ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS
While the vehicle is stationary, unlock the steering wheel by push-ing the lever forward.
Adjust the height and the reach of the steering wheel, then lock the position by pulling the lever upwards.

AUTOMATIC LIGHTING OF HEADLAMPS
Sidelamps and dipped beams come on automatically in poor ambient light, or if the wipers are in continuous operation. They go out as soon as the a m b i e n t l i g h t a g a i n b e c o m e s u f fi c i e n t o r w h e n t h e w i p e r s c e a s e t o o p e r a t e .
Activation/deactivation of this function is possible in the menu “Personalisa- t i o n / C o n fi g u r a t i o n ” i n t h e “ M a i n m e n u ” .Note: Activation of this function is immediate while deactivation re quires the ignition to be switched off.
Take care not to cover the brightness sensor, which is visible from out-side the windscreen, behind the interior rear view mirror.
GUIDE-ME-HOME LIGHTING
This function switches on your headlamps, to light your way when you wish to walk from a carpark, for example.
This function is activated:Manually by pulling the con-trol A towards you, with the ignition switched off.Automatically, provided:
The automatic lighting of headlamps is activated.To activate the guide-me-home lighting function, select in the “Main menu”, then in “Personalisation/Configura-tion”, the sub-menu for light-ing and signalling, then acti-vate the function.
See “Multifunction display”.Note: It is possible to modify the duration of the guide-me-home lighting (approx. 60, 30 or 15 sec-onds) in the menu “Personalisa- t i o n / C o n fi g u r a t i o n ” .

DRIVING POSITIONS MEMO-RISED VIA BUTTONS 1 AND 2
To memorise a driving position:a. Place the igntion key in “Drive” p o s i t i o n ( s e c o n d p o s i t i o n ) .b. Make your adjustments of the seat, the steering wheel, the rear view mirrors and the Head-up Display.c. Press successively on button M then on button 1 ( fi r s t d r i v i n g p o s i t i o n ) o r 2 (second driving p o s i t i o n ) .
T h e m e m o r i s a t i o n i s c o n fi r m e d b y a sound signal.Note: The memorisation of a new driving position cancels and replaces the previous one.

ELECTRIC EXTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRRORS
Features
The end of the glass in the exte-rior rear view mirrors is aspherical, s o a s t o e n l a r g e t h e l a t e r a l fi e l d o f vision.
Objects observed in the aspheri-cal part of the rear view mirrors are in reality closer than they appear.
You must take this into account in order to be properly aware of the distances involved.
Adjustment of the rear view mirrors
This can operate when the ignition is switched on.
The driver selects the rear view mirror by moving control 1, to the left or to the right, then adjusts the mirror in the four directions by acting on control 2.
Demisting-deicing of the rear view mirrors is linked with that fo r the rear screen.
The adjustments you have made to the rear view mirrors are included in the memorisation of driving positions. See “Memorisation”.
Fold-back of door mirrors
When the vehicle is parked, the door mirrors can be folded back either man-ually or electrically.
Electric fold-back
From the central position, one press towards the rear on control 1 folds the rear view mirrors back.
To return them to the initial position, press again on control 1 towards the rear.
Automatic fold-back
Automatic fold-back operates when you lock the doors.

H E A D - U P D I S P L A Y
The Head-up display projects essential driving data into the d r i v e r ' s fi e l d o f v i s i o n . T h i s e n a b l e s the driver never to take his eyes off the road.
ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION
To activate/deactivate the Head-up display: when you switch on the ignition, press on button 1.
The function status (activated/deac- t i v a t e d ) w h e n y o u s t o p t h e e n g i n e is retained when you restart.
ADJUSTMENTS OF THE HEAD-UP DISPLAY
Height adjustment
To adjust the height for the Head-up display, press on buttons 2 and 3.
It is recommended to adjust it as low as possible.
Brightness adjustment
The Head-up display has a bright-ness sensor so that the information can be seen to the best advantage, whatever the ambient brightness.
You can enhance the display brightness at any time by rotating the control 1.
Note:In certain extreme weather con-ditions (rain and/or snow, strong sunlight), the Head-up display may be momentarily subject to interference.
When emerging from a tunnel, there is a certain delay before the system can re-adapt the display brightness to the out-side conditions.
Remark: Certain types of specta-cles may disperse the light coming from the Head-up display.
There is memorisation of driving positions as well as those for the Head-up dis-play
The adjustments you have made for the Head-up display are adopted alongside the driving posi-tion memorisations (see “Memori- s a t i o n ” ) : t h e y a r e :Height adjustment.

