The temporary illumination of the dipped beam headlamps after the vehicle's ignition has been
s
witched off makes the driver's exit easier
w
hen the light is poor.
Switching on
F With the ignition off, "flash" the headlamps u
sing the lighting stalk.
F
A
further "headlamp flash" switches the
f
unction off.
Switching off
The manual guide-me-home lighting switches off automatically after a set time.
Manual guide-me-home
lighting
The sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps are switched on automatically, without any
a
ction on the part of the driver, when a low level
o
f external light is detected or in certain cases
o
f activation of the windscreen wipers.
As
soon as the brightness returns to an
a
dequate level or after the windscreen wipers
a
re switched off, these lamps are switched off
a
utomatically and the daytime running lamps
c
ome on.

LED daytime running lampsThis daytime lighting, a signature of the vehicle, comprises two sets of light-emitting diodes
(
LEDs), located in vertical housings below each
h
eadlamp.
On
starting the vehicle, in daylight the daytime
r
unning lamps come on automatically, if the
l
ighting stalk is in position "0" or "AUTO" .
If
the sidelamps and headlamps are switched
o
n manually or automatically, the daytime
r
unning lamps go off.

Automatic
guide-me-home
lighting
When the automatic illumination of headlamps f
unctions is activated, if the ambient light level
i

w
hen switching off the ignition.
Settings
Activation and deactivation, as well as the duration of the guide-me-home lighting can
b
e set in the vehicle configuration or settings
m
enu (except for the monochrome screen A,
f
or which the duration is fixed at 60 seconds).

Automatic rain sensitive
windscreen wipers
The windscreen wipers operate automatically, without any action on the part of the driver, if
r
ain is detected (sensor behind the rear view
m
irror), adapting their speed to the intensity of
t
he rainfall.
Activation
This is controlled manually by the driver by pushing s talk A to the "AUTO" p osition.
It is accompanied by the illumination of this indicator lamp in the instrument panel and a
message in the multifunction screen.
Switching off
This is controlled manually by the driver by moving stalk A upwards, returning it to
p
osition
"0".
It
is accompanied by the indicator lamp
i
n the instrument panel going off and a
m
essage in the multifunction screen.The
automatic wiping must be r
eactivated if the ignition has been off
f
or more than one minute, by pushing
s
talk A downwards.

Operating fault
If an automatic wiping fault occurs, the wipers will operate in intermittent mode.
Have
it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a
q
ualified
w
orkshop.
To retain the effectiveness of the flat
wiper
blades, it is advisable to:
-
h
andle them with care,
-
c
lean them regularly using soapy
w
ater,
-
n
ot use them to hold a sheet of
c
ardboard against the windscreen,
-
r
eplace them at the first signs of
w
e a r.
Do
not cover the rain sensor, linked
w
ith the sunshine sensor and located in
t
he centre of the windscreen behind the
r
ear view mirror.
Switch
off the automatic wiping when
u
sing an automatic car wash.
In
winter, it is advisable to wait until the
w
indscreen is completely clear of ice
b
efore activating the automatic wiping.This
position allows the wiper blades to
b
e lifted for winter parking, cleaning or
r
eplacement without damaging the bonnet.
In
the minute following switching off of the
i
gnition, any action on the wiper stalk positions
t
he wipers vertically.
To
park the wipers after this has been done,
s
witch on the ignition and operate the wiper stalk.

Under-inflation detection
System which automatically checks the pressures of the tyres while driving.
T he under-inflation detection system
d
oes not replace the need for vigilance
o
n the part of the driver.
This
system does not avoid the need to
c
heck the tyre pressures (including the
s
pare wheel) every month as well as
b
efore a long journey.
Driving
with under-inflated tyres
i
mpairs road holding, extends braking
d
istances and causes premature
t
yre wear, particularly under arduous
c
ondition (high loading, high speed,
lon
g
jo
urney).The
inflation pressures defined for
y
our vehicle can be found on the tyre
p
ressure label.
For
more information on the
i
dentification markings, refer to the
c
orresponding
s
ection.
Tyre
pressures should be checked
w
hen the tyres are "cold" (vehicle
s
topped for 1 hour or after a journey of
l
ess than 6 miles (10 km) at moderate
s
peeds).
Other wise
(when hot), add 0.3 bar to
t
he pressures shown on the label.
Driving
with under-inflated tyres
i
ncreases fuel consumption.
The
system monitors the pressures in the four
t
yres, once the vehicle is moving.
It
compares the information given by the four
w
heel speed sensors with reference values,
which must be reinitialised ever y time the
tyre pressures are adjusted or a wheel
changed .
The
system triggers an alert as soon as it
d
etects a drop in the inflation pressure of one
o
r more tyres.

Active City Brake
Active City Brake is a driving assistance system that aims to avoid a frontal collision
o
r reduce the speed of an impact if the driver
d
oes not react sufficiently (inadequate brake
a
pplication). This
system is designed to improve
d
riving safety.
It
remains the driver's responsibility to
c
ontinuously monitor the state of the
t
raffic and to assess the distances and
r
elative speeds of other vehicles.
Active
City Brake can in no
c
ircumstances replace the need for
v
igilance on the part of the driver.
Never
look at the laser sensor through
an o
ptical
in
strument
(
magnifying
g
lass,
m
icroscope...) at a distance of less than
1
0 centimetres: risk of eye injury.Automatic
braking occurs later than if
d
one by the driver, so as to intervene
o
nly when there is a high risk of
c
ollision.Principle
Using a laser sensor located at the top of the windscreen, this system detects a vehicle
r
unning in the same direction or stationary
a
head of your vehicle.
When
necessary, the vehicle's braking system
i
s operated automatically to avoid a collision
w
ith the vehicle ahead.
Conditions for activation
Active City Brake only operates if the following conditions are met:
●
i
gnition on,
●
t
he vehicle is in a for ward gear,
●
s
peed is between about 3 and 18 mph
(5
and 30 km/h),
●
t
he braking assistance systems (ABS,
E
BFD, emergency braking assistance) are
n
ot faulty,
●
t
he trajectory control systems (ASR, DSC)
a
re not deactivated or faulty,
●
t
he vehicle is not in a tight corner,
●
t
he system has not been triggered during
t
he previous 10 seconds.

Operating faults
In the event of an impact to the windscreen at the sensor, deactivate
t
he system and contact a CITROËN
d
ealer or a qualified workshop to have
y
our windscreen replaced.
Never
try to remove, adjust or test the
sen
sor.
Only
a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
w
orkshop is able to work on the system.
When
towing a trailer or when the
v
ehicle is being towed, the system must
b
e deactivated.
Do
not
stick
or
other wise
fix
any
object o
n
the
windscreen
in
front
of
the
sensor.
Sensor fault
The operation of the laser sensor may suffer i
nter ference from accumulations of dirt or
m
isting of the windscreen. In this case you are
w
arned by the display of a message.
Use
the windscreen demisting and regularly
c
lean the area of the windscreen in front of the
sen
sor.
System fault
In the event of a malfunction of the system, you are warned by an audible signal and the display
o
f the message Automatic braking system
fault .
Have
the system checked by a CITROËN
d
ealer or a qualified workshop.
In
difficult

istances
increase,
which
can
