On vehicles fitted with an electric oil level indicator, information on the oil level is
d
isplayed in the instrument panel for a few
s
econds when the ignition is switched on,
a
fter the service information.
Engine oil level indicator*
The level shown will only be correct
if the vehicle is on level ground and
t
he engine has been off for more than
3
0 minutes.
Oil level correct
Oil level low
This is indicated by the flashing of " O I L" ,
a ccompanied by illumination of the service
w
arning lamp, an audible signal and a
m
essage.
If
the low oil level is confirmed by a check using
t
he dipstick, the level must be topped up to
p
revent damage to the engine.
Refer
to the "Checking levels" section.
Oil level indicator fault
This is signaled by the flashing of "OIL- -".
C ontact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
w
orkshop.
In the event of a fault with the electric oil level
indicator,
the engine oil level is no longer
mon
itored.
While
the system is faulty, you should check
t
he engine oil level using the manual dipstick
l
ocated under the bonnet.

The total and trip distances are displayed for thirty seconds when the ignition is switched off,

hen the driver's door is opened and when the

ehicle is locked or unlocked.

It measures the total distance travelled by the vehicle since its first registration.
When
travelling
abroad,
you
may
h
ave
to
change
the
units
of
distance:

he
display
of
road
speed
must
be
in
t
he
official
units
(miles
or
km)
for
the
c
ountry.
The
change
of
units
is
done
v
ia
the
screen
configuration
menu,
with
t
he
vehicle
stationary.
Trip distance recorder
It measures the distance travelled since it was r
eset to zero by the driver.

When driving at night, this function allows certain displays in the instrument panel to be

witched off so as to reduce fatigue for the

river.
The
essential driving information, such as the

peed of the vehicle, warning lamps, cruise

ontrol or speed limiter information, remain

isplayed in the instrument panel.
Activation
F With the lighting on, press the left hand b
utton of the instrument panel several

imes to progressively reduce the

ashboard lighting level.

ighting to the minimum level and switch off

he interior mood lighting.

Radio- Cd
With the Audio system switched on, once the "Radio- CD" menu has been selected you can

ctivate or deactivate the functions associated

ith use of the radio (RDS, REG), or the CD

introscan, shuffle, CD repeat).

Vehicle configuration
Once the " Vehicle Configuration" menu has been selected, you can activate or deactivate

he following equipment:

Options
Once the "Options" menu has been selected, you can start diagnostics of the status of the

quipment (active, not active, faulty).
This menu is also used to reinitialise the tyre under-inflation detection system (refer to the

Languages
Once the "Languages" menu has been selected, you can change the language used by the s
creen by choosing one from a defined list.
Units
Once the "Units" menu has been selected, you can change the units of the following
par
ameters:

emperature (°C or °F),

uel consumption (l/100 km, mpg or km/l).
Once
the fuel consumption units have

een set to mpg, the information in the

nstrument panel screen on speed and

istance will also be in mph and miles.
As
a safety measure, configuration by

he driver of the multifunction screen

hould only be done when stationary.
