CONTINU AT I O N
2. DEF RECOM MENDAT IONS It is a failure on the power circuit of the fuel
pump relay.
C heck the connection and condition of the fuel pump relay connector .
R eplace the connector if necessary.
Check, with the contact set non, the pr e sence of the +12 volts supply at pole 1 of the fuel pump
relay.
M end if necessary.
C heck the fuel pump rela y coil.
R eplace the fuel pump rela y if necessary.
Check the insu lation and continuity of the line:
Pin 68 injection computer > pole 2 fuel pump relay
M end if necessary.
If the problem is persisting after these checking, treat the other failures then perform the conformity
checking.
P erform the operations from ” recommendations” for reparation confirma tion.
AF TER Fix any other possible failures
REPARATION Erase the failures memoriz ed by the injection computer.
Perform a conformity checking by means of the CLIP tester.

Conditions for diagnostic appl ication at memorized failure:
Se t the conta ct off and wait until the communication with the computer
is lo st.
RECOMMEND AT IONS
REMARK : If failure “DF009 : Actuators relay control circuit” is
prese nt or memoriz ed, it must be treated as most important, because
th is could be the cause of the failure occurring.
C heck the condition of the battery and of the vehicles electric masses.
M end if necessary.
C heck the connection and condition of the actuators relay connector .
Re place the connector if necessary.
Check with the contact set on, the pr e se nce of the +12 V supply at pole 3 of th e actuators relay.
Fi x the electric routing on the line towards the corresponding fuse .
C heck with the contact set on, the presence of +12 V supply at pole 5 of the actuators relay.
Repl ace the relay if necessa ry
C heck the insu lation and continuity on the line:
Pin 66 injection computer > p ole 5 actuators relay
M end if necessary.
Disconnect one by one the elements (injector, canister purging valve…) and observe the +12 V
s upply at the exit pole 5 of the actuator s relay, in order to identify the damaged one .
Replace the damaged el ement.
P erform the operations from ” recommendations” for reparation confirma tion.
AF TER Fix any other possible failures
REPARATION Erase the failures memoriz ed by the injection computer.

DF 345SUPPLY + 5 VOLTS POTENTIOMETERS AND SENSORS
P RESENT 1. DEF Open circuit or short-circuit
RECOMMEND AT IONS Check with the contact set on, the parame ter “PR004: computer
su pp lying voltage” ( measur ed voltage at battery: about 12 volts).
- if at limit the value is of 16 volts, it means there is a short-circuit at
mass.
- if at limit the value is of 10.7 volts, it means there is short-circuit at
+ 12 volts of one one of th e supply ways +5 volts
Ch eck the connection and condition of the connectors of the valve potentiometer, manifold pressure
s ensor and refrigerant fluid pressure transduc er 9if the re is on the vehicle ).
R eplace the connector/c onnectors if necessary.
Disc onne c t one by one, the following transduc e rs, if they a re passing from sta te prese nt to
me mo rized: valve potentiometer, manifold pressure transduc er and refrigerant fluid pressure
t ransducer (if there is on vehicle).
Treat the failure from the transducer, if necessary.
Check the insu lation ,continuity and the absence of the parasite resistance on lines:
Pin 74 injection computer > pin B valve potenti ometer
Pin 78 injection computer > pin C manifold pressure transducer
Pin 83 injection computer > pin B refrige rant fluid pressure transducer (if there is).
M end if necessary.
If the problem is persisting after these checking, treat the others failures then perform the conformity
checking.
Pe rform the operations from “recommendations” for reparation confirma tion
