Operating faults
If several foot movements below the rear bumper  fail  to  open  the  tailgate,  wait  a Â
f
ew seconds  before  starting  again.
The
 function  is  automatically  deactivated  in  the Â
e
vent  of  heavy  rain  or  accumulation  of  snow.
If
 the  function  fails  to  operate,  check Â
t
hat  the  electronic  key  is  not  exposed  to Â
s
trong  electromagnetic  inter ference  (a Â
s
mar tphone, ...).
The
 function  may  not  work  correctly  with  a Â
pro
sthetic
 le
g.
The
 function  may  not  work  correctly  if  your Â
v
ehicle  is  fitted  with  a  towbar. In
 some  circumstances,  the  tailgate  may  only  o
pen  or  close,  particularly  if:

ou  hitch  or  unhitch  a  trailer,

To
 avoid  such  operating  problems,  keep  the Â

lectronic  key  away  from  the  recognition  zone Â

r  deactivate  "Hands-Free  Tailgate  Access".
Ensure
 that  no  object  or  person  might  prevent Â
t
he  correct  opening  or  closing  of  the  tailgate.
Be
 particularly  aware  of  children  when Â
o
perating  the  tailgate.

AlarmSystem which protects and provides a deterrent against theft and break-ins. It provides the following types of monitoring:
- Exterior perimeter
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
T he  alarm  is  triggered  if  anyone  tries  to  open  a Â
d
oor,  the  boot  or  the  bonnet...
- Interior volumetric
The system checks for any variation in the volume  in  the  passenger  compartment.
The
 alarm  is  triggered  if  anyone  breaks  a Â
w
indow,  enters  the  passenger  compartment  or Â
m
oves  inside  the  vehicle.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the disconnection  of  any  of  its  components.
The
 alarm  is  triggered  if  the  battery, Â
t
he  button  or  the  siren  wiring  is Â
d
isconnected
 o
r
 d
amaged.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
Activation
If an opening (door, boot, bonnet...) is not closed  fully,  the  vehicle  is  not  locked  but  the Â
e
xterior  perimeter  monitoring  will  be  activated Â

fter  a  delay  of  45  seconds,  at  the  same  time Â
a
s  the  interior  volumetric  monitoring.

Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the siren and  flashing  of  the  direction  indicators  for Â
t
hirty seconds.
The
 monitoring  functions  remain  active  until Â
t
he  alarm  has  been  triggered  eleven  times  in Â
s
uccession.
When
 the  vehicle  is  unlocked  using  the  remote Â
c
ontrol  or  the  Keyless  Entry  and  Starting Â
s
ystem,  rapid  flashing  of  the  indicator  lamp Â
i
n  the  button  informs  you  that  the  alarm  was Â
t
riggered  during  your  absence.  When  the Â
i
gnition  is  switched  on,  this  flashing  stops Â
i
mmediately.
Failure of the remote control
To deactivate the monitoring functions:

ith  the  remote  control)  in  the  driver's  door Â

ock.

pen  the  door;  the  alarm  is  triggered.

Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm

Operating fault
When the ignition is switched on, fixed illumination  of  the  indicator  lamp  in  the  button Â

ndicates  a  fault  in  the  system.

Automatic activation*
2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed,  the  system  is  activated  automatically.
