Deactivating the passenger's 
front airbag
Only the passenger's front airbag can be deactivated.

 ith the ignition off ,
  insert   the   key   in   the  
p
assenger   airbag   deactivation   switch.
F

 urn it to the "OFF"
 p
 osition.
F

 emove   the   key   keeping   the   switch   in   the  
n
ew   position.When
  the   ignition   is   on,   this   warning  
l
amp   comes   in   the   seat   belt   warning  
l
amps   display   screen.   It   stays   on  
w
hile   the   airbag   is   deactivated. To
  assure   the   safety   of   your   child,  
t
he   passenger's   front   airbag   must   be  
d
eactivated   when   you   install   a   rear ward  
f
acing   child   seat   on   the   front   passenger  
sea
t.
Other wise,   the   child   would   risk   being  
s
eriously   injured   or   killed   if   the   airbag  
w
ere   deployed.
Reactivating the passenger's 
front airbag
When you remove a rearward facing 
child  sea
t, with the ignition off , turn the switch to 
the "ON"
 
position   to   reactivate   the   airbag   and  
s
o   assure   the   safety   of   your   front   passenger   in  
t
he   event   of   an   impact.
Front airbags
Deployment
The airbags are deployed, except the passenger's front   airbag   if   it   is   deactivated,   in   the   event   of   a s
erious   front   impact   to   all   or   part   of   the   front   impact
 z
one  A,
  in   the   longitudinal   centreline   of   the   vehicle
 o
n   a   horizontal   plane   and   directed   from   the   front   to
 t
he   rear   of   the   vehicle.
The
  front   airbag   inflates   between   the   thorax  
a
nd   head   of   the   front   occupant   of   the   vehicle  
a
nd   the   steering   wheel,   driver's   side,   and   the  
d
ashboard,   passenger's   side   to   cushion   their  
f
or ward   movement.
System
  which   protects   the   driver   and   front  
p
assenger   in   the   event   of   a   serious   front   impact  
i
n   order   to   limit   the   risk   of   injury   to   the   head   and  
t
horax.
The   driver's   airbag   is   fitted   in   the   centre   of   the  
s
teering   wheel;   the   front   passenger's   airbag  
i
s   fitted   in   the   roof   to   allow   more   space   in   the  
g
love   box.
When   the   ignition   is   switched   on,   this  
w
arning   lamp   comes   on   in   the   seat  
b
elt   warning   lamps   display   screen   for  
a
pproximately   one   minute   to   signal  
t
hat   the   front   airbag   is   activated.

Electric child lock
Switching on
F With  the   ignition   on,   press   this   button.
The   indicator   lamp   in   the   button   comes   on,  
a
ccompanied   by   a   message   to   confirm   that   the  
c
hild   lock   is   on.
This
  indicator   lamp   remains   on   until   the   child  
l
ock   is   switched   off.
It
  is   still   possible   to   open   the   doors   from   the  
o
utside.
Switching off
F With   the   ignition   on,   press   this   button  ag
ain.
The
  indicator   lamp   in   the   button   goes   off,  
a
ccompanied   by   a   message   to   confirm   that   the  
c
hild   lock   is   off.
This
  indicator   lamp   remains   off   while   the   child  
l
ock   is   switched   off.
Remote
 
control
 
system
 
to
 
prevent
 
opening
 
of
 
the
 
rear   doors   using   their   interior   controls.
Any   other   status   of   the   indicator   lamp  i
ndicates   a   fault   with   the   electric   child  l
ock.
Have
  it   checked   by   a   CITROËN   dealer  
o
r   a   qualified   workshop.
This
  system   is   independent   and   in   no  
c
ircumstances   does   it   take   the   place   of  
t
he   central   locking   control.
Check
  the   status   of   the   child   lock   each  
t
ime   you   switch   on   the   ignition.
Always
  remove   the   key   from   the   ignition  
w
hen   leaving   the   vehicle,   even   for   a  
s
hort   time.

When the low fuel level is reached, t

anel   comes   on,   accompanied   by

n   audible   warning,   a   message   and

he   last   bar   of   the   fuel   gauge   flashes

n   red.
To
  refuel   in   complete   safety:

 ou must switch off the engine.

 pen   the   filler   flap.

  label   on   the   inside   of   the   fuel   filler   flap  r
eminds   you   of   the   type   of   fuel   to   use,

epending   on   your   engine   type.
Additions
  of   fuel   must   be   of   at   least   5   litres   to  
b
e   registered   by   the   fuel   gauge.
When
 
it
 
first   comes   on,   about 5 litres of fuel 
remain
 
in
 
the   tank.
Until
 
sufficient   fuel   has   been   added,   this  
w
arning
 
lamp   appears   every   time   the   ignition  
i
s
 
switched   on,   accompanied   by   an   audible  
w
arning
 
and   a   message.   This   audible   warning  
a
nd
 
message   are   repeated   with   increasing  
f
requency
  as   the   fuel   level   drops   towards   "0 ".
Refuel
 
as
  soon   as   possible   to   avoid  
r
unning out. Opening
  the   filler   cap   may   result   in   an   inrush   of  
a
ir.   This   is   entirely   normal   and   results   from   the  
s
ealing   of   the   fuel   system.
With Stop & Start, never refuel with the 
system
  in   STOP   mode;   you   must   switch  
o
ff   the   ignition   with   the   key.
If
 
you   run   out   of   fuel   (Diesel),   refer  
a
lso   to   the   section   "Running   out   of   fuel  
(D
iesel)". F

 ake   care   to   select   the   pump   that   delivers

he   correct   type   of   fuel   for   your   vehicle.

Running out of fuel (Diesel)
On vehicles fitted with HDi engines, the fuel system   must   be   primed   if   you   run   out   of   fuel.

F Fill  the   fuel   tank   with   at   least   five   litres   of  d

 f   necessary,   unclip   the   styling   cover   for

ccess   to   the   priming   pump.

epeatedly   until   resistance   is   felt   (there

 perate   the   starter   until   the   engine   starts

When switching on the ignition, an indicator gives   an   estimate   of   the   distance   that   can

e   travelled   with   your   vehicle   before   engine

ehicle   starts   using   the   reserve   of   AdBlue
® or
