Travelling abroad

For motoring in countries that drive on the other s
ide  of  the  road,  it  is  necessary  to  adjust  the Â

Pull the wiper stalk towards you. The  windscreen  wash,  then  the  windscreen Â

ipers,  operate  for  a  pre-determined  time.

Automatic rain sensitive
windscreen wipers
The windscreen wipers operate automatically, without  any  action  on  the  part  of  the  driver,  if Â
r
ain  is  detected  (sensor  behind  the  rear  view Â
m
irror),  adapting  their  speed  to  the  intensity  of Â
t
he  rainfall.
Activation
This is controlled manually by the driver by pushing s talk A to the "AUTO" p osition.
It
 is  accompanied  by  the  illumination Â
o
f  this  indicator  lamp  in  the Â
i
nstrument  panel  and  a  message  in Â
t
he  multifunction  screen.
Switching off
This is controlled manually by the driver by  moving  stalk  A  upwards,  returning  it  to Â
p
osition
"0".
It
 is  accompanied  by  the  indicator  lamp
 i
n  the  instrument  panel  going  off  and  a
 m
essage  in  the  multifunction  screen.The
 automatic  wiping  must  be  r
eactivated  if  the  ignition  has  been  off Â
f
or  more  than  one  minute,  by  pushing Â

talk  A  downwards.

Operating fault
If an automatic wiping fault occurs, the wipers will  operate  in  intermittent  mode.
Have
 it  checked  by  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a Â

ualified

orkshop.
To retain the effectiveness of the flat
wiper
 blades,  it  is  advisable  to:

andle  them  with  care,

lean  them  regularly  using  soapy Â

ater,

ot  use  them  to  hold  a  sheet  of Â

ardboard  against  the  windscreen,

eplace  them  at  the  first  signs  of Â

Do
 not  cover  the  rain  sensor,  linked Â
w
ith  the  sunshine  sensor  and  located  in Â
t
he  centre  of  the  windscreen  behind  the Â
r
ear  view  mirror.
Switch
 off  the  automatic  wiping  when Â
u
sing  an  automatic  car  wash.
In
 winter,  it  is  advisable  to  wait  until  the Â
w
indscreen  is  completely  clear  of  ice Â
b
efore  activating  the  automatic  wiping.This
 position  allows  the  wiper  blades  to Â
b
e  lifted  for  winter  parking,  cleaning  or Â
r
eplacement  without  damaging  the  bonnet.
In
 the  minute  following  switching  off  of  the Â
i
gnition,  any  action  on  the  wiper  stalk  positions Â
t
he  wipers  vertically.
To
 park  the  wipers  after  this  has  been  done,
 s
witch  on  the  ignition  and  operate  the  wiper  stalk.

- with the engine running, unlimited.

At night, the illumination of footwells and the central  dashboard  storage  compartment  comes Â

Switching off
The interior mood lighting switches off automatically  when  the  sidelamps  are Â

 off.

 can  be  switched  off  manually  using  the Â

nstrument  panel  lighting  rheostat  button.
