DEVICE
This allows the space in front of the
vehicle to be lit for a set time.
Activation:with the ignition key on
STOP or removed, pull the stalk
towards the steering wheel within 2
minutes from turning the engine off.
Each time the stalk is moved, the lights
stay on for an extra 30 seconds up to
a maximum of 210 seconds; then
the lights are switched off automatically.
Each time the stalk is operated, the
warning light on the instrument
panel switches on and the display also
shows a message and how long the
function will remain active.
The
warning light comes on when
the stalk is first moved and stays on
until the function is automatically
deactivated. Each time the stalk is
activated it increases the time that the
lights remain on.
Deactivation:keep the stalk pulled
towards the steering wheel for more
than two seconds.REAR FOG LIGHTS

16)The daytime running lights are an
alternative to dipped headlights for driving
during the daytime. They are compliant
in countries where is it obligatory to have
lights on during the day and permitted
in those where it is not obligatory.
17)Daytime running lights cannot replace
dipped headlights when driving at night
or through tunnels. The use of daytime
running lights is governed by the highway
code of the country in which you are
driving. Comply with legal requirements.

D - Heated rear window and (for versions/markets, where provided) heated mirrors/heated windscreen activation/deactivation.
E - Fan speed adjustment and climate control system activation/deactivation knob (for versions/markets, where provided).
IMPORTANT It is advisable to switch the air recirculation on whilst queuing or in tunnels, or whilst driving on dusty roads, to
prevent the introduction of polluted air. However, it is better not to use the function for long periods, particularly if there are
many people on board, to prevent the windows from misting.
NoteTo stop the air flow from the vents, turn the knob to 0.
ADDITIONAL HEATER
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The additional heater speeds up passenger compartment warming when it is very cold. The heater switches on automatically
according to the environmental conditions and with engine started when the temperature of the engine coolant is low. The
additional heater turns off automatically after the required comfort conditions are achieved.
The heater only works if the outside temperature and engine coolant temperature are low. The heater will not activate if the
battery voltage is too low.

74)If the vehicle must be placed on a roller
bench (at a speed within 5 and 30 km/h)
for maintenance interventions or if it is
washed in an automatic roller washing
tunnel with an obstacle in the front part
(e.g. another vehicle, a wall or another
obstacle), the system may detect its
presence and activate. In this case the
system must be deactivated through the
display Setup Menu.
75)If the system signals a pressure
decrease on a specific tyre, it is
recommended to check the pressure on all
four tyres.
76)iTPMS does not relieve the driver from
the obligation to check the tyre pressure
every month; it is not even to be
considered a replacing system for
maintenance or a safety system.
77)Tyre pressure must be checked with
tyres cold. Should it become necessary for
whatever reason to check pressure with
warm tyres, do not reduce pressure even
though it is higher than the prescribed
value, but repeat the check when tyres are
cold.
78)The iTPMS cannot indicate sudden
tyre pressure drops (for example when
a tyre bursts). In this case, stop the vehicle,
braking with caution and avoiding abrupt
steering.
79)The system only warns that the tyre
pressure is low: it is not able to inflate
them.
80)Insufficient tyre inflation increases fuel
consumption, reduces the tread duration
and may affect the capacity to drive safely.
WARNING
28)The laser sensor may have limited or
absent operation due to weather
conditions such as: heavy rain, hail, thick
fog, heavy snow, formation of ice layers on
the windscreen.
29)Sensor operation may also be
compromised by the presence of dust,
condensation, dirt or ice on the
windscreen, by traffic conditions (e.g.
vehicles that are driving not aligned with
yours, vehicle driving in a transverse or
opposite way on the same lane, bend with
a small radius of curvature), by road
surface conditions and by driving
conditions (e.g. off-road driving). Make sure
the windscreen is always clean. Use
specific detergents and clean cloths to
avoid scratching the windscreen. The
sensor operation may also be limited or
absent in some driving, traffic and road
surface conditions.
30)Projecting loads on the roof of the
vehicle may interfere with the correct
operation of the sensor. Before starting
make sure the load is correctly positioned,
in order not to cover the sensor operating
range.
31)If the windscreen must be replaced
due to scratches, chipping or breakage,
contact exclusively a Fiat Dealership.
Do not replace the windscreen on your
own, risk of malfunction! It is advisable to
replace the windscreen if it is damaged
in the laser sensor area.32)Do not tamper nor operate on the laser
sensor. Do not close the openings in the
aesthetic cover located under the interior
rear view mirror. In the event of a sensor
failure, contact a Fiat Dealership.
33)Do not cover the operating range of the
sensor with stickers or other objects. Also
pay attention to other objects on the
bonnet (e.g. a layer of snow) and make
sure they do not interfere with the light
emitted by the laser.
34)If a trailer or a vehicle is towed the
system must be deactivated with the
display Setup Menu.

