Wiper control stalk
Manual controls
The wipers are controlled directly by the driver.
Programming
Your vehicle may also include some functions
that can be configured:
-
a
utomatic rain sensitive windscreen wipers,
-
r
ear wiping on engaging reverse gear.
Windscreen wipers
Wiping speed control stalk: raise or lower the
stalk to the desired position.
Model with manual wiping
(intermittent)
Model with AUTO wiping
Fast wipe (heavy rain).
Normal wipe (moderate rain).
Intermittent wipe (proportional to the
speed of the vehicle).
Park.
Single wipe (press downwards or pull
the stalk briefly towards you, then
release).
OrA
utomatic wiping (press down,
then release).
Single wipe (pull the stalk briefly
towards you).
Do not operate the wipers on a dry
windscreen. Under extremely hot or
cold conditions, ensure that the wiper
blades are not stuck to the windscreen
before operating the wipers.
In wintry conditions, remove snow, ice
or frost present on the windscreen,
around the wiper arms and blades and
the windscreen seal, before operating
the wipers.

Heated windscreen and
washer jets*
This function heats the windscreen and washer
jets under cold conditions.In area 1 , the heating frees the wiper blades
when they are stuck by snow or ice.
In area 2 , the heating improves visibility by
avoiding the accumulation of snow when the
wipers are operating.
Switching on
F With the engine running, press this button; its indicator lamp comes on.
The period of operation depends on the
ambient temperature.
Pressing this button again switches the function
off; its indicator lamp goes off.
Special position of the
windscreen wipers
This position permits release of the windscreen
wiper blades.
It is used for cleaning or replacement of the
wiper blades. It can also be useful, in winter, to
release the wiper blades from the windscreen. To maintain the effectiveness of the
wiper blades, it is advisable to:

andle them with care,

c
lean them regularly using soapy
water,
-
a
void using them to retain
cardboard on the windscreen,
-
r
eplace them at the first signs of
w e a r.

A
ny action on the wiper stalk within one
minute after switching off the ignition
places the wiper blades vertically on the
screen.
F
T
o park the wiper blades again, switch on
the ignition and operate the wiper stalk.

Roof bars / Roof rack
To fit the transverse roof bars, use the fixing
points provided for this purpose:

pen the fixing covers on each bar,
F
p
ut each fixing in place and lock them on
the roof one by one,
F
e
nsure that roof bars are correctly fitted
(by shaking them),
F
c
lose the fixing covers on each bar.
The bars can be interchanged and are
adaptable to each pair of fixing points. To fit a roof rack, use the fixing points provided
for this purpose:

p
lace the roof rack on the roof aligned with
the fixing points and secure each one in
turn,
F
e
nsure that roof rack is correctly fitted
(by shaking it).
Be sure to refer to national legislation in
order to comply with the regulations for
transporting objects that are longer than
the vehicle. Maximum authorised weight on each
fixing point
, for a loading height not
exceeding 40 cm: 25 kg.
Maximum weight by vehicle size:

ompact (L1) with 8 fixing points:
200 kg

s
tandard (L2) and long (L3) with
10 fixing points: 250 kg
If the height exceeds 40 cm, adapt the
speed of the vehicle to the profile of the
road to avoid damaging the roof rack
or roof bars and the fixing points on the
roof.
Front mud flaps, rear mud flaps...
Screenwash, replacement fuses, wiper blades,
interior and exterior cleaning and maintenance
products, replacement bulbs...
To prevent the mat from becoming caught under the
pedals:
- ensure that the mat and its fixings are positioned
c o r r e c t l y,
- never fit one mat on top of another.Audio equipment, hands-free kit, speakers,
navigation...
Regardless of the audio and telematic equipment offered
on the market, the technical constraints linked with the
fitting of equipment of these families of products mean that
the special features of the equipment and its compatibility
with the capacities of the your vehicle's standard
equipment must be taken into account. Please contact a
dealer for information before fitting such equipment.

Changing a wiper blade
Before removing a front
wiper blade
Removing
F Raise the corresponding wiper arm.
F U nclip the wiper blade and remove it.
Fitting
F Put the corresponding new wiper blade in place and clip it.

old down the wiper arm carefully.
After fitting a front wiper
blade
F Switch on the ignition.
F O perate the wiper stalk again to park the
wiper blades.
F
W
ithin one minute after switching off
the ignition, operate the wiper stalk to
position the wiper blades vertically on the
windscreen.
