Under-inflation detection
The system monitors the pressures in the four t
yres,  once  the  vehicle  is  moving.
It
compares  the  information  given  by  the  four Â
w
heel  speed  sensors  with  reference values,
which must be reinitialised ever y time the
tyre pressures are adjusted or a wheel
changed .
The
system  triggers  an  alert  as  soon  as  it Â
d
etects  a  drop  in  the  inflation  pressure  of  one Â
o
r  more  tyres. The
 under-inflation  detection  system Â
d
oes  not  replace  the  vigilance  or  the Â
r
esponsibility  of  the  driver.
This
system  does  not  avoid  the  need  to Â
c
heck  the  tyre  pressures  (including  the Â
s
pare  wheel)  every  month  as  well  as Â
b
efore  a  long  journey.
Driving
 with  under-inflated  tyres  impairs Â
r
oad  holding,  extends  braking  distances Â
a
nd  causes  premature  tyre  wear, Â
p
articularly  under  arduous  condition Â
(
high  loading,  high  speed,  long  journey).
System
which  automatically  checks  the  pressures  of  the  tyres  while  driving.
The  inflation  pressures  defined  for Â
y
our  vehicle  can  be  found  on  the  tyre Â
p
ressure  label.
See
 the  "Identification  markings" Â
s
ection.
Tyre
 pressures  should  be  checked Â
w
hen  the  tyres  are  "cold"  (vehicle Â
s
topped  for  1  hour  or  after  a  journey  of Â
l
ess  than  6  miles  (10  km)  at  moderate Â
s
peeds).
Other wise
(when  hot),  add  0.3  bar  to Â
t
he  pressures  shown  on  the  label.
Driving
 with  under-inflated  tyres Â
i
ncreases  fuel  consumption.

This is given by fixed illumination of t

Dynamic stability control (DSC)
and anti-slip regulation (ASR)Activation
These systems are activated automatically each  time  the  vehicle  is  started.
As
soon  as  they  detect  a  problem  of  grip  or Â
t
rajectory,  these  systems  act  on  the  operation  if Â
t
he  engine  and  brakes.
Deactivation
In exceptional conditions (starting a vehicle which  is  bogged  down,  stuck  in  snow,  on  soft Â
g
round...),  it  may  be  advisable  to  deactivate Â
t
he  DSC  and  ASR,  so  that  the  wheels  can  turn Â
f
reely  and  regain  grip.

This
indicator  lamp  and  the  indicator Â
l
amp  in  the  button  come  on.
The
DSC  and  ASR  systems  no  longer  act Â
o
n  the  operation  of  the  engine  and  on  the Â
b
rakes  in  the  event  of  a  involuntary  change  of Â
t
rajectory.
DSC/ASR
The DSC and ASR systems offer increased s afety  in  normal  driving,  but  they  should  not Â
e
ncourage  the  driver  to  take  extra  risks  or  drive Â
a
t  high  speed.
It
is  in  conditions  of  reduced  grip  (rain,  snow, Â
i
ce)  that  the  risk  of  loss  of  grip  increases. Â
I
t  is  therefore  important  for  your  safety  to Â
k
eep  the  DSC  and  ASR  systems  activated Â
i
n  all  conditions,  and  particularly  in  difficult Â
c
onditions. The
correct  operation  of  these  systems Â
d
epends  on  observation  of  the  manufacturer's Â
r
ecommendations  regarding  as  much  the Â
w
heels  (tyres  and  rims),  braking  and  electronic Â
c
omponents  as  the  assembly  and  repair Â
p
rocedures  used  by  CITROËN  dealers.
To  benefit  in  full  from  the  effectiveness  of  the Â
D
SC  and  ASR  systems  in  wintry  conditions, Â
t
he  vehicle  must  be  fitted  with  four  snow Â
t
yres,  allowing  the  the  vehicle  to  retain  neutral Â
b
ehaviour  on  the  road.

Towing the vehicle
The towing eye is installed in the boot under the  floor.
To
 gain  access  to  it:
F
o
pen the boot,
F
Â
l
ift  the  floor  and  remove  it,
F
Â
r
emove  the  towing  eye  from  its  housing.
General recommendations
Observe the legislation in force in your country.
E nsure  that  the  weight  of  the  towing  vehicle  is  higher  than  that  of  the  towed  vehicle.
The
driver  must  remain  at  the  wheel  of  the  towed  vehicle  and  must  have  a  valid  driving  licence.
When
towing  a  vehicle  with  all  four  wheels  on  the  ground,  always  use  an  approved  towing Â
a
rm;  rope  and  straps  are  prohibited.
The
towing  vehicle  must  move  off  gently.
When
towing  a  vehicle  with  the  engine  off,  there  is  no  longer  any  power  assistance  for Â
b
raking  or  steering.
In
the  following  cases,  you  must  always  call  on  a  professional  recovery  service:
-
Â
v
ehicle  broken  down  on  a  motor way  or  fast  road,
-
Â
f
our-wheel  drive  vehicle,
-
Â
w
hen  it  is  not  possible  to  put  the  gearbox  into  neutral,  unlock  the  steering,  or  release Â
t
he  parking  brake,
-
Â
t
owing  with  only  two  wheels  on  the  ground,
-
Â
w