Remarks:When starting from cold, in order to prevent unwanted c o l d a i r , t h e a i r fl o w w i l l i n c r e a s e o n l y g r a d u a l l y t o i t s optimum level.
If you enter the vehicle after a fairly prolonged stop Ifand the temperature inside the vehicle is far from comfortable, it serves no purpose to modify the tem-perature that is displayed as an attempt to go imme-diately to the desired comfort level. The system automatically uses all of its power to compensate the temperature gap as quickly as possible.
Remarks:Water arising from the condensation in the air con-aterditioning drains out through a hole provided for this purpose ; a pool of water may thus form underneath the vehicle when stationary.
Whatever the time of year, even in cool weather the Whateverair conditioning is useful in removing humidity and misting.You are advised to have the air conditioning sys-tem checked on a regular basis. See “Maintenance Guide”.
If you are towing a heavy trailer and outside tem-Ifperatures are high, the air conditioning may be tem-porarily paused if the engine cooling requires this.

DISPLAY AND SELECTION OF A STATION AVAILABLE IN THE AREA IN WHICH YOU ARE TRAVELLING

You can also update this list at any time by giving a long press on but-ton G.
To listen to one of these stations, select by pressing buttons J or Mand validate using button L.
MANUAL PRE-SETTING
Select the waveband and memory bank required using button R.
Select a station using either auto-matic or manual search.
Keep pressing for more than two seconds on one of the pre-selection buttons 1 to 6 on the keypad P.
The sound momentarily cuts off, then returns to its previous level to c o n fi r m t h a t i t h a s m e m o r i s e d t h e station.

AUTOMATIC MEMORISA-TION OF TRANSMITTERS (AUTOSTORE FUNCTION)
In FM, if you hold down button Rfor more than two seconds, your radio will automatically memorise the 6 strongest stations on the FM3 memory bank.
The display shows “FM AST”.
The radio memorises the 6 strong-est transmitters, deleting the 6 pre-viously memorised.
After the memorisation, the radio goes directly to memory 1 of mem-ory bank FM3.Note:If t h e t r a f fi c i n f o r m a t i o n f u n c -Iftion has been activated (see R D S S Y S T E M ) , t h e s t a t i o n s offering this facility will be mem-orised as priority.
If it is unable to memorise any Ifnew stations, the system will retain the previously memo-rised stations.If t h e s y s t e m i s u n a b l e t o fi n d If 6 s t a t i o n s , t h e u n fi l l e d m e m o r y slots will remain free.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IN ORDER TO USE THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM ?
You have to initialise the navigation sys-tem: w h e n y o u fi r s t u s e t h e n a v i g a t i o nfollowing a battery disconnection.Park the vehicle in the open air so that it can make contact with a satellite.Place the ignition key in the “Ignition” position for 15 minutes. I f t h e n a v i g a t i o n s y s t e m h a s d i f fi c u l t y i n receiving its GPS positioning from satel-lites, this may be caused by the presence of bridges, underground carparks, etc., which may temporarily interfere with vehi-cle location or guidance calculation.

The telephone function consists of a GSM telephone incorporated in NaviDrive.It has a “Hands-free” function, provided by a microphone located in the front interior lamp and controls at the steering wheel for accessing the majority of operations.
As wit h any mobil e t el ephone, t his t el ep hon e op er at e s t hanks to b ot h cellular and terrestrial networks. For this reason, it cannot guarantee a con-nection in all cases.
Do not allow yourself to be distracted while you are driving.I t i s e s s e n t i a l t o c o m p l y w i t h t h e national legislation in force.Stop the vehicle if you wish to pursue a telephone conversation or proceed w i t h c e r t a i n a c t i o n s (c o m p o si n g a number for example).
Apart from during a communication, it indi-cates to you:the presence of voice messages or text messages (S M S) that have not been read,the communication time since the last update,the level of reception of the networks.
Dur ing a c ommunic ation, it indic ates to you:the time elapsed since the star t of the communication,the number (provided the option and the service are available),the name of your correspondant (if this is recorded in the directory),the level of reception of the network.
