the key and keep it in a safe
p
lace.If
the key cannot be turned or removed,
t
his means that the towball is not fitted
c
orrectly; start the procedure again.
If
one of the locking conditions is not
m
et, start the procedure again.
In
all cases, if the marking remains
r
ed, do not use the towbar and contact
a
CITROËN dealer or a qualified
w
orkshop.

Attach the trailer to the towball.
A ttach the cable on the trailer to the security
ring
located on the carrier.
Lower
the trailer harness socket carrier by
p
ulling down on the ring visible below the
b
u m p e r.
Remove
the protective cover from the socket
a
nd connect the trailer wiring harness.
Removing the towball
Disconnect the trailer harness from the socket on the carrier.
Detach
the cable on the trailer from the security
r
ing on the carrier.
Unhook
the trailer from the towball.
Return the trailer harness connector carrier to
the
folded position. Insert
the key into the lock.
Turn the key anti-clockwise to unlock the
t
owball
f
ixing
m
echanism.

Maintenance
Correct operation is only possible if the towball
and its carrier remain clean.
Before
cleaning the vehicle with a high pressure
j
et wash, the towbar harness socket carrier must
b
e folded away, the towball removed and the
b
lanking plug inserted in the carrier.
For
any work on the towbar, got to a CITROËN
d
ealer or a qualified workshop.
Refit the protective cover for the ball and the
protective
cover
for
the
locking
wheel.
Stow
the
towball
in
its
bag.
Refit
the
protective
blanking
plug
to
the
carrier.
Grasp
the
towball
firmly
with
one
hand;
with
t
he
other
hand,
press
and
turn
the
locking
w
heel clockwise
as
far
as
it
will
go.
Extract
the
towball
downward.
Be
ready
for
the
weight
of
the
towball
(
around
3.5
kg).

the boot floor by attaching its cord

o
the
hook on the parcel shelf support.

nclip
the black plastic blanking plug using
i
ts
tab.
F
I
nsert
your fingers into the aperture and
t
urn
the
blue cap a 6
th of a turn anti-
clockwise.
F
C
arefully
lift
off
the
cap, without dropping it.
Never store bottles of AdBlue
® in your
vehicle. Before
topping-up, ensure that the vehicle is
p
arked on a flat and level sur face.
In wintry conditions, ensure that the
temperature of the vehicle is above -11°C.
O
therwise the AdBlue
® may be frozen and s
o
cannot
be
poured
into its tank. Park your
v
ehicle
in
a
warmer
area for a few hours to
a
llow
the
top-up
to
be
carried out.
AdBlue
® freezes at about -11°C and d
eteriorates above 25°C. It is recommended
t
hat bottles be stored in a cool area and
protected
from direct sunlight.
Under
these conditions, the additive can be
k
ept
for
at least a year.
If the additive has frozen, it can be used once it
has
completely thawed out.

hecking
the
use-by
date,
read carefully
t
he instructions on use on the label before
pouring
the
contents
of
the bottle into your
v
ehicle's
Ad
Blue
® tank. F
A
fter emptying the bottle, wipe away any
s
pillage around the tank filler using a damp
c
loth.
F
R
efit the blue cap to the tank and turn it a
6th of a turn clockwise, to its stop.
F
R
efit the black plastic blanking plug,
c
lipping it in on the flap
F
D
etach the cord from the parcel shelf
s
upport and lower the boot floor.
Important:
if
your
vehicle's
AdBlue®
tank
is
completely
empty
-
which
is
c
onfirmed
by
the
alert
displays
and
the
i
mpossibility
of
starting
the
engine
- you
m
ust
add
at
least
3.8
litres
(so
two
1.89 litre
bottles). If any additive is split or splashed, wash
immediately
w
ith
c
old
w
ater
o
r
w
ipe
w
ith
a
damp cloth.
If the additive has crystallised, clean it
off using a sponge and hot water.Important:
i
n the event of a top-up
after a breakdown because of a lack
of additive , you must wait around
5 minutes before switching on the
ig
nition,
w
ithout opening the
driver's door, locking the vehicle,
introducing the key into the ignition
switch, or introducing the key of the
"Keyless Entr y and Star ting" system
into the passenger compartment .
Switch on the ignition, then, after
10 seconds, start the engine.
Never dispose of AdBlue® additive
bottles
in
the
household
waste. Place
