Changing a fuse

The  replacement  of  a  fuse  not  shown  in Â

alfunction  of  your  vehicle.  Contact Â

Changing a fuse
The extraction tweezer is fitted to the back of t
he  cover  of  the  dashboard  fuseboxes.
Access to the tools
To replace a fuse, you must:
F  u se  the  special  tweezer  to  extract  the  fuse Â
f
rom  its  housing  and  check  the  condition  of Â
it
s
 f
ilament.
F
Â
a
lways  replace  the  failed  fuse  with  a  fuse Â
o
f  the  same  rating  (same  colour);  using Â
a
 different  rating  could  cause  faults  (risk Â
o
f  fire).
If
 the  fuse  fails  again  soon  after  replacement, Â
h
ave  the  vehicle's  electrical  system  checked  by Â
a
 CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified  workshop.

12Â VÂ battery
The battery is located under the bonnet.
F or  access  to  the  (+)  terminal:

hen  the  exterior  safety  catch,

aise  the  bonnet  and  secure  it  with  its  stay,

ift the plastic cover for access to
the
 (+)  terminal.
Access to the battery
Procedure for starting the engine using another battery or charging a discharged battery.
T he presence of this label, in particular
with
 the  Stop  &  Start  system,  indicates Â
t
he  use  of  a  12  V  lead-acid  battery  with Â
s
pecial
 t
echnology
 a
nd
 s
pecification;
 t
he  involvement  of  a  CITROËN  dealer Â
o
r  a  qualified  workshop  is  essential Â
w
hen  replacing  or  disconnecting Â
t
he battery.
After
 refitting  the  battery,  the  Stop  &
 S
tart  system  will  only  be  active  after  a
 c
ontinuous  period  of  immobilisation  of  the
 v
ehicle,  a  period  which  depends  on  the
 c
limatic  conditions  and  the  state  of  charge
 o
f  the  battery  (up  to  about  8  hours).
Before doing any work
Immobilise the vehicle: apply the parking  brake,  put  the  gearbox  in Â
n
eutral,  then  switch  off  the  ignition.
Check
 that  all  electrical  equipment  is Â
s
witched  off.
