CONSULTING OF MESSAGES
The fi lters enable you to select the types of information which you wish to receive.This menu gives you access:To the geographical fi lter: information concerning incidents situated around your vehicle, around a given location and/or on an itinerary (radius of 3 to 200 km),To road information: information con-cerning road incidents such as traf fi c, road closures, height /width limitations, state of the roadway or weather condi-t i o n s (d e p e n d i n g o n t h e i n f o r m a t i o n available).To urban traffi c information: information concerning the town where you are, such as parking, public transport and demon-strations (depending on the information available).The fi lters can be cumulative.If no fi lter is selected, all the TMC information will be displayed.

Selection of a pre- defi ned musical ambiance automatically adjusts bass and treble. Select the musical ambiance “None” to personalise your adjustment of bass and treble.Adjustments of loudness, bass and treble (when they are available) are specifi c to each source.The sound volume is automatically corrected as a function of vehicle speed, provided the facility has been activated.
Press button SoURCE.
Rotate the control or use the buttons at the steering B and C to increase or decrease the volume.

CONFIGURING THE DISPLAY OF YOUR NAVIDRIVE
Choose the colour of the display.
Adjust the brightness of the display.
Adjust the date and the time and defi ne the format 12H or 24H.
Choose a feminine voice or a masculine voice and adj ust the voice synthesiser volume.

WHAT IS THE VIDEO MENU ?
The Video menu comprises the functions for adjusting t he video on your Navidrive.

Select a display format (16/9 or 4/3).SETTING THE VIDEO PARAMETERS
Adjust the brightness of the display.
Adjust the contrast on the display.
If you have equipment connected on the audio/video sockets, activation of video mode cuts the audio source currently being listened to. Press on but ton SOURCE to reactivate any other audio source.To view t he imag es, t he equip ment has to emit a signal and the vehicle must be stationar y. While the vehicle is in motion, only the sound is available.
To use this source, activate the video mode.The vid eo can be used if the vehicle speed is less than 5 km/h.

There is a discrepancy in sound quality between the different audio sources (radio, Cd, Cd changer etc.).
To achieve an optimum listening quality, the audio a djustments (Volume, Bass, Treble, Ambiance, Loudness) can be ad apted to each of the dif ferent sound sourc es, which c an produc e audible shif ts when you change the sourc e (radio, C d, Cd changer etc.).
Check that the AUdio adjustments ( Volume, Bass, Treble, Ambiance and Loudness) are adapted to your wishes for each of the audio sources.
The Cd immediately ejects.The Cd is the wrong way up, is unplayable, does not con tain audio data or contains an audio format that the radio cannot play back.
Check that you have inser ted the Cd the right way up in the Cd player.
Check the condition of the Cd: the Cd cannot be played back if it is too damaged.
Check the contents if it is a burnt Cd: refer to the advice given in the chapter on Audio System.
For reasons of poor quality, some burnt Cds will not be played back by the audio system.
The Cd changer does not play back dVds.
The Cd changer does not play back MP3 Cds.
T h e C d p l a y e r s o u n d i s d o w n -graded.The Cd is scratched or of poor quality.inser t only Cds of good quality and keep them in good condition.
The pre-set stations do not work (no sound, 87,5 Mhz is displayed, etc.).The waveband selected is not the correct one.Press on the BANd button to retrieve the waveband (AM,FM1, FM2, FMAST) where the stations are memo-rised.
Traf fi c Announcements ( TA) is dis-played. I do not receive any traffi c infor-mation or public announcements.
The par ticular radio station is not in the regional traf fi c informa-tion network.Change to a radio station that does broadcast traf fi c information.

The rec eption qualit y of the radio station being listened to gradually deteriorates.
The vehicle is too distant from the transmitter, or no transmitter is present in the geographical area you are passing th rough.
Activate the RdS function to allow the system to chec k whether a more power ful transmitter is to be found in the geographical area.
The environment (hills, high buildings, tunnels, underground car parks, etc.) is blocking reception, even in RdS mode.This phenomenon is normal and does not imply anythi ng wrong with the radio.
The aerial is absent or has been damaged (for example after going through a car wash or in an underground car park).Have the aerial checked by a CiTRoËN dealer.
When the engine is not running, the radio stops after a few minutes.
When the engine is switched off, the working time fo r the radio depends on the batter y charge. The interruption is nor mal: the radio goes into economy mode, cutting off in order to save the vehicle’s batter y.
You have to star t the engine so as to increase the bat-ter y charge.

in order to protect the audio equipment in excessiv e ambient temperatures, the radio goes into an automatic thermic protection mode which results in a reduction in sound volume or stopping of the Cd player.
Switch off the audio system for a few minutes in order to allow the system to cool down.
Why is one not informed in real time of a hold-up on the route even though the option for guidance by “traffi c info” is activated ?
When you star t up, the system takes a few minutes to c apture the traf fi c information via RDS-TMC.Wait for the traf fi c information to be safely received (pictogrammes displayed on the map) and make sure that you use the major ar terial roads to have “inform ed” navigation.

It may happen that a hold-up is not repor ted by the tr af fi c info provider.
Why is a diversion not suggested when I have selected traf fi c info ?
Do not confuse the “traf fi c info” guidance option which can sug-gest a diversion (the “diver t” button appears in the w indow) with the menus “Display of traf fi c messages” or “Reading of traf fi c messages” which af fect only the display without recalculating the itinerar y (no “diver t” button in the window).
To have “informed” navigation with the detour proposi-tion, it is essential to activate the guidance option with “traf fi c info”.