SAFETY
The unstable positions, in other words
those that are abandoned as soon
as the lever is released, are the
positions for requesting a higher gear
(+), requesting a lower gear (–) and
requesting automatic operating mode
(A/M).
IMPORTANT With the engine started,
any error between the lever position
and the gear actually engaged is
signalled by a buzzer until consistency
is restored.
MANUAL MODE
Proceed as follows:
❒press the brake pedal and start the
engine;
❒if AUTO appears on the display,
move the lever A fig. 80 to A/M
to select MANUAL mode;
❒push gear lever A towards (+) to
engage first gear (if starting from N or
R, simply place the lever in the middle
position) or R to engage reverse;
❒release the brake pedal and press
the accelerator pedal;
❒in driving conditions, push lever A of
the gearbox towards (+) to engage
the next gear up or towards (–) to
engage the next gear down.AUTOMATIC MODE
Proceed as follows:
❒press the brake pedal;
❒start the engine;
❒if AUTO does not appear on the
display, move the gear lever A fig. 80 to
A/M to select AUTOMATIC mode;
❒push the gear lever towards (+) to
engage 1st gear (if starting from N or R,
simply place the lever in the middle
position) or R to engage reverse;
❒release the brake pedal and press
the accelerator pedal: the gear most
suited to the vehicle speed will be
engaged.
AUTO-ECO OPERATION
To activate the function press the ECO
button fig. 81 on the central tunnel.
The ECO function can be only activated
only with automatic mode active.
81F1D0108
95
With the ECO function active, the
system will select the most suitable
gear depending on the vehicle speed,
engine rpm and intensity with which the
accelerator pedal is pressed, with the
aim of limiting fuel consumption.
“Kick Down” FUNCTION
(for versions/markets, where provided)
If necessary (e.g. when overtaking),
the system downshifts one or more
gears when the accelerator pedal
is depressed beyond the point where it
becomes stiff (and if the rpm allow it)
in order to provide suitable power and
torque for the acceleration requested
by the driver.
IMPORTANT The use of the “Kick
Down” function is recommended only
when overtaking or accelerating quickly,
in order not to increase fuel
consumption.
WARNING
43)Avoid keeping your hand on this lever
except during gear change or AUTO/
MANUAL mode requests.

MODE SELECTOR
(Panda Cross versions)
This device allows, using the ring nut of
the knob fig. 84 (on the central tunnel),
three vehicle response modes to be
selected according to driving style and
road conditions:
❒1 = AUTO mode;
❒2 = OFF ROAD mode;
❒3 = HDC function.
The ring nut is monostable type. In
other words, it always remains in a
central position. The selected driving
mode is indicated by the corresponding
LED switching on the knob and by an
indication on the display.

It is a driving mode aimed at setting off
in poor grip conditions on low-grip
road surfaces (e.g. snow, ice, mid, etc.).
Engagement
Rotate the ring nut fig. 84 to the right
and hold in this position for half a
second, until the corresponding LED
lights up and “Off Road” mode
activation indicator appears on the
display with a dedicated message.
When the "Off Road" mode is activated,
the presetting for ELD system
intervention activates automatically.
IMPORTANT When the "Off Road"
mode is activated, the Stop/Start
system is temporarily disabled.
Temporary deactivation of the system
switches on the corresponding LED on
the trim (located on the central
dashboard). To activate the Stop/Start
function, with "Off Road" mode on,
press the
button on the dashboard
trim. However, when the "Off Road"
mode is deactivated, the Stop/Start
system is enabled again.
IMPORTANT When the "Off Road"
mode is activated, the City Brake

❒make sure that the compressor
switch is in position 0 (off), start the
engine, plug into the power socket in
the central tunnel and operate the
compressor, turning switch A to
position I (on);
❒inflate the tyre to the pressure
specified in the "Inflation pressure"
paragraph in the "Technical
specifications" section. Check tyre
pressure on gauge B with compressor
off to obtain a more precise reading;
❒if after five minutes it is still impossible
to reach at least 1.8 bar, disengage
the compressor from the valve and
power socket, then move the vehicle
forwards by approx. ten metres in order
to distribute the sealing fluid inside the
tyre evenly, then repeat the inflation
operation;
❒if after this operation you still cannot
reach at least 1.8 bar after 5 minutes
from switching on the compressor,
do not resume driving but contact a
Fiat Dealership;
❒after driving for about 10 minutes
stop and check the tyre pressure again;
engage the handbrakeand park
safely;❒if a pressure value of at least 1.8 bar
is detected, restore the correct
pressure (with the engine running and
the handbrake engaged), resume
driving and drive with great care to the
nearest Fiat Dealership.
WARNING
147)Give the instruction brochure to the
personnel charged with handling the
tyre treated with the quick tyre repair kit.
148)Punctures on the sides of the tyre
cannot be repaired. Do not use the quick
tyre repair kit if the tyre is damaged as
a result of driving with it deflated.
149)If the wheel rim has been damaged
(bent so as to cause air to leak), the wheel
cannot be repaired. Do not remove foreign
bodies (screws or nails) from the tyre.
150)Do not use the compressor for more
than 20 consecutive minutes. Risk of
overheating. Tyres repaired with the quick
tyre repair kit must only be used
temporarily, as the kit is not suitable for a
definitive repair.
11
IN AN EMERGENCY
6
151)The information required by current
regulations, regarding the chemical
substances for the protection of human
health and the environment and on the safe
use of the sealing fluid, are on the
packaging label. Compliance with the
indications on the label is an essential
condition to ensure the safety and
the effectiveness of the product.
Remember to carefully read the label
before use; the user of the product
is responsible for any damages caused by
improper use. The sealing fluid has an
expiry date. Replace the bottle if the
sealant has expired.
152)Put on the protective gloves provided
together with the quick tyre repair kit.
153)Apply the adhesive label where it can
be easily seen by the driver as a reminder
that the tyre has been treated with the
quick repair kit. Drive carefully, particularly
on bends. Do not exceed 80 km/h. Avoid
sudden acceleration or braking.
154)If the pressure has fallen below 1.8
bar, do not drive any further: the quick tyre
repair kit cannot guarantee the correct
hold because the tyre is too damaged.
Contact a Fiat Dealership.
155)Always indicate that the tyre was
repaired using the quick tyre repair kit. Give
the leaflet to the personnel charged with
handling the tyre treated with the tyre
repair kit.
